Rough Draft Assignment Analysis

We had a good meeting this week. The end of this term is approaching. You have completed most of final assignments and are ready to prepare for your final exams. These next two weeks look less busy. So, I would like to encourage you to use this time to work on your portfolio and resume and get ready to apply for jobs. Dr. Tan has some information about jobs tat you can apply for. Meet with her to have this information on hand.

Refer to the resource entitled “Research Critique Part 2.” Questions under each heading should be addressed as a narrative, in the structure of a formal paper. You are also required to include an Introduction and Conclusion.

For your Final Paper you will conduct a research study critique.  Utilize the instructor-approved topic that you selected in Week One of the course.  Identify three to five quantitative research studies from peer-reviewed sources which were published within the last ten years that investigate this topic.  Describe

Thank you for sharing your post. I found it incredible enlightening to read how this assignment worked in a clinical setting with real clients. I enjoyed reviewing your check in questions as well as your choice to integrate a video, which I would assume is helpful for the visual learners and those new to breathing exercises. Through collectively sharing their positive coping mechanisms in response to anger, the participants are able to learn from each other. It is great that you were able to challenge the group to reflect on additional coping skills regularly utilized. During the past few weeks, I've found out that I have not been inspired by anyone or anything because of my lack of not exploring the world. But so far, I could be interested on three kinds of careers that might benefit me economically and socially. One of them is to work as a person who demolish tall buildings, I personally enjoy watching things being torn into pieces ; I guess that has something to do with my childhood. But in the other hand, I also enjoy working with animals, for example when i was a freshman in high school my english teacher took us to a field trip to an animal shelter ; I personally forgot what the whole point of going to an animal shelter was for. Anyway, during the time that I attended the animal shelter, I saw how these animals were abandoned by their owners in the streets, and with no love ; because I guess they are not cute like they were when they were young. I personally think that every single pet in this world deserves some love by their owners.

The instruction for this week’s assignment is “The area of a triangle is given by the formula Area = 1/2 * Base * Height. Using the IDLE development environment, create a Python script named t_area.py . Your script must calculate the area of a triangle and display the results of the calculation. The triangle that your script must calculate the areas for has a base of 12 inches and a height of 16 inches. IDLE has both an interactive mode and a script mode. First of all, I believe that I should have found at least one more source that I could have used extensively in my paper. The biggest issue that I had was trying to stretch out my research paper to five pages, so the addition of another great source would have probably benefitted me in that regard. Secondly, I feel as if I procrastinated the start of this assignment. I believe that my research could have been even better had I decided to start working on the assignment earlier. The feedback I recieved for both my response paper, and my conversation paper was very helpful in helping me see where there is room for improvement. In my response paper, Amy pointed out a writing error and a quotation error. My classmates suggested that I go a bit further into detail about Freire's ideas.

The main idea of outcome four is revision, editing, and proofreading. To accomplish this objective, I must closely look at my writing to fix the grammar and punctuation errors. I also must make substantial revisions from the initial draft that was submitted for class. A successful revision has more than one person contributing to it. By allowing professors and peers to read my paper and leave comments for me, helps strengthen my paper immensely. Being able to respond to these comments, as well as thoroughly revise my paper, shows that I am proficient in meeting the needs of this outcome.

My three goals from the week 1 assignment were to use a smaller plate, sip smarter, and to satisfy my sweet tooth in a healthy way. I feel that I did ok with all three of my goals in the short term. I used a smaller plate during dinner, I made my sweet tea with half the sugar, and ate a lot of fruit. In the beginning it was hard to eat with a child’s plate and I would find myself getting second helpings. I was able to cut out some sweets during the two weeks however I really need to work on the amount of sugar I add to my coffee in the morning.
