Earlier I mention about RU 486 used in medical abortion, now I would like to share the results of the procedure.
RU 486 can cause few serious side effects. Again, from Costa’s, Abortion: A Reference Handbook demonstrate how heavy bleeding can cause hemorrhage. Hemorrhage is rare to happen because Michelle M. Isley, MD, and Paul Blumenthal, MD, who wrote, What’s old, what’s new, add that between 2% and 10% of women will need operation to control hemorrhage. Isley and Blumenthal also reveal nausea as the most common side effect that may result in vomiting or diarrhea. Continuing from their research, more than 80% of women in the U.S have reported side effects of pain after medical abortion. The pain results in cramping, headaches and dizziness.

In the United States today, 25% of all pregnancies end in abortion (Abortion: All Sides). With so many lives in the balance, one of the primary arguments has become the physical health of women who have abortions. Of the women that previously had a surgical abortion 90% said they would prefer the pill if they had another abortion and would recommend it to others (Robinson). However one of the side effects of RU 486 is bleeding up to 9 days, compared to a surgical abortion’s five day duration (Robinson). The recovery process is quicker with a surgical abortion but more traumatic. One death in 200,000 occur with a surgical abortion, compared to one in 500,000 with the abortion pill. Both of these alternatives are far safer for the mother than childbirth that claims one death in every 14,300 births (Robinson). These statistics prove that the safest alternative for the mother in the event of a pregnancy is an abortion using the abortion pill and the most dangerous is going through with childbirth. However the safest thing for the child is natural childbirth by far. The voice of the life in question is never heard and it has a one hundred percent chance of death in the first 2 cases.
First type of risk could be pelvic infections which is basically the infection of the woman's organs of her reproductive system. This is usually common once after legal abortion is over with. This affects many
A quick history of abortion pills and how they came to be comes from WebMD. The top drug used for abortions is mifepristone also known as RU-486. Testing of the drug began in 1983 when the FDA issued a permit. Jan. 1993 President Clinton asked for the FDA to reconsider their import ban. In 1994-1995 the Population Council the U.S. patent rights for mifepristone, and clinical trials began. In September 1996 the FDA issued an approval for RU-486 to be used as a safe alternative to surgical abortion, but they also said, they wanted more information on how the drug was manufactured and labeled before they could make their final decision. On September 28, 2000 the FDA approved RU-486 as a method for early medical abortion.
Some of the possible risks and side effects of having an abortion is vomiting, diarrhea, warm and cold chills, dizziness, fatigue, allergic reaction to the medicines, haemorrhage possibly requiring treatment with an
Late term abortion, whereby of twenty weeks an unborn fetus is injected with Dignoxin, giving the fetus a painful fatal heart attack and allowing the women’s body to undergo physical repercussions. The procedure takes the women through three to four days of painful incisions and contractions until the abortion’s complete. The procedure may not always succeed which can lead to unexpected live births. The mother may also experience some effects after the abortion, such as minor spotting to serious complications like a hemorrhage. Women, who have abortions, increase the chances of having future pregnancy complications.
Abortion can cause periods of depression in which the pain can encysted. Some women become aggressive or nervous, or even hyperactive. Anxiety can find an answer food such as bulimia or, conversely, anorexia. For others, psychosomatic reactions will take over with stomach aches, absence of periods, headaches, the loss of self-esteem ("I'm bad, I'm unworthy, painful for others"), the fear of not being pregnant again or anxiety of existential insecurity are consequences commonly observed. Some episodes of a woman’s life can relive the acutely suffering felt at the time of abortion: the date in which the child had been born, or the anniversary date of the abortion, the desire to make present the dead child, are conducive to outbreaks of suffering intensely lived as, for example, anxiety or depressive
Parents lead busy lives. With a thousand errands to be taken care of, it can be tempting to leave a child in the car while ducking into the store or dropping off some dry cleaning. It can even be easy to completely forget that a child is in the car at all.
According to RCW 49.60.010, it prohibits discretion of race, creed, color, national origin, families with children, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, age, veterans and military, mental or physical disabilities. Under RCW 49.60.310, those who fail to obey RCW 49.60 are guilty of a misdemeanor. Imposing gender orientation in public bathrooms’ affects Washington State’s economy for small businesses, economics and finance, and urban/rural economic ties. There are three types of transgender individuals; Genderqueer (individuals who see themselves as both male and female), Gender non-conforming (individuals who do not conform to traditional gender roles), and transgender (individuals who are born as one sex, but identify with another).
Abortion is not painless for the mother either. Over ninety-seven percent of women have reported feeling pain it is often described as intense, severe, or very severe. Abortion is also not without side effects. Complications such as bleeding, hemorrhaging, menstrual disturbances or inflammation of the reproductive organs. Sometimes abortion can cause damage to the uterus and make the woman infertile for the rest of her life. (Abortion some medical facts pamphlet.) Also if you are a women and have had an abortion you increase your chances of having breast cancer by fifty percent. Abortion has no good results in for the mother or the poor murdered baby. In the end it will always cause physical and emotional pain.
The abortion pill, called RU-486, is a combination of drugs that induces miscarriage in pregnant women. The drug, which is administered during the first 10 weeks of gestation, causes nausea, heavy bleeding, and severe abdominal pain
Partial-birth abortions in the third trimester, and the recent “day-after” or the RU-486 pill, now add a new attitude on the abortion issue. Partial-birth abortions and abortions in the third trimester are exceedingly controversial, because they involve the termination and/or expulsion of an actual fetus from the womb, whereas many early-prenatal abortions involve the expulsion of the embryo. In some countries, and for a while in America, partial-birth abortions meant that the baby was breached halfway through the womb, and then its neck was broken, which killed the baby instantly. Since then, the United States has banned it as a result of the many infuriated pro-life and even some pro-choice members who found it to be extremely inhumane. The RU-486 pill sends messages telling the brain that the woman that was inseminated, was already pregnant, and that the ovum that had been created, is removed because the body believes it is already impregnated. These operations raise many of the same problems as abortion itself.
Abortions can cause women to have both physical and psychological side effects that are agonizing. Physical side effects can include soreness and pain from the actual procedure. When contrasted to other pains, researchers have evaluated the pain from abortion as more painful than a bone fracture, about the
But the worst strain abortion has on the victim is mental strain. Many victims become confused and overwhelmed by feelings they thought they would never have, and don't know what to do. After having an abortion victims thought they had solved the problem, but in fact they had really just started a whole new one. Many victims begin thinking there is something wrong with them and begin to doubt themselves in situations that they would normally be sure of
In post-abortion syndrome, which equals PTSD, the symptoms would include depression, guilt, anger, and social and sexual dysfunction (Arthur 7). Another combination of feelings women experience after an abortion are shame and anger. The shame comes from the looking back at the experience they have just been through. The anger comes from knowing they were responsible for their shame (De Puy 116).
