As described in multiple reports, articles thoroughly explain the time exhausting process of camouflaging the Weaver family’s incident. First, the FBI destroyed many documents regarding what had occurred. The FBI also told the media incorrect information to make it seem like the Weaver family was in the wrong. Knowing that the government continuously was not prosecuted for their actions is very alarming. However, some justice has been served to those in power who are in the wrong. Regarding to the Ruby Ridge case, it wasn’t until June 5th, 2001 when Lon Horiuchi was charged for his activity. “The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals allows prosecution to go forward against Lon Horiuchi, holding that federal agents are not necessarily immune from

Catastrophically, the assassination of Doctor Martin Luther King was devastating. The prosecution built their theory that James Earl Ray was a racist. We watched a documentary of Larry Davis in class on Wednesday. We don’t hear about this types of court case because government do not want public to know, and that is very scary. This is only the case I know that a “suspect” who is not found guilty and court dropped all the accused charges, who shot and killed six police officers and escaped arrest for seventeen days. It is very frightening that how government officials manipulate you and tries to kill you because you know the truth and fear they might be exposed. I am Larry Davis is not only a victim of law enforcement. I recently watched a tedTalk about how FBI are responsible for creating terrorist such al-Quaid, as al-Shabaab and ISIS. A journalist Trevor Aarsoson claims that FBI are exploiting
Anderson’s retelling of the Emmett Till case shows a hostile world before the case even takes place; the author takes a new perspective, rather than focusing on the case and its aftermath, its main focus laid on understanding the world that Till and most African Americans were forced to live in during this time period.
If we watched something that endangered someone´s life, is it our job to speak up and say something and will we be guilty if we had not said anything or done anything? In the Ruling of the Scottsboro Case, Sam Lebowitz stood up and fought for those 9 boys that were accused of rape, also in Wiesel´s Nobel Prize Acceptance Wiesel stood up and spoke about the suffering that he and the other went through, and To Kill a Mockingbird Atticus fought for the innocence of Tom Robinson. They all stood up and said something because if they didn´t, they would be guilty because they did not say anything when they can help them out. If we are bystanders, we cannot stay silent because it is our job to help out those in need even if it endangers our life.
Undeniably, the book Redemption at Hacksaw Ridge by Booton Herndon is an interesting yet enlightening read which follows Desmond Doss' heroic actions during World War 2. This book is a biography of Desmond Doss who always wished to become a medic, but never received much education as a child. When Doss was one step closer to his dream, he was outcasted and tolerated torture from other soldiers who refused to accept that he is a conscientious objector. The setting of this book first takes place in Virginia, where Doss was born, but the majority of the book takes place at a steep, jagged cliff called the Hacksaw Ridge.
Writing essays has always been one of my fears because of the fact that Spanish is my primary language. However, comp skills has helped me slowly overcome that fear and be more comfortable with my writing. I have also noticed that the more I write essays the better I continue to write good essays. In this paper I will write about what skills I have learned, how I have used the writing skills on college courses and outside of school, and how will I continue using the skills that comp skills has taught me this semester. Not only am I getting comfortable with writing essays but I am also making a habitat of reading them aloud to help me find my mistakes.
