On January 5, 1931, in Rogers, Texas Alvin and Lula Elizabeth Ailey gave birth to Alvin Ailey Jr. An African American choreographer/activist who founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. When Alvin was only less than one year old, his father, a labor, left the family. Being an only child at the age of six, Alvin Jr. moved with his mother to Navasota, Texas.

Edward Weston was born on March 24, 1886, in Highland Park, Illinois. He was an American Photographer; living and taking pictures in Chicago for the majority of his young life. At the age of 16, Weston was given his first camera, a Kodak Bulls-Eye number two, by his father. Weston furthered his school career at Illinois College of Photography in Effington, Illinois then later moved to California in the year 1906. Fredrick J rose was born the 21 Sep 1831 in England. The first 4 years of Roses life was hearing until he developed scarlet fever that lead him to lose his hearing. In 1852 Rose moved from England to Australia were he decided he wanted to open an institution, at this point in time the need for a school for deaf children to attend was in a high demand as the government had not provided any schools to attend or provided any assistance towards educating the deaf children of the colony. Because of this Rose opened up a little school in Prahran allowing access to education for deaf children before 1866 were he officially opened “Victorian Deaf and Dumb Institution “now known as “The Victorian College for the Deaf” where he was elected the Headmaster.
