Russian and American Lives The world around us has yet to realize the comparable lives between Russia’s and America’s life styles. There are many differences between Russian and American cultural life, such as their defining and histories. Russia, also known as Russian Federation, is the largest country in the world. It is made up of 9 various time zones and shares its land borders with 14 neighboring countries. America, known as the United States of America, is only the third-largest country in the world with a total area of 3,806,000 square miles. It also includes 4 time zones. Russian culture focuses on family, friendship, and traditions. Russia is a secular state, where no religion may be established as a state or compulsory. As well as the freedom of conscience and religion is guaranteed by the Constitution. All citizens of the given the right to profess any religion and the right to be a Christian. Despite this, there are many believers in Russia. In the country there are more than 70 religious denominations. Most of the believers in Russia are Christians in the form of the Russian Orthodox Church. Islam is the second prevalence of religion in Russia. Also from the common religions in the territory of the Russian Federation is called Buddhism, Judaism and Protestantism. Russian literature is a strong and tremendous style to learn more about the Russian culture and attain about the Russian ways of understanding, caring, fighting, and being passionate. It is interesting that “Russian literature has also had a worldwide impact, with writers such as Leon Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoevsky still being read around the world.” The most colorful place in Russia is Kremlin; it is also the oldest place in Moscow, Russia’s capital. The idea is supported by the belief that “The Kremlin is Russia 's mythic refuge, a self-contained city with a multitude of palaces, armories, and churches, a medieval fortress that links the modern nation to its legendary past in the ancient state of Kievan Rus '.”
