Bourtzeff’s justifies his opposition to the government’s policies and supporting the war by expressing the need for peace and unity in Russia. He states that the political parties of Russia are unified due to the Great war. Many socialists hoped that this war would bring reform to the country because they thought the government would have to make reforms. In comparison to during WWII, the cold war played a major part in changing the basics of the economy and the government. The economy boomed due to the baby boom and the change in transportation in society. The government of the cold war was affected by events such as the civil rights movement and the red scare. The economy in WWII was solely booming due to the war, but during the cold war, it was pushed by poth post war industry and other reasons.
PARAGRAPH 2: The end of World War 2 allowed two world superpowers to emerge on a global stance -- The Soviet Union and The United States. Both countries were victorious regarding World War 2 and aimed to consolidate their power by advancing substantially by means of technology, military strength, and even astronomy. The “race” for both of these countries to solidify their strength and power is known as the Cold War. The positive effects of the Cold War would be that the United States was the first country in the world to place a man on the moon. The Apollo 11 Mission in 1969 made Neil Armstrong the first man ever to be on the moon, a win for the United States as they knocked down their Soviet competition in The Space Race.

For example, in the decades prior, people used to be able to come and go through a country whenever they wanted. After, however, the League of Nations ruled that traveling should be standardized, in an attempt to improve national security, possibly to try to prevent someone of such importance from being assassinated like that again. Thus, passports became pretty much mandatory to move. There were a multitude of fears about the Cold War that the American people feared in the aftermath of the second World War, which it says in document A. The Americans feared the soviet union for three reasons. They were the first to put up an orbiting satellite, they had nuclear bombs, and there was a fear of communism in the US. American people feared that there was communism in there country because China turned to communism. There fears were only increased by the Eisenhower administration and the media’s actions.

Chaucer associates a distinctive theme for each character in the tale to clearly portray them in order to help the reader better comprehend their role in the story. The tale is somewhat tragic yet humorous because many horrific things that happen to the characters that they did deserve. The story consists of two love triangles, in which Chaucer depicts each character’s role clearly by giving each character different types of personality. Chaucer depicts Nicholas as sly and very discreet, Alison as young, playful, attractive girl that loves showing off what she has, Carpenter as a stupid fool and old jealous husband, and lastly portrayed Absolon as very trim and proper. The characteristics of each character collide and disloyalty takes place which results in wounding people in different ways and all of them fittingly so except for Alison.
