Good morning Ms. Wall
It is that time of year again! You guessed it, BACK TO SCHOOL. I have always held the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and goals, as such, I have dedicated my time to helping students excel, with the help of SELK Tutoring. At SELK, we believe in a holistic form of education, one comprised of academics, nutrition, motivation, fitness, college prep, and much more, so we incorporated it all. Part of achieving my goal this year is to continue to help educate both, students and parents, but in order to do this I need your help. I would like to hold the GRATIS BOOT CAMP, where you and I may have the opportunity to inform parents of the recent changes to the SAT & ACT. The GRATIS BOOT CAMP,
Good morning everyone I'm Adriel when I talk about the word occupation what comes up into your mind? For the general public, this picture often pops up into their mind that occupation is different types of jobs. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg of the definition of occupation in my field. So what exactly Occupational Therapy is?
I would like to share missed class attendance by Autumn LaMadrid, Amber Brooks, Jimia Horns, and Natalie Sgro.
Thank you so much for the invitation to interview at WVSOM and the opportunity to speak with you during the panel session. After leaving the interview, I felt very at home and welcomed to the campus. Additionally, knowing the faculty goes above and beyond to help the students is so unique and was portrayed in numerous instances today.
The program conducted a parent and student orientations during the week of August 24th. We had about 100 parents in attendance and broke up the group by class year. We provided a parent/handbook in both Spanish and English. This year's goal was to focus on students' grade point average. It was explained that success in the program this year was defined by having a grade point average of a 3.0 or better and how parents could support their children with this goal.

The Anna Dale Dalton Competitive Scholarship Award on behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated would invigorate my determination to change the community around me. I always strive to serve my community in four tiers. The first tier, Scott County High School, is the most immediate to me. In the past year I have established a library of resources solely dedicated to Advanced Placement, SAT, and ACT review materials that any student has access to. I have done this because Scott County High School has the largest Advanced Placement Program in the state of Kentucky, one that I have helped nurture for the past three years through my position as President of Advanced Placement Advisory Council. When the school board refused to allow the

Throughout my life I have been fortunate enough to receive both public and private education, shaping me into the student I am today. Although these two types of education have had their negatives and positives on me, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Since fifth grade I have attended several pre-college programs through the University of Wisconsin system and have been fortunate enough to meet great people, who eventually became my mentors. I most recently completed an internship through UW-Madison’s PEOPLE (Pre-College Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence) program, where I worked at a summer camp with elementary school kids for five weeks. This program among others, helped me prepare for the academic rigor of college in some shape or form.

For most students in the 21st century, it has become somewhat of a norm to apply and continue education after high school. Every student wants to push themselves to achieve greatness. The rush of college applications includes a lot such as: writing essays, applying for scholarships, and taking the SATs. The SAT is a worldwide recognized test that

Throughout life we express ourselves through words. The way we present ourselves through speech says a lot about our character. The way one speaks to others can jeopardize the amount of respect and trust others have for them. From the way one pronounces a word to their posture can affect the way an audience interprets what is being said. Personally, I am not confident with my speaking skills at this point. I would like my audience to fully comprehend the concepts or facts that I would present to them. In order to do so I must improve my speaking skills I believe that a problem most people, including myself, have when giving speeches is facing an audience. Just looking out to an audience of a mere ten
The best way to prepare for a presentation, one must consider the best method, the type of presentation and the audience for a given topic. There are four different types of presentation methods they are; Impromptu, Extemporaneous Speaking, Using a Manuscript, and Memorization. Each of the four methods is appropriate in certain situations. Impromptu is a speech that frequently involves no preparation time and forces you to think on your feet. With no opportunity to prepare, you must rely on what you know. Extemporaneous is a speech that involves preparation and practice. This form of delivery has many advantages.
