I realize that there have been many things that have influenced my growth as an individual. However, because I am so often drawn to ideas in math and science, I’d have to conclude that these two fields of study pose the most compelling as far as personal development. My interest in these fields have impacted who I am today. As a younger student I did not really care much about school. In fact, my second grade teacher pronounced me a failure, but my parents believed in my strengths, and gradually school turned a corner for me. By the end of my sophomore year I had begun watching lectures of theoretical physics, and deep space astronomy from the World Science Festival. I went into my Junior year very ambitious and self motivated! My cumulative GPA within
As those who love physics or chemistry, or biology, are most likely to understand difficult and complex concepts and be successful in their respective subjects, I became more successful at understanding mathematical concepts as my junior year progressed and as my senior year began. Calculus became an infinitely easier subject and one that I could comprehend with relative ease, even easier than traditionally “easy” subjects for me such as history or language arts. I learned that I could fly through problem sets and enjoy it, and for the first time in my school life, I was the one answering my peers’ questions instead of being the designated clueless classmate. Learning to love something that is so essential to life made me enjoy myself and my life more than I had previously, and I no longer felt the self-doubt of not being “gifted” in mathematics in a group of mathematically “gifted” students. I feel markedly more confident in my mathematical abilities, both presently and in the future as a student majoring in
At the Introduction to PD workshop I identified two broad reasons why I decided to pursue my MBA. The first was to develop my competence as a manager. The second and more important reason was to advance my career by making myself more marketable. The job market today is undoubtedly very competitive and I realised that a first degree was not sufficient if I wanted to 'climb the corporate ladder'. It is hoped that this MBA would help me to take advantage of any future opportunities when they become available. My personal development journey thus far has quite
For reaching to my dreams I needed to start with a globally with a well established organization and luckily I got selected in the campus interview at my college during my engineering. Working with Wipro Technologies for over 2 and a half years gave me a little insight into the corporate world ethics which went through various phases including the Recession Period when the market was on a low and it was tough to sustain your job. I keenly observed the behavior of employees and the management during recession. The results were not encouraging as the employee management relation was deteriorating day by day during this economically hit period. I want to make a difference to the organization I work with in my future even during the economic slowdown. I am passionate about all my dreams in making it true. However I do need help to shape myself to the best ever manager with which I could make differences to the quality of lives of the people and companies across the globe. Pursing a MSC in Human Resource Management and Business degree became inevitable for me as it was my path to future career so decided to do my Masters from Aston University which provides a quality education. The UK higher Education system combines the best elements of tradition and modernity. The quality of UK degree is one reason why I plan to come to The UK and study. Another is the value for money. Also the
Studying in a premier Institute like has given me an opportunity to work with students having similar motivation and aspirations. Apart from academics, I have developed a personality on all fronts with active involvement in social work, sports, participating in inter-college symposiums and debating, striking a perfect balance between work and play. These invigorating interactions have nurtured in me the qualities of team spirit and the desire to help others. I have attended several rigorous camps and they have cultivated in me a sense of discipline, persistence, diligence and resilience, which I feel is critical for any successful speculation in life. I believe in hard-work and sincerity. My strength lies in my ability to learn from experience and capacity to face challenges on my own.
Many aspiring CEOs choose to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a similar graduate degree. These programs can be pursued before finding work within an industry or after having been employed for some time. Those who are currently working in a corporate or managerial position can enroll in a part-time professional or executive MBA program that integrates practical employment knowledge into the curriculum. MBA students might take classes in strategic management, finance, organizational theories and managerial economics. For individuals who may have an interest in leading a global organization, pursuing study abroad options allows the study of international business and the development of different cultural and societal skills. Most MBA programs require students to select a concentration to focus on. Individuals can take advantage of this opportunity by selecting an emphasis that relates to the industry they wish to advance in. Many programs allow students to specialize in fields like marketing, finance, information technology,
My interest towards mathematics made me to take Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects during my intermediate (10+2). After obtaining 94% marks in Intermediate and securing a top 6% rank in engineering entrance test, I opted for Computer Science Engineering in JNTU College of Engineering. Immediately after my Bachelor’s degree, I secured the job in Wipro Technologies and this offered me numerous opportunities to learn about the technical aspects of Software industry.
There has been a number of years between completing my bachelor’s of science in engineering and my pursuit of an MBA degree. What began as a one-year break from school turned into marriage, raising a family and all of the responsibilities that accompany life. Nevertheless, the desire never left me and the opportunity to pursue this degree has been one of the best decisions I have made. Although my background is in engineering, one of my most compelling passions have been in the area of teaching and mentoring. The pursuit of an advanced business degree usually means learning the skills necessary to enter into corporate America with the opportunity for high salaries and profit sharing; however, the skills obtained from an MBA degree can prepare graduates for career changes that may not actually include business in the common sense of the word. Though the education industry is not known for doling out high salaries, business students seem to be increasingly seeking jobs in the policy, technology, and management of education, say education professionals and business students (Wecker, 2012). Thesis Statement: As one actively in pursuit of a Masters in Business Administration, the vision of my career efforts is to promote leadership development within the context of education administration, incorporate new growth opportunities within the institution and surrounding community, as well as promote the spirit of
This book is being written by a cohort of MBA students, a number of whom have graduate degrees in other disciplines. They can vouch for the fact an MBA program is different from other masters programs where the student “dives deep” into a subject area. An MBA program is more like “puddle jumping” as the cohort studies one subject area after
Education has always been the topmost priority in my life. I finished my schooling under Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board and passed out with an excellent result of 89.60%. As I was fascinated with mathematics and science concepts I decided to take up science stream at the pre university level. I passed out with a result of
While Math has helped me explore and understand many underlying concepts that also appear in Physics, it has also helped me develop both specific skills, like interpreting experiments through statistics, and broader ones, like becoming better at sticking to deadlines and improving the way I study and manage my time. Through History, I was able not just to learn about the past, but understand how History is written, how sources are interpreted, and how those interpretations will often vary from person to person. Additionally, I was able to develop my writing skills, particularly when it comes to argumentative writing. Studying French has not given me just the ability to start understanding and producing basic sentences; but a new cultural understanding in addition to the ability of assuming a new point of view and understanding how people think differently through that language. It is to this rich selection of subjects that I believe I owe having successfully completed a culture-fair IQ test and securing a place in
After graduation, I joined an electro-mechanical engineering company named “VEP Ltd” which is associated with “Voltas Limited” as a “System Solution Provider.” My position was a ‘Project Engineer’ and the working experience as engineer give me the opportunity to grow professionally and acquiring knowledge of engineering in real world.
Life is just like the ocean, whatever choice you make as a steersman, you must be well aware of your favorite, that is, it is worthy of pursuing in your whole lifetime. My high school physics teacher influenced me a lot in life choices. First of all, I have cultivated great interest in physics from junior high school. It has been my most favorite subject. As a result, my physics grades have been the best among my batch. During my high school studies, I took part in the High School Student’s Olympic Competition of mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry. I won the third prize of provincial level for biology and chemistry, and the second prize of municipal level for physics. While during the learning process of undergraduate courses, I gradually cultivated a strong interest
Since childhood I always excelled at quantitative and logical abilities. Thus, I had a strong inclination for mathematics and physics. This led me to opt for mathematics, physics and chemistry as my majors at higher secondary level (10+2). After completing high school with outstanding grades, I was interested in pursuing my further studies
management and intrigued me a lot, further consolidating my desire to take up studies at
