I want to attend the Academy because I love science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. Additionally, I want to pursue a career in STEM and enhance my knowledge in the subject. I’ve loved being involved in STEM projects since third grade when I joined the Gifted and Talented program. I’m extremely interested in STEM which led me to choose the technology elective in eighth grade. People who learn STEM have the ability to change the world which is what I want to do. STEM is everywhere in our daily lives and by learning about it, I could end environmental problems, world hunger, and even find a cure to cancer. STEM involves several real-life situations which leads to numerous enjoyable, challenging, creative, innovative, and fascinating
I became interested in the STEM camp because I believe this camp will benefit me an enormous deal in the future. Attending the camp will support my future academic goals. In college, I intend to specialize in science, math, and technology. The STEM camp will help develop my educational interests and provide a glimpse into what I can expect from studying the areas of math, science and technology and engineering. I know that my future career will involve knowledge in these subjects and I want to do everything possible to allow myself to be exposed to whatever educational opportunities that can help me develop these skills. I would also like to have an experience at UTRGV because it is one of my possible college choices at this
I’m interested in attending USNA Summer STEM because I have a strong interest in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I plan on attending the United States Naval Academy and graduate as a Nuclear Reactor Engineer and serve my country for life. I have made strong connections with the staff at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and want to make great connections with the staff, cadets, and shipmates I’d be working alongside with at the academy. I hope to serve my country with Honor, Courage, and Commitment in the STEM field of the U.S. Navy.
For many people in eighth grade, their college and career paths are uncertain. As for me, my college and career is already mapped out. I already know that I want to have in computer sciences, and I already know that I will be successful if I were in one of Kingsway’s academies. The field that I want to get into, computer sciences, could fall into both, the STEM and BLA, academies. Computer sciences could fall under the “Technology” or “Engineering” part of the STEM program. It could also fall under BLA because of its focus on technology and problem solving. In addition to my educational field, the academies will help me achieve my goal of becoming something similar to a computer systems analyst. Both of the academies could help me work on
I am a student at Valley Prep Academy (VPA) in Fresno, California. I am 12 years old and I have been at this school for three years. This is the best school I ever been to! I want this classroom to be comfortable as it can be. For this to happen we would like it if their is alternative seating. At (VPA) we have also have gotten all our school and office supplies from Staples.
I would love to attend Wake STEM Early College High School because I believe it will give me a head start on my learning after the high school level. Your program will improve my college experience and save thousands of dollars in college tuition by giving me an associates degree and high school diploma upon graduation. I am also exceedingly interested in a career in science or mathematics. I have always been focused on learning science and math because it is something I love to do and I can have a successful career in the future by using those skills. I understand that attending this prestigious school will require a certain level of maturity and willingness to work hard. As an 8th grader at West Lake Middle School, I am a member of the National
I would love to attend TARGET. Attending The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology would be an exhilarating opportunity for me to learn more about engineering and technology. I would like to familiarize them with career opportunities within engineering. Engineering and technology are part of everyday life. Math and science have permanently captured my interest since second grade. I am driven by discovery and innovation, TARGET is just right for me. I love hands-on activities, labs, and projects. The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology would allow me to explore my full potential. The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology is ideal for me because I am clever, determined, and creative. Therefore, I would love to attend TARGET.
Before I answer the questions posed, I believe an explanation is owed regarding this request for admission into Saybrook. I originally applied to The Chicago School of Professional Psychology seeking a degree in business psychology. Since the program was not ready to start for another year, it was suggested that I take courses in the international psychology program. I thoroughly enjoyed this new experience with an opportunity to “think global”. I optioned to remain in this program with a concentration in organizations and systems. As I sojourned through, I was always aware that there was still something missing. Although I loved being part of the IP program, my roots are deeply entrenched in the world of organizational development (OD).
I am a senior at Ontario High School and am expecting to graduate this May. I was born in Querendaro, Mexico and then moved to Ontario, Oregon. While in high school I have already obtained a few college credits at a reduced price, but even though I obtained them at a reduced price it was still challenging to pay for them. In my house, there is my two parents, my two sisters and myself, all living with one parent household income and some help. I also had the advantage to complete the Certified Nursing Program as a high school student through the Allied Health. Since I got the opportunity to obtain these college credits and complete the CNA program while in high school, I took the fullest advantage.
I am genuinely honored to be one of the few students considered for acceptance to the State College Area High School chapter of the National Honor Society. I feel that my hard work and dedication in academics is beginning to show through. Throughout my life, I have shown drive and devotion for everything in which I have been involved, ranging from athletics to academics. My mentality has always been focused on helping others. For this reason, I aspire to become an orthopedic surgeon so that my career will evolve around helping others to get the most out of their lives. My summer will be spent volunteering at Phoenix Rehab for fourteen hours each week as it will allow me to begin providing care to the community. Currently holding an unweighted
As a transfer student, I want to feel California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) such as my home. Being ambassador, it is the best to learn about my school, share my experiences, motivate other students to work towards their goals, look for help if they need, show other students our school's resources, and make others feel special for being part of CSUF.
As a freshman at the University of Maryland, I am pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Cyber Security. I formerly attended the Academy of Health Sciences at Prince George’s Community College, a dual enrollment program in which I graduated with my High school diploma and an Associates of Arts degree in General Studies. Having a unique experience by attending these different school has allowed me to become familiar with technical communication in a multitude of ways, whether it is in the work place or school related. Being vice president of the national honor society, being a barista at Peet’s coffee shop, and with being fluent in multiple languages I have used technical communication to encourage people to “take action” in a multitude of ways. Whether it was influencing people to join the national honors society or trying to get customers to buy a new coffee drink, I have consistently been able to encourage others to “take action” with whatever it may be. Over time I have learned the do’s and don’ts of being a technical communicator, and I now understand what must be done to accomplish a task through technical communication.
I’m truly excited to be a potential participant in Rowan’s STEAM Academy. This program is unique and has a regard for the arts as well as science, technology, engineering and math. It also allows students to experience college life.
I would like to attend Nesbitt Discovery Academy because my strengths as a student are in STEM and unlike other schools Nesbitt Discovery Academy provides more opportunities to explore these topics. I enjoy being involved in math outside of the required math for school. For example, my homeschool school math team won Math Counts this year and took third place last year so I've been to the state Math Counts competition twice. I have had the opportunity to go to WCU Region Math Competition in Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3. This year I placed 8th overall in Math 3 and my Math 3 team came in second, and I will be competing in the state completion for Math 3 in May. I have also taken the AMC 10 three times and have gone to the Furman Mathematics
Moreover, the main goal I want to achieve is for me to learn a lot about my main interest or my future career. My future career is to be a doctor or a surgeon. In both cases, I want to get the basics down. Since this will be my major I want to take a lot of science courses. Also, science relates to a lot of other subjects mainly math, and technology, which both are in the courses. By being accepted into this school this brings me one step closer to accomplishing my dream goal.
1. I have developed an interest in science during my high school career, and love watching new technology being created. I figure that I will most likely either continue on to medical school after I receive my undergraduate degree or try to work to design new technologies that will aid scientific research and study. Therefore, it was really a no-brainer for me to pursue various STEM related courses and subjects. In my opinion, the STEM field contributes to innovation and world progress more than any other fields. Without STEM fields, I most likely wouldn’t even be able to type this paper, or use the internet to submit my college application and scholarships. If the STEM field were to disappear, the world would stagnate. In order to prevent
