The word God itself is not enough to describe the personality of Sachin Tendulkar and his contributions to cricket. He is considered as one of the greatest batsman in the history of cricket.
Largely considered Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar was born on 24 April 1973 at Bombay, India to a middle class family. He as youngest of four children consisting of 2 brothers and a sister. His father was a well-known Marathi novelist and a professor, while his mother worked for a life insurance company. His named little Tendulkar after his favourite music director, Sachin Dev Burman. The pure hearted Sachin never considered his siblings as a child from his first mother.

Tendulkar now considers the 13 coins he won then as some of his most prized possessions. Besides school cricket, he also played for many clubs. Meanwhile, he developed a reputation as a child prodigy and his skills became a common conversation point in local cricket circle. He received many awards in cricket at his initial years.
On 14 nov 1987, Sachin represented Bombay in Ranji Trophy. However, he was not selected for final eleven but often played as a substitute fielder. He narrowly missed playing alongside his idol Sunil Gavaskar. Next year, on a debut match against Gujarat he scored a century, and formed a world record of becoming the first and youngest batsmen to achieve this. His domain of cricket started expanding exponentially. Soon, in 1992, Tendulkar became the first overseas-born player who represented Yorkshire.
