Omar Mohamed Kalmio was granted protection by the U.S. due to leaving his country as a refugee. In 2011 not only did he kill his girlfriend, but also her brother, mother and mother’s boyfriend. Prior to this incident ,Mohamed had been incarcerated for stabbing a person in the face and other areas causing the victim to have a collapsed lung. Even with this history of violent offenses, Kalimo only received a year in jail for this crime. Not to mention, within the same year he also was convicted of theft and only received a minor penalty (Immigrant Mass Murder, Again: Somali Quadruple Murders is sentenced in North Dakota 2011). Unfortunately, at the time of the crime Somalia was considered abandoned-corrupt and was not taking natives back into there country that would be deported. As of today, he will remain in the United States prison serving life..

A very popular debate goes on between people on whether or not capital punishment should exist or not. “A Death in Texas” was wrote by Steve Earle, and the main subject is capital punishment. The death penalty should not be allowed, and should not even exist, because it’s murder itself, people can change, and we don’t have the right to take another human beings life.
Saddam Hussein was the former president of Iraq for over twenty years. Born on April 28, 1937, in Tikrit, Iraq, Saddam Hussein was a secularist who rose through the Baath political party to assume a dictatorial presidency. Under his rule, segments of the populace enjoyed the benefits of oil wealth, while those in opposition faced torture and execution. After military conflicts with U.S.-led armed forces, Hussein was captured in 2003. He was later executed.
Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Determine never to be idle .... It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing." James Trump, a local accountant, lived by this motto. He also died by this motto.
On July 30, 1975 at the age of 62 Jimmy Hoffa vanished from the face of the earth without a trace. Jimmy Hoffa was the leader of the teamsters union, but also he had ties with the mafia. Because of his union leadership many working Americans considered Hoffa their hero, but he also had powerful enemies. The question that stills has everyone baffled today is that did he die and if so who killed him. I think that Hoffa got murdered by a mafia hit man by the name of Frank “The Irishman”Sheeran. Frank is a WW2 veteran that loved to kill after he came back from the war he began to have ties with the mob and became a hitman for them. Frank and Hoffa were best friends for 20 plus years. I know what you're thinking why would somebody kill their friend

Thirteen people were killed and over thirty were injured at Fort Hood in Texas. Imagine sitting at home, hearing about this massacre on the news, when you get a phone call about your loved one's death in a military training center. Filled with fear and questions about the horrible event and how you will move on, flood your mind. For some families, this was the case on November 5, 2009. Who would do such a twisted, horrible thing after being part of the service himself? Nidal Hasan found a reason and planned this event out, and would later even admit to it in court.
Hitler would be some peoples choice to be number one but not mine. Adolf hitler went from being a lance corporal in the German army , to chancellor of Germany in 15 years. The holocaust may have been his subordinates doing, but but he knew about it, which, amazingly , has only been fairly recently proven. Adolf hitler had a major role In initiating the bloodiest conflict ever, which still has a massive bearing on the world to this day. His megalomania had seen large parts of Europe devastated in his lifetime and forced into communism after the war.
Most people won’t remember that day because it never affected them, some people choose not to remember, and others… others are still shaken by the events of that day. What makes that day so memorable? Was it because Charles Manson was on trial for the Helter Skelter murders, or Ronald Reagan beginning his second term as governor of California, and what about me? I was your average eight-year-old toe headed blond southern California boy, (a real charmer) just beginning his day.
A couple years ago, a military man named James Foley was kidnapped by the Islamic State. The kidnappers contacted the family of James Foley asking for the release of muslim prisoners or an unattainable amount of money from the Foley family; more than 120 million dollars. James was treated very badly and, even tortured at times; even after large sums of money were given to the captors. Two months later, James Foley was dead by his captors’ hands. This event caused America’s deeper military involvement in Syria’s civil war. James Foley’s death was a shock to many and is still remembered to this day.
The President that survived the attack was Franklin.D. Roosevelt. He was not even sweared in as the President. The person who attacked Roosevelt was Giuseppe Zangara .President Franklin. D. Tupac Shakur’s death is still one of the biggest mysteries in showbiz, with his killers still unknown 21 years on.
The war on terrorism had one essential consequence for American grand strategy: talk of Great Power conflict disappeared. During the campaign, Bush had criticized the Clinton administration for indulging a rising China and appeasing a corrupt Russia. Early during his presidency, there was confrontation with both countries. When the National Security Strategy was published in September 2002, things sounded different: ‘Today, the international community has the best chance since the rise of the nation-state in the seventeenth century to build a world where Great Powers compete in peace instead of continually prepare for war. Today, the world’s Great Powers find ourselves on the same side—united by common dangers of terrorist violence and chaos’ . Bush considered Great Power interests were rather mutual than competitive, that gave him considerable leeway to exercise American power.
Men ages 13 to 70 were shot and buried in mass graves while women and children were relocated to camps with terrible living conditions. If any area made even a small attempt at resisting, everyone would be killed. Throughout the massacre, Saddam had his cousin, Ali Hassan , in control of the chemical bombings on approximately 40 Kurdish villages. Mustard gas and nerve agents blanketed the areas causing instantaneous effects of asphyxiation, convulsions, blindness, vomiting, and blisters. Long term effects would include cancers, birth defects, and permanent blindness. 5,000 civilians, including women and children, were dead within days of the attacks. It was clear that the Iraqi citizens were ecstatic to remove Hussein from power when in 2003 a huge mass of them toppled over the statue of him in the square, dragged the head around the city, and beat it with shoes, which is considered a severe indication of disrespect in the Arab culture. Robert Kagan and William Kristol, Co-founders of the Project for the New American Century, said, “The mass graves uncovered since the end of the war are alone sufficient justification for it." These brutalities, brought on by the “iron-fist” government, should not be excused or ignored. Ultimately, appeasement does not work, as shown by the events of WWII. Without the intervention of a higher authority, the viciousness and cruelty would have continued, uninhibited in Iraq for an unpredictable amount of time. Although the
