Every city has that one basketball game that everyone goes to. The game that brings the crowd to their feet. The past two year we won the first two games in a dogfight and then destroyed Saginaw High in the district championship. On the week of the game, practices are a vale of tears . Twenty brutal suicides before practice, morning and evening practices. One thing that he knows, is that Saginaw high always out toughing us with fake toughness. So top it off Coach Mcmath, brings back his championship team from 2006 to scrimmage us the whole week before the big game. These are grown man with buffy, barrel-chested, some are slightly built and some are strapping. He believes the long, sweaty and abusive practices is the cause of our success, because we always have the 5 star players but just lack of toughness when it comes to this game. The best part about practices the week of the game is the gear we receive. Coach calls us in his offices one by one, it smells nice and fresh. The cold air hits your face. You take a look around. That’s when you see them! All the random shoes and gear. “It’s the pair of new shoes we’ll be wear for this game and get some socks from the box” he’ll say. Once you approach them, and take a look at them you know it's …show more content…
No class just school activities all day long, pep rally, face painting and posters are been made. Once school is out, all the basketball players rush to the team barbershop and try to get back just before freshman tip off at 4pm. Everyone comes to the game with their icy retro jordans or the most expensive clothing, just to be seen by the entire city. If you been to any previous games, you know getting to the game early is important, because all the good seats would be taken. Once you try to come after freshman tip off , you'll see the last car of 700 on Mackinaw street. As the varsity game get ready to start the gym goes black. Then you hear a rhythm of the drumstick smashing against the drums. Two thousand people are waiting quietly, as the spot light shine towards the lockers room. “AT GUARD STANDING 5 FOOT 10 INCHES TALL, NATE MOOOOORE”!!!!!! The crowd then reacts like they just seen michael

“Are you fired up?!?” the General yelled. The answer, of course, was “Yes sir, fired up, sir!” This was how we started every year of Dixie Basketball Camp as we came together in the Southwest Mississippi Community College (SMCC) auditorium. It is hard to explain what the Dixie Basketball Camp is all about. Experiencing it is really the only way of knowing. Dixie teaches kids every year the value of hard work along with the fundamentals of basketball. The camp has a unique and special enthusiasm, filled with cheering and chants, many of which have continued for many years and have made Dixie one-of-a-kind. The General, Joe Dean Jr., has been running the camp for over twenty years. He inspires five hundred campers every year to work hard and sweat on the basketball court. Over the past eight years, he has served as a role model for me at the camp. The Dixie Basketball Camp has been a significant part of my life since the fourth grade; I could not help but be upset as I drove away from the campus after my eighth and final year at the world famous Dixie Basketball Camp and Country Club, “Hey!” I was going to miss all of the enthusiasm the most.

Thank you so much for this opportunity. Skidmore is one of top schools that I am interested in and I have been wanting to visit it even more since our last meeting. I am truly grateful for this chance to have an immersive experience, so once again thank you for making this possible. In terms of transportation, I think the bus would be the best option for me. I look forward to being on campus.

The main components that make up copper are protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons are positively charged, electrons are negatively charged, and neutrons don’t have a charge. The nucleus is at the center of the atom, and it contains protons and neutrons. Electrons are “stored” in energy levels. Since protons have a +1 charge and neutrons don’t have a charge, the nucleus is positively charged. The two stable copper isotopes that should be describe are 63Cu and 65Cu. The composition of 63Cu is 0.6915 (15); the composition of 65Cu is 0.3085 (15) (“Isotopes of Copper.” Wikipedia). The abundance of 63Cu is 69.17% (2); the abundance of 65Cu is 30.83% (2) (“Copper Isotopes” – Cu Isotopes). The nucleus of any copper atom has 29 protons and electrons.
Swarthmore College is a private tasteful sciences school arranged in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, 11 miles (17.7 km) southwest of Philadelphia.
Apparently writing this short statement is supposed to be as easy as describing why I want to win the lottery. But I really don’t think it is. There is one reason why I want to win the lottery; I want a lot of money. There are hundreds of reasons to attend Swarthmore. I’m a huge fan of the Honors Program. Small, discussion based classes that focus on the sharing of ideas and discourse? Sign me up! Swarthmore is unique in that it can provide that small classroom environment while still being a top liberal arts college. I’m also interested in being a part of the Swarthmore Mock Trial team. My past participation in Mock Trial was amazing and I hope to replicate it many times over. I also really liked the emails that the Swarthmore admissions team

Swarthmore's potential for creating opportunities to make important connections with people and companies caught my attention. The externship program intrigued me when I visited the campus, as well as the tri-college consortium. The cash-free campus and shuttles are wonderful additions that will allow me to explore and create many memories. The proximity to the city also allows for weekend adventures, and trips home via the train stations. I love the small class sizes and close-knit community that the campus nurtures. The campus itself is a work of art. Although I enjoy exploring the city, I always feel more at home surrounded by nature and fresh air. Besides the physical attributes of Swarthmore, the people make the campus irresistible. When
Nothing was going well: the cool breeze caused us to “spray the ball” over the fence, the obnoxious football players frightened me with their persistent cry for help, the tennis balls’ freshness and pristine presence quickly vanished. As I glanced over, I saw a slender body, with speckles of gray bellowing at us, slowly trotting over with a blank expression. I was thinking, “Aw man, he’s gonna come over here and yell at us or tell us the same old “give me 110%” or “stay focused.’” A Northwestern graduate (wise beyond his years) , a basketball and tennis player (athletically gifted) , our coach’s words enchanted us with delight and captivated our attention. With a grin on his pale pink face and a sparkle in his glimmering eyes, he let out an optimistic sigh while saying, “You guys just gotta battle. I don’t care about the score anymore. Just gotta love the battle no matter what

In Seymour, basketball for many people is a way of life. The Games are usually filled with a sea of fans wearing red and white shirts jumping up and down screaming. Also now that Seymour had just won the division 2 state championship 2002 and their 4th straight appearance at Madison. This was only their fourth appearance and eventually made it to 8 straight Kohl center appearances. So many people's problems are not pursuing in their dreams. If people followed in their dreams so many more people would succeed. Seymour followed their dreams by making state 8 straight years in a row. From the years 2003 to 2006 a lot of my surroundings were mostly basketball related. In those first four years my life my obsession quickly began.
This is an interschool women basketball match dated on a Saturday – 30 Jan 2016, starting from 1 pm to 3 pm in Pierri Gym, I was sitting on the four lane on the left hand side of the stadium. It is observed that most of the audience are white Americans (the white), aging 30 or above, which I believe could possibly be the parents from both teams. There are some kids aged 9 or 10 and a baby as well, sitting with their parents; most of the audience are sitting in pairs. To the right end of the stadium sat African American (the black), while two-third of the stadium sat the while. The Dean College team (DC) wore white and red suits with grey strips, whereas the Southern Maine Community College team (SMCC) took a mix of navy blue and white as their representation. Before the contest began, both teams clapped in rhythm to embrace the start of the game along with the song of the chants for America. A
