I believe the trait that has helped me become the person I am today is my determination to always give a perfect effort. This is the source of all the awards, all the accomplishments, and all the praise. It is not what I have achieved, but why I have achieved it. Everyone has the potential to do great things. Their success is determined by whether or not they implement the discipline needed to achieve those goals. Thanks to a wonderful support system, I have been taught how important self-discipline is in life. I know that I can do anything if I only apply myself. This sense of ability gave me the confidence to tackle more complex issues and push my limits. It has instilled within me the want and the need to be challenged in every constructive …show more content…
This way I am capable of giving my best self as a tool to provide aid. Education is an important part of personal growth, as well as service and cultural experience. Saint Louis University embodies all the attributes that would help me secure my future, and become a better person. To be able to grow in mind, body, and spirit is a rare opportunity. Not only would SLU foster my passion for learning, it would expand my horizons and push me to be the best version of myself. Set amidst a vibrant city filled with diversity and culture, SLU offers me the world while still creating the atmosphere and heart of a place you can call home. This aligns with my fierce fondness for adventure and new experiences, while appealing to my more personal and introverted side as well. Most importantly though, Saint Louis University would strengthen me with its community of faith and service. Every perfect effort must be in pursuit of something worthwhile, and at SLU I would always progress with this as the focus. The purpose of an education is not to acquire a degree. It is to use what you have learned in a way that positively impacts the world around
Loyola Marymount University has been on my list of colleges ever since I stepped foot onto the campus in 2009. Five years later and my admiration of the school has still not reduced. Personally, I believe that without education, a person doesn't have the ability to become prosperous; education is the key to success. Considering this, a person also has to love what they’re doing every day or else they will never be happy. The combination of all these factors leads a person to live their life to the fullest with prosperity, wealth and pleasure. All of these key components are evident in LMU, thus the reason why I am so passionate about attending the campus and adopting the lifestyle of a lion. In addition to the beautiful campus that allows one to imagine they are on a resort instead of a school as well as the intimate student to faculty ratio that gives students the direct attention they need, LMU has a fantastic undergraduate business program that excites me and will prepare me for my future as a possible entrepreneur or lawyer.
Framingham State University will prepare me for a productive life, enhance my learning and enhance my current leadership skills, intern this will contribute to my future once I graduate. An opportunity of this caliber would launch my learning and continue to ignite my passion for learning. I feel that all my experiences have lead me to find this school and get the most I can out of my time here if I get admitted.
Lees-McRae is a good fit for me because out of all the colleges I have researched, Lees-McRae feels like home. When I first found the college's website, I instantly knew that Lees-McRae encompasses all the values that I think are crucial. Just from the website alone I found a sense of family and coming from a close-knit family of four, I treasure that above anything else. Also, I fell in love with the idea of community. I feel it is important to cherish and be a part of an open community, which I have noticed Lees-McRae provides for all of its students. If I were to attend Lees-McRae I would be active in the community and feel safe inside the family atmosphere. Not to mention, I would thrive in the athletic aspects of the college, the passion
It costs less. Missouri Souther has a lower tuition cost than the other schools do and I would be able to study in the areas I need to for my chosen career and I would still be able to get the required degrees, so I think that it would be good.
Another reason I am so drawn to St. Scholastica is because it is widely renowned for its academic excellence. I have always placed high value on all things academic, and I know that attending St. Scholastica would allow me to continue to uphold such values. I also know that in addition to a great learning enviroment, St. Scholastica has an amazing community aspect to it, which is important to me since I grew up in a very tight-knit
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
Also, it is known that "Teams and student-athletes from Southeast have a winning tradition, not only at the conference level but also in NCAA championship competition.” (Southeast Missouri). Even though they are known for winning it is not knowing that the competition is pretty competitive and that does not draw me to the school. Louisiana State University meets many of the needs that I want in choosing a college. Even though Southeast Missouri State University has a good athletic program, Louisiana State University is better in athletics because it provides more of an competition in competing in those sports and there is more school spirit in the sports all around.
I want to be a role model to children just like Mr. Rogers was to me. I want to educate children and teenagers An education at Loyola will help me accomplish this by allowing me to study in a diverse atmosphere in which I will be interacting with people of all ages, gender, and ethnicities.
The Polk State College Foundation Scholarship will help me attain my educational and career goals by providing me money to help cover the cost of my tuition and books as I continue the journey to completing my academic and career goals. For my educational goals, I want to attend Polk State College and participate in the FUSE program they offer for students who are interested in a health science career. Joining this program will educate on the human health and many other medical related discussions that affect the human system. I want to learn about the human anatomy and have hands-on experience with different experiments that correlate with the health science program. By participating in the program, I would achieve my associates at Polk
I also like the small class sizes. I have lived in St. Louis my whole life and I am pretty bored of it. I have been to Chicago a couple times and it is a very interesting city and has a lot to offer. I love that the university is right next to Lake Michigan. I have always wanted to live next to the water and now I finally might be able to.
When I go off to college I plan to go to a college that fits me. College is important for anyone’s career, and I want to be successful. That is why the university I attend has to feel right, and inspire me to succeed. Washington University in St. Louis does that for me. WashU makes me challenge myself, and ensures me that it is the perfect place to go. Some of the university’s great qualities include their majors, the location, and the community.
I come from a large and very close family. I am the youngest of eighteen grandchildren and there are now twenty-two great grandchildren. When I was nine years old, my beautiful cousin Avery was born. Avery arrived into this world fourteen weeks prematurely and weighed less than one pound, she was sent to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) immediately after birth and remained there for eight days. On the eighth day Avery passed away, and I was traumatized by her loss.
I intend to use this scholarship to help pay for my tuition and books at the Southern Arizona University of Phoenix- Online. I would like to be considered for this scholarship because I have no financial help from my family. This means that I have to be able to pay for college on my own because of the fact that my father is no longer in my life, and my mom has my other siblings to take care of. My father is no longer in my life because he now lives in Mexico with his other family. I don’t have financial help from him because he has a wife and six other children. My mother would like to be able to help me, but she has two other children she’s taking care of by herself, and she has to prepare for my sister's graduation next year as well as mine this year. I plan to get a job after I graduate to help pay for the expenses of college, but since I am going online the expenses of college are going to be a lot less than if I were to go on campus, this is the main reason I am planning to go online, and to take a lot of the stress of being totally alone off myself because I will only be twenty minutes away from my family instead of an hour or two.

High School wasn’t smooth sailing for me and my GPA wasn’t at its full potential. With senior prom and all my senior activities it felt as if time was slowly but surely running out. High school was some of my best years but I was dying to graduate and attend college and be on my own but in order to do so I had to score really high on the ACT or SAT. I was so nervous while taking the SAT and I didn’t do good as I wanted to, feeling defeated I studied really hard for the ACT. Even though I studied the butterflies when I entered the room where the test was being administered wouldn’t go away but I did feel more confident. I took the test and waited days for my results. I was so excited that I scored a 24. I learned that if you put your mind to something you will succeed every time. I took full responsibility for my future and I planned on having a bright one. I felt as a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. After receiving the good news I applied to a total of four universities and I was accepted by all of them. Even though I applied to different schools my dream college was to attend Louisiana State University. Unfortunately LSU’s nursing program is not like an average nursing program. Sadly their nursing program is not located on LSU’s campus
