My intention is to have 20” x 28” poster. We have a scavenger hunt that will going on from September 8th to October 7th with the Living & Learning students (We’re hoping for ~250 students). We will have prizes like gift cards for the leading team each week, plus cards for the leading teams at the end of the hunt. On Friday the 9th, will be hosting an event called judgment day, where the teams will compete in goofy activities like moving marbles with chopsticks. We will be using an application called Scavify. I believe by following this link would have some good information: https://scavify.com/university-programs-student-engagement And yes, UH-Main did this last year, I called them about it and they said it was very successful activity. Our
The artifact I have chosen to attach to the discussion board was CE230 unit nine project. What I learned based on that assignment was how to develop creative activities for young children from the age of five and seven. After completing the different activities with the students in this project we had to show what were the student’s objective and what leaning experience where you trying to achieve and was it accomplished with this activity. Example after completing the activity you would indicated if the student was able to follow directions. You would observe if the child was able to correctly solve the problems and it the students showed interest in the game. I recalled when I was in grade school we played Math Bingo it was fun and educational.
Waycross Middle School offers many unique activities, sports, and clubs. For example, there is one club that I’m in that’s called crazy science. In this club, we perform different science experiments that are really amazing and are actually pretty “crazy”. One time, we did an experiment where we got to see what happened when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Another time, we did an experiment called elephant toothpaste. What we did was that you fill a skinny bottle or tube with hydrogen peroxide and a little bit of food coloring. Then you pour a special substance in to get a really colorful foam burst out of the tube like a volcano! It was a really fun experience! In conclusion, I think this is a fun club that gets kids to have a chance to
As seniors, hosting the majorette sleepover was a great experience. We all got together and planned the day with numerous activities so that the girls constantly had fun. At the party, we broke up into two teams and had a water balloon fight with food coloring in the balloons. The water balloon fight was great even though it was super annoying filling the balloons with food coloring. Afterwards we went and set up for a glow in the dark scavenger hunt in the stadium at night. This really made our sleepover the best out of all the sleepovers we have ever had. We split off into our marching families with assigned colors and hid ten things of each color on the field. To make the game really unique, we broke about fifty glow sticks and threw them
Finally, I will engage the group in creative activity by doing Easter word Hunt search worksheet. Again, I will distribute the worksheets along with a pen to each member. I will explain and demonstrate the first word in the Easter word hunt search worksheet and allow the group to complete the rest for 20
On Friday September 25 is an all student in school Spirit Day.This day will include a time capsule ceremony, BBQ lunch for the whole school and then inter-division games, followed by 3:30 Varsity girls soccer and 4:00 Varsity boys soccer both against Waldorf.
Students who are part of the Neil Armstrong Program celebrate an annual prom. A New Games Day is held for students who did not choose to participate in Special Olympics events during the year. Students compete in bucket relay, a mock 50-meter run, and a long jump. Various games such as yard croquet, jenga, bocce ball are included. A Family Game Night where students, parents, and teachers play board games together while enjoying social interaction and snacks. A big event of the school year is the Special Olympics. Students will compete in jumping, running, and throwing events along with other Special Olympians from the
Ocean County College can generate actions to possible promote campus life. Each semester, the college could hold a “Student Appreciation Day” offering a free coffee day with a visit to the cafeteria to raise student awareness. A concert can be planned to promote promote student life and socialization. A spirit week can be held to also promote student life, having students dress up or in a certain color representing something about the college. Clubs, the Grunin Center piano practice rooms, and the Health & Wellness center can be further promoted through more flyers spread around campus. The creation of attention-grabbing signs for the Grunin Building piano practice rooms on the Grunin Building and in front of the Health & Wellness Center
From my consideration the most useful or applicable to me in completing the scavenger hunt assignment’s two concepts were link people to needed services and competent workforce. Link people to needed services is very essential because it is the foundation of the Public Health. It is the place where start to contribute all the privileges of living longer and healthier by obtains access of health services; community health centers; clinics; effective care for socially disadvantaged to people and their communities, which will help maintain health, wellness, socioeconomic, race, gender, and cooperation in societies. For example, if the country or community don’t provide the Link people to needed services then in that country or community will have
The first person to fill in all of their squares without repeating a name wins. Tell students to raise their paper and call out if they think they have won. 7. Give students time to complete their scavenger hunt. Walk around the classroom while students are engaged to make sure everyone is playing fairly and nobody is running. Call time when a student has announced they have finished and have students quietly freeze where they are standing while you check the possible winning sheet. If the student is mistaken, have the class resume the activity. If not, ask students to return to their seats. 8. Discuss the scavenger hunt with students. Who learned something new about their classmates? What did they learn? Why was it important to use good listening skills during the scavenger hunt? Why was it important to use good speaking skills? 9. If time allows, students can practice their reading and listening skills online with interactive stories at this Web site http://www.alfy.com/Storyville 10. 11. Evaluation: 12.
Since Diversity Day will be held on a Saturday we want kids to enjoy themselves and want to come back next year because it will be an annual event. The games will be team building in order to get the students to interact and problem solve with each other and they will be selected into a diverse team. Prizes will go to the winners and this will give the students and extra incentive to take the exercise seriously. If the kids are moving and having fun during Diversity Day than they are more likely to learn the information that is being
The Administration staff at Providence Hall is small and works with the Faculty staff so that the school is provided with the proper resources. Because Providence Hall is a small private educational institution it is considered to have a Clan Culture Group. In the Clan Culture Group at Providence Hall, there is a team of employees that have a strong relationship and that team works together to provide all with coaching, developmental learning for students and staff, getting feedback for everyone, both colleagues and the community. The group provides support for building good community relationships through school social events. (Organizational Culture, 2009). The past events have included doing odd jobs in the community, where students and staff washed windows, cleaned houses, and did yard work for the elderly in the community. The school also had events such as, “Murder Mystery Dinner & Dance.” This event was like the game “Clue”, and each guest was to come dressed in era clothing of the 1940’s. The guest’s were waited on and served dinner by the students and afterwards participated in the game
I am the Director of Service for Gannon’s Residence Hall Association (RHA). Summer Young gave me your contact information. The Gannon Residence Hall Association is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 25th. We are looking forward to the MLK Center to participating in our event! Can you have everyone from the MLK Center RSVP by Monday, March 19th, so I can have an estimate of who is coming?
Since there will be people from many backgrounds with lots of different talents, I think it's important to encourage them and give them the chance to shine. A good time for this will probably be a weekend at the end of February, in the middle of the spring term, when students are not pressured by exams, but are tired and need some excitement. The most suitable place would be the Social Space, because I expect at least 60 students to attend. The event should be announced before the winter break, so people who want to take part will have enough time to practice. Also, it should be announced the same way as the movie marathon(with regular reminders), and Hall Seniors should hold a brief Q&A session on their floor. What would also be great is to update the hall's site with upcoming events(which is easy for me to do, being a computing
Also I am wondering if school would be willing to help us covering the cost of
We provide music with a DJ. There are fuse ball and corn hole. It is a fun and safe place for students to go. Specifically, I assisted in creating the decorations for the event. It takes a lot of people and a lot of decorations to transform a school to make it look like a specific thing.
