After interviewing with them, I redesign the UNT bookstore home page and the “Gifts for the Grad” page. I add the quick link menu on both home pages. The “Quick Link” menu located in the left side of the home pages and includes new arrivals, deals, collections, FAQs, and contact us links. Visitors need to go trough different steps and pages to find the information they want, so quick link can help visitors find what they want immediately by clicking the side bar. Also, I add the “GIVE FEEDBACK NOW” on the left side in the both home page. This link gives visitors a place to provide their recommendations. When users meet some problems or find out the content in that page is unnecessary, they can feedback these opinions immediately by clicking the “GIVE FEEDBACK NOW” tab. Both of the functions are located in the easy to find location and follow the page when scrolling, so visitors can find them quickly. I eliminate some of the promotional content from the home page above and below. I just keep several image and content that I think is useful to users. When visitors go to a website home page, the first thing can attract their attentions is the promotional information, so I put the discount content in the middle of the page. The first imagery customers see is important for getability. Too much information may increase visitors leave the website after viewing only one page. The higher the bounce rate, the poor performance they website have. Moreover, I add he slid view of the

The company that I chose to do my presentation on is Maurices Store. I worked in retail as a manager for 12 years at the former County Seat and one of my assistants is still working retail as a manager at Maurices here in Dubuque. I was interested in choosing retail sales because it is where I started and I wanted to see how it has changed over the years.

Unquestionably, Joyce Lain Kennedy is a subject matter expert in the resume writing industry. Throughout her book titled “Resumes for Dummies”, she repeatedly demonstrated comprehensive industry-knowledge with respect to resume writing. Additionally, she addressed many contemporary issues faced by both job seekers and resume writers alike. These matters are dramatically disrupting the environment of the profession. Nonetheless, there were two distinctive similarities found in her book that unequivocally comply with the guidelines of the National Resume Writers’ Association (N.R.W.A).
Something that Mr. Vavoulis and his team at VWM have going for them that makes them more competitive and helps them lead their industry according to Mr. Vavoulis is the way they handle the work they’re requested to complete. They’re faster at processing their analyses and have more experience testifying in trials and working in depositions. Mr. Vavoulis has testified in “Well over 1000 trials and well over 2000 depositions”. The quality of their service stems from the experience members of VWM team posses in forensic economics and their ability to accurately and quickly estimate data sets and finances and report back to attorneys. He and his firm are reported by other attorneys (according to Mr. V) to give a more in depth response to the material at question and can deliver that information more eloquently and precisely to a jury. For this reason the service is hard to duplicate, the reason his service is better is because they have a very experienced team who are innately good at being expert witnesses and addressing a jury comes with practice. In theory you can relate this service to being a great attorney. A person can graduate top of their class at Harvard law but if you’re inexperienced or don’t have an affinity for addressing people then they’re not going to make for a good lawyer.
The homepage has a large scrolling gallery with stock pictures, and what seems like a clickable link to additional information. However, the pictures and text are just that - scrolling picture with text on them. They should link the user to the web page relevant to the text on the graphic Once the user leaves the homepage there are no longer any graphics. This brings down the appeal of the website significantly.
Montclaire Elementary School (MES) is a Title I neighborhood school located at 5801 Farmbrook Dr., Charlotte, North Carolina. The building was built in 1957-1958 and sits on a large, beautiful campus with a new playground and sports field that are maintained by the parks and recreation association. Montclaire is part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), an urban district of over 145,000 kindergarten through twelfth grade students attending in the 164 schools. For this evidence I analyzed the organizational structures, management routines, budget operations at MES, both internally and externally. Information from the NC Report Card, the TNTP Instructional Culture Insight survey, interviews/surveys I conducted, and current processes that already exist at MES, were reviewed and analyzed in order to provide an accurate analysis of this school.
Since I only met with Jim and his wife the one time to complete an intake assessment, I was nervous about whether I could utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Before the session, I reflected upon SFBT precepts and the fact that SFBT is meant to be a brief therapy, which can encompass one session. Reviewing Kim (2014), I found four components which can be featured during a first interview: the miracle question, scaling questions, taking a break, and compliments (pg. 2). I intentionally imagined how I could implement SFBT into an intake assessment so that I could listen during my interview, instead of trying to remember what SFBT concepts to employ. By reviewing course information and thinking about how to apply SFBT in my practice, I hoped to minimize my own fears and concerns about SFBT and provide myself confidence for assisting my client in finding their own goal.
My service-learning practicum takes place in the community setting at Connaught Elementary School in St. Catharines. At Connaught, I am doing a one-on-one mentorship with a grade eight student to help her with her transition into high school. I am at the school twice a week for a half hour; however this position requires a lot of pre planning outside of the school, in order to effectively help her with her transition. My tasks include preparing different activities for each time I go into placement. Our first few weeks consisted of preparing a resume for my student so that in 2-3 years when it comes time that she starts applying to part-time jobs she has a resume already put together, which she can add things and take things away from. Along with resume preparation, we have done a job interview role-play where I am the interviewer and she is the interviewee. In this time, we have had fun days where she would make popcorn, with two other students, and sell it to other classmates. My student has had a lot of problems with a bully, and she has an issue of being assertive to other people- meaning she finds it difficult to state her opinions and she easily gives in to other people. With that, I brought two jars from home and I turned them into “problem” and “solution” jars where we filled each up with a problem and a few solutions to that
