INTRODUCTION
I have decided to take up my internship in IT audit to leverage my knowledge that I gained from my Master’s program and my three years of experience in IT industry.
I would like to establish the various factors that have led me to choose my career as an IT audit and the courses that helped me to gain knowledge. I did my bachelors in Information Science & Technology, which is a core technical IT program. I have developed strong skills in various programming languages, database concepts and software development life cycle. Then, I worked with a large consulting firm for almost 3 years. I have started as a test analyst where I used to write the test procedures and perform the testing the IT applications. Then with my strong interest towards business, I have moved into the Project Management Office (PMO) where I handled financial and operational aspects of IT projects. This role has fueled my interest towards business. During this role, I got an opportunity to participate in the internal audits as an auditee. I represented my projects for audits. I used to prepare the evidence items upon the audit team requests and participated in the walk through. This helped me to gain knowledge about the audits. I got an opportunity to meet people
I have chosen to pursue a career in computer science, because it has been a heavy influence on me throughout my life. All my life I have been surrounded by technology, almost more than half of my family has a career in the IT field, which is what sparked my interest. My earliest memory of when I first became interested was when I was about 6 and my mother bought me a phonics dog, and I was more interested in how it worked rather than what it did. I then saw the screw bolts and knew if I used a screwdriver I could see the inside of the toy so I opened it, and from then on I knew I was interested in technology. In middle school was when I first took my actual dive into the IT world and I learned there are different computer languages, and about different devices used in the tech world. Also I

Career Tech will provide me with an environment of friends that are dedicated to the same level of education I am. Career tech meets my family’s standards. It provides a way for me to get a great academic foundation and continue playing for Wasilla Warriors basketball team. I believe Career Tech will boost me into my future and my road to college.

I started out by reading yahoo financial to find any info that would help me out to find out if it would be a good investment at this time. The first thing that stood out was that it had a beta of 1.44362 as of the time this was written. That tells me that this is a stable stock almost near the Market. With a Market capital 585.95 billion shows that they have built a strong stock that most investors would easily consider. They have shown that prior to 2001 they have really made a stable comeback. They really have shown strong earnings to go with lots of institutional investing. They
As a computer scientist you earn a good amount of money annually if you are in a professional state you earn $59.95 an hour and by the end of the year you make about $124,900 per year. Another professional career that involves computers is being a computer engineer ; of course depending on what profession of a computer engineer you are you will get paid a little less or a bit more for example a professional hardware engineer gets paid $55.73 an hour and earn about $130,980 a year. A computer analyst earns about $47.93 per hour and around $122,090 per year. A network security specialist earn about $43.85 and hour and $135,600 a year. A network administrator as mentioned before earns really good perfessionaslly around $33.25 per hour and $115,180
Technical certifications are generally a proctored exam in a specific area of the IT industry that are meant to show that you understand the subject matter. So why take a certification test? The tests to certify can be costly and this is usually after taking a class or online training, so why would an IT professional or student want to take a certification test? There are many reasons and most of them are to get a good job. As an IT professional a person may want to move up the ladder and get a better position or switch career paths and get into another area. As a student technical certifications are useful on a resume because you may not have the work experience an employer is looking for. With the technical certifications you can show a potential employer that you know and understand the subject matter. It shows that you have a degree of credibility and skill in the focus area of the certification. A certification may also give you an edge on the competition. If you apply for a job that doesn’t require a certification you may get the job over another applicant that does not have it. The last reason for getting a technical certificate is for personal development. You may want to learn a new skill or brush up something you haven’t done for a while.
At the beginning of my computer information course I was presented with challenge of writing a research paper. We were given several topics to choose from and I chose the topic of careers in information technology. The focus will be on the computer support specialist, the database administrator, the network and computer systems administrator, the computer, office machine and automated teller technician, the programmer, the software engineer, the cryptographer, the computer trainer, and the desktop publisher. I will explore what each profession is, the duties, the work environment,

It is universally agreeable that with the advent of Computer technology, every ambitious and enthusiastic individual is really obsessed with the idea of doing computer science at graduate level because it seems to have created a zeal and enthusiasm in the hearts of youth, particularly those who aspire to be marked as high achievers. I, for one, seem to have been enchanted by these computer applications as they have made the world smaller, speaking in terms of globalization. I have no hesitation to add that core computerization alone is the suitable answer to all the areas unexploited and to the areas waiting for development. It has always been a fascination for me about how computers work, how these applications are designed and what can be the newer ways to explore the world of computers to make our world better. This interest became a passion for me when I was exposed to computer science basics, during my middle school. Pursuing computer science engineering at undergraduate level, further propelled my passion for computer science along with providing me a deeper insight and in-depth understanding of the subject. After completing my under graduation in Computer Science, I am willing to expedite my research interest and a masters degree seemed the most appropriate choice for realizing my aspirations.
Becoming a computer programmer would be great because there are many options in this career by having the ability to produce an operating system, or a game for the world. Computer programmers have many opportunities in life to find a job they would love. Programmers can work independently, or in a big company. Programmers have and are creating the future for computers.
This research paper focuses on how IT audits are done and how they can help in assisting an organization in its regulatory compliance effort by identifying information security weaknesses prior to an external audit. The key players and their roles are defined, as well as organizational, results-based, point-in-time systems and extended-period audits. This leads to a natural question. In this new world of connected GRC, what is the role of internal audit compared to compliance? Where do these roles remain separate and where do they share responsibilities? How can these professionals work together to drive business value?
3 pillars of effective internal audit services- independence and objectivitiy, proficiency, and due professional care.
