The beginning of quality assurance dates back to World War ll, when ammunition had to be tested for performance. The current purpose of quality assurance is to correct potential errors before a product goes public. Without quality assurance, organizations run the risk of releasing products that do not meet quality standards, losing money, wasting time, and not making full use of the possibilities of an idea. When working on the quality of a product, it must be a team effort, with everyone within the company committed to up keeping the standards of quality. They both stand to gain something as a direct result of this product passing the quality standards testing. In addition to the primary stakeholders, there are some key stakeholders. Included in this group is Lauren, the manager, and the general manager. They do not stand to gain anything personally, although their actions can have an effect on the production process of the device. If Lauren were to decide not to push the product through, her argument could be supported by using the Rights Approach. According to blah,blah,blah, each of us has a worth or a dignity that must be respected .This dignity makes it wrong for others to abuse us or use us against our will. Furthermore, its states that eighteenth century philosopher, Immanuel Kant, expressed that “humanity must always be treated as an end, not merely as a means. To treat a person as a mere means is to use a person to advance one 's own interest. But to treat a person as an end is to respect that person 's dignity by allowing each the freedom to choose for himself or herself.” By forcing Lauren to push the product through they are using her to complete the production of the device under fraudulent circumstances. Her managers are not considering her own standards of beliefs concerning what is and what is not acceptable for her to do. Lauren has a right to her own system of moral beliefs and therefore
