Introduction The career I will be focusing on is Registered Nurse (RN). Registered nurses(RNs) work in partnership with physicians and members of other health care associates. They develop and manage nursing care plans, train patients and their families in proper care, and help people to improve their health. They have to be able to handle the stress since they have direct relationships with people’s health problems. Registered nurses offer direct patient care and direct complex nursing care systems. Most registered nurses work in health care services, while home health and public health nurses travel to their patient’s homes, schools and community centers. Veterans could not go any surgical treatment before they attended the 8-week Weight Control Program. She was keeping records, administer medication, assisting other healthcare providers. She sees herself as a computer geek because she had to stay up to date with the new technology and tools to provide the best care to patients and their families and health providers. She was also monitoring patients and educate them. She was preparing weekly programs and flyers to educate these overweight or obese veterans. She was helping veterans about eating healthy and increasing their physical activity. She was coordinating speakers such as dietitians, health care providers to help overweight veterans.
