When Mexico captured San Antonia on September 11, 1842 a lot of volunteers join Texas’s army. They would all go into different companies under leaders like Mathew Caldwell and Nicholas Dawson. They coordinated their attacks by each company going after a specific city that would lead to San Antonio. The communication between the companies was by Texas’s government ordering them where to go and what to attack. For example 200 troops led by Mathew Caldwell traveled to Cibolo Creek. Cibolo Creek was six miles away from San Antonio.

However no money was put into the services side of the program, it was just basically an act to incarcerate the homeless and remove them from the street. Add the original six millions dollars on to the average cost of an incarcerated person and the taxpayers of California are funding a costly program that is not fixing the problem whatsoever.

They expect salmon populations to rise, or at least be stable, positive effects on the recreation and the economical reign to expand.

Gentrification is an existential threat in the Bay Area due to urban renewal, spatial capital, and inequity. This threat can best be described as the process of residential or commercial use of an urban area shifting towards higher economic classes (Center, 199). The process of gentrification has caused many native residents to be displaced from their homes, as well as being forced to move further out of the area or become homeless. Neighborhoods that were once oasis’ for the working class are shifting and becoming too expensive for the people who live there. Food and job insecurity are two forms of inequity that contribute to gentrification practices. These three factors are key in the gentrification that is threatening Bay Area residents.
