Sarah Painter I think your question is how can we reach everyone because the government can't/won't/doesn't, I believe that the perfect systems involves the citizen care more for their neighbor and their friend then having the latest iphone. I think if all of us willingly gave back to the community then we can reach each one. I'm reminded of a poem/story where a a guy is tossing sand dollars back in the ocean to give them another chance at life. And a guy asks you can't reach them all before hey die and he said I can make a difference in that one's life as he tosses another back in the ocean. We can make a difference with focusing on the one we can help. I'm also reminded of a proverb, that says give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a …show more content…
Its not his job to be super man. His job and the governments job isn't to feed everyone or to provide their housing, or education. But I see how they are invested in us because we support them. So the more healthy people there are to work and pay taxes the better. So the government has expanded to cover everything, because its all intertwined. In my opinion, the best presidents have been the ones to inspire the country to work hard do a little better and to be more Christlike. He can pass all the laws and regulation he wants but unenforceable/unsustainable laws and regulations are worse than not having them at all. We need all these systems to have checks and balances so they work as intended. From what parts of the government I've seen many of the checks and balances are corrupted. If I were the President, I would restore the values of the constitution, make sure every system has checks and balances and simplify the governments control. I would put incentives for those who need help doing the right thing, and rewards for those who are giving back to the
How would you change the Tax code? Balance the Budget? Pay down the US debt?
There have been forty-four U.S. Presidents over the past two hundred and twenty four years. Some were very successful. Of those few historians, Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest presidents that ever live. He is responsible for preserving the union, freeing the slaves, and enacting various new policies. Lincoln was a president that never gave up and put his people first. He was strong, confident and believes in his principles. Some of the presidents were least successful. Of those few historians, Herbert Hoover wasn’t very successful while he was in office. He was considered to be a terrible president because an awful thing occurred on his watch. Which was the Great Depression.
Throughout the history of the United States, the country has seen several different presidents of varying degrees of success. Some have been declared the greatest in history, while others are despised for being incapable of making the best decisions for the country. Presidents have been hailed for moving America forward during a time of turmoil and others have been accused of seeking personal gain.
In all of history there have been a lot of presidents. Each did something different in their four to eight year term, some were good to this beloved country and some were just god right awful. but I always asked myself "Which President was the best?" or "Which did better for this country?". And as the years went by I have figured out that Abraham Lincoln was the best president that lived because he handled a civil war that could have torn this country in half and issued the Emancipation Proclamation to end all slavery.
The United States has had 43 Presidents, each president has left behind a legacy. Some were more notable than others. I believe the best president we have had is Abraham Lincoln. There are several reasons why I can believe Abraham Lincoln is the best president the U.S. has had out of the 43.
I think the best president the united sates had was John F Kennedy. I believe this because lots of great things happened during his presidency. Such as "The Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, the establishment of the Peace Corps, developments in the Space Race..." Those are just a few reasons on why i think he is the best president the united states have had. He also served in the military as a commander during world war 2.
Sarah slugged through the early morning work and realized-too soon- that she needed to make a trip to the house. She made her way, clasping her arms around her for warmth in the cold November morning. Painted Girl’s borrowed sweater did not help dissipate the cold air, and neither did the lingering whiskey in her system. A light shone in the window illuminating Grandfather and Dingle, who sat at the table together eating pie. She watched as Dingle grabbed a juicy strawberry from Grandfather’s pie and nibbled at it greedily. Grandfather must have finished his hunt early, Sarah realized. She had hoped to avoid Grandfather today but nature called. There was no choice, either the woods or the house. Sarah did an about turn and went for the
My presidential run for office would be based off being truthful. I would tell the United States how the government has been taking money from them and spending it irresponsibly. I want to fix the United States because they fail to use money effectually. There needs to be someone that steps in and fixes the problem. When the people of the U.S. votes me into office that will be my task.
“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for a day. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime,”
For decades there have been many presidents, only few are remembered for doing remarkable things throughout history. The president that I think is the strongest president is Abraham Lincoln because of his role during the Civil War which brought us to peace.
The best US president was easily Abraham Lincoln. He accomplished a lot of things as president such as putting an end to slavery as well as he had plenty of amazing speeches that had some of the best quotes and these together made the people love him.
I believe that Abraham Lincoln is the best United States President because once he won the election of 1860, he caused some chaos in the southern states. He became unpopular to some but he stayed focused and determined. Lincoln, while in office wanted to change the world by trying to give slaves: civil rights, fair
The best United States president is Abraham Lincoln. A survey from 2014 by America Political Science Association, voted Abraham Lincoln as the best U.S. president. (Washington Post, 1) Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, took care of the civil war, and was a civil rights activist. I think he is the best president we have had because of these reasons.
J. Allen St. John is best known for his portrayals of Tarzan in Edgar Rice Burroughs' series of books about the man raised by apes. He created vivid, muscular images for action-oriented stories, spanning from Tarzan to Alice in Wonderland. He also illustrated popular magazines like Women's Day. St. John's greatest asset as an artist was his ability to convey character with a few, vivid brushstrokes. St. John's pictures are idealized in that his heroes and heroines have few physical flaws, but are realistic in the sense that they tell a story. Although artistic, the primary impetus behind his commercial creations was story-telling, rather than self-realization. He seldom used caricature, and his works are always recognizably human, seldom humorous or grotesque.
"A picture can paint a thousand words." I found the one picture in my mind that does paint a thousand words and more. It was a couple of weeks ago when I saw this picture in the writing center; the writing center is part of State College. The beautiful colors caught my eye. I was so enchanted by the painting, I lost the group I was with. When I heard about the observation essay, where we have to write about a person or thing in the city that catches your eye. I knew right away that I wanted to write about the painting. I don’t know why, but I felt that the painting was describing the way I felt at that moment.
