Key West is many people's paradise. It has dazzling waters, beautiful beaches, and a wonderful climate. This tiny island is located off the southernmost part of Florida is the only true tropical island in the United States. Thousands of people from all over the world come to Key West every year for the relaxing lifestyle and rich culture. As well as being rich in culture it is rich in history too. Key West has also been the home to many great authors and artists and is known for having a very diverse population.

Long before the Florida Turnpike and the Interstate Highway System ramped up to full speed and swampland in Central Florida was paved over, Florida tourist venues and roadside attractions were an eclectic mix of fun, imagination, intrigue and amazement for everyone. From reptile farms, tropical gardens and aquatic springs to dolphin shows, old west towns and museums of the unique and strange, tourists visiting Florida were able to catch, either by design or on a whim, these venues, as they rolled down US highways 1,19, 41, 301 and all the off-the-beaten-path back roads. But as time marched on, so did the tourist, as they stayed on the interstate and headed for Orlando, to see what all the hub-bub was about in the early 1970s. The venues and attractions may be long gone, but they are not forgotten, as memories of the wonderful tourist and roadside attractions that were a piece of Florida history, are recalled.

Osceola was a influential leader of the Seminole in Florida. He was born in 1804. The date is unknown. He died on the thirtieth of January 1838. He was around 34 when he passed.  In the rest of Osceola's life, he would have, seven different names, five children, and two wives.

Manatee County was established in 1855. It used to be bigger than what it is now. Manatee Board of County Commissioners (2010) states Manatee County used to include Hardee, Desoto, Highlands, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Glades Counties. This made plenty of land to grow tomatoes. Which influenced many farms of Manatee County and companies to grow tomatoes. These farms include McLeod Family Farm, FFA, and Whisenant tomato farm. Also, some companies are Harllee packing and Pacific Tomato Growers.

Celebrating its 16th anniversary, this family friendly event is scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 6pm-9pm from May 16th through September 12th, 2018 and is located at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier on St. Augustine Beach. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the words seafood, desserts, and tropical fruit wines? Key West, Florida is it? Well the area around the Curry Mansion Museum is a wonderful locality to stay close to the heart of Key West and indulge in the best experiences this city has to offer. The Duval Street, Mallory Square, Southern Point, Smathers Beach, Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory are a stone's throw away from the Curry Mansion Museum. Apart from museums, galleries, and historical buildings, the city is famous for its 18th-century architectural mansions, beachside resorts, and newly constructed lavish hotels.

Some of the other museums I have been to have included the South Florida Museum in downtown Bradenton, Florida and the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa right across the street from USF. These are very different from the Ringling because they focus on different types of things. The South Florida Museum is a natural history museum that hosts displays for the public that deals with Florida’s past human civilizations and animal life. It has its own manatee aquarium and planetarium and is very interactive for children. MOSI is more of a science, health, technology, robotics centered museum and works to combine fun with education. It also has its own space planetarium and an IMAX dome that plays different movies and has many things for kids to enjoy themselves while they learn about science. As you can notice these two museums are not at all like the Ringling. Therefore, the Ringling is the only museum of art that has cultivated my understanding, interpretation, and appreciation for European art and the decorative elements that it displays in its galleries. When you are there you truly feel as though the world’s treasures are there before you and you are standing in a palace. Sarasota, Florida is home to the wonders of the Gulf Coast and the cool, crisp daily breezes, sandy beaches and desirable lifestyles. Perfectly located in the center of Sarasota lies the neighborhood community of Forest Lakes. The community features over 700 single-story ranch homes with spacious front and back yards and finely manicured landscaping. Many of the homes offer residents majestic mountain views. The majority of the homes were built in the 1960s, but the community beautifully maintained or updated the homes over the years.

In their life, at one point or another, people deny to themselves and others what they really feel and what really happened. Some people go on living their entire lives denying their true emotions. In Toni Morrison’s novel Sula, characters constantly denied their feelings and their actions. Sula Peace, her best friend Nel Wright, and Nel’s mother do not listen to their feelings and hide from their true emotions.

Florida has a variety of amazing cities and Towns. Some of which, fly under the radar and are not very well known. The city of Sebring is a perfect example of one for great reasons. It is unknown to many, but has many characteristics that one would yearn for. These include an amazing school system and countless activities for everyone to do.

Its fun, family atmosphere is what brings the millions of visitors to the parks every year (Law). The people who visit every year keep the park in business, and they make great memories that they’ll forget when they visited the wonderful and magical place (Law). There are other fun theme parks for Florida’s visitors to enjoy such as Universal Studios (Law). Universal Studios is based off of multiple movies and T.V. shows such as Harry Potter (Law). The rides at the park are also based off of movies created by the company. In my opinion Harry Potter World is one of their main attractions right now. Finally Everglades National Park, which is located at the southern tip of the Florida Peninsula. It is filled with mostly swamp and marshy environments which are perfect for reptiles which flourish all over the southern parts of the Florida Everglades (Law). The everglades is 1.5 million acres of useful land and serves as a home to many deer, turtles, panthers, and reptiles

We have now begun on our journey to South Carolina. I can’t wait to arrive, though I am worried about the travel there. When we first set out, father spoke with James, Elizabeth, and I. He finally thought it was time to tell us about Lexington and Concord, I don’t think he knows I know so much about it already. Though he told us some things I was not aware of. He said that, even though the colonists lost so many men they still considered the battle a victory. This confused and surprised me, they thought this because they took a stand and upset King George the third.  And turns out that these two battles had started a revolutionary war! So the colonist are currently fighting for there freedom from the British. I hope the colonists win this war,
