hope you are enjoying the rest of your summer. I have attached our presentation for SAV conference. Please review my draft presentation and kindly make suggestions and comments. And let's talk after you reviewed it. You have put such a great presentation that it was easier for me to fill in my part. I feel really good presenting with you; such a seasoned presenter, and hopefully, learn from you in this
Thank you so much for the invitation to interview at WVSOM and the opportunity to speak with you during the panel session. After leaving the interview, I felt very at home and welcomed to the campus. Additionally, knowing the faculty goes above and beyond to help the students is so unique and was portrayed in numerous instances today.
I am convinced that the author has done a superb job in the presentation of his thesis
I have been in AVID for 4 years now, currently in my fourth year, I first found out about AVID from my older brother and cousins. My first year in AVID was in seventh grade, they mostly helped us organize our binders to keep our school work from getting misplaced and helped us organize our notes Cornell notes style. When started AVID in high school it prepared me a lot more for college. Since freshman year AVID has helped me make sure I take all the necessary classes I need for college, like the A-G requirements. AVID makes sure we are involved with school clubs and/or sports to helping sign up for the ACT and SAT. Because of AVID I have learned to be more organized not only in school but also in my daily life. I have learned to keep a daily
In When We Fight, We Win by Greg Jobin-Leeds it says that “comparison can block compassion both for others and for ourselves.” I agree with such statement; I think that listening is a skill you learn throughout time. One can pretend to listen without really getting anything out of the conversation that one is having with that other person. In the Compassionate Listening workshop, I got to do it with Rachel Kurland and I sit and listened to her talking about the moment her friend treason her. I tried to understand her plight, why would she not cut that friendship off, I understood she loved her friend, however, I could not resist bringing my biases to our conversation. I asked myself, why is Rachel, such a good, loving, and smart person,
I became part of the AVID program in eighth grade, I had no clue what the program was about; most of the time we worked on subjects that we needed help on, learned how to be organized, and practiced public speaking by having small socratic seminars. In a way, the tactics that my eighth grade AVID teacher taught me helped me become successful for my college preparation it helped improve my grades in the classes that I was struggling in and pushed me to take challenging courses. In my sophomore, junior, and senior year of high school, I spent my time reviewing different schools around the state and out-of-the state browsing through the financial aid assistance, majors and minors, location, and diversity to choose from. Junior year was the best
Reflection is a major factor in "developing self-awareness" to improve services provided to everyone around me, this is to develop my own understanding in realising the good and bad made previously. Moving forward with a better understanding, as well as rectifying the mistake whilst recognizing the good points, (Horton-Deutsch and Sherwood, 2008).
riting 101 was the second college course I have taken. Before I started taking college classes, I had not attended any type of academic classes sine I graduated high school in 2012. Going into this course, I thought I was not going to benefit very much from it but I was wrong. I had forgotten the majority of what I learned in high school. This writing course not only helped me to refresh my writing skills, but also taught me new things that I know will be helpful as I continue my education. When I realized I had to take this class I thought it would be easy for me. I soon realized that even though I had taken advanced classes in high school, in many ways I was not prepared for college level writing.
Rosetta Stone / Grace Kowalski: I really enjoyed your presentation. It was very straight to the point and well-organized. I have heard about Rosetta Stone before and have considered trying it. However, your presentation
(Gorman, 1998). I feel as a group with different knowledge of the topic we worked well together after we overcame the issue of picking a topic. It felt a little awkward at first in the storming stages, but as every meeting passed it got better and we learned to work as a team. Everyone had a role and we all understood each other’s roles and what we needed to do to produce the final presentation. When the person before me was going though their part I was thinking I can’t do this and was starting to shake. I thought we did well to present out topic to our peers and we received good feedback from the lecturer. I was very pleased that I did a good job presenting even though I was nervous.
As fellow students and buddies Sam and I are fully (and painfully) aware of how difficult and troubled this presentation has been for some of you. We are really sorry for that, and although things might not have work out the expected way. I am sure the people in charge of this module have done its best to correct any immediate problems and to learn from this presentation to make it better for the future.
Diona, I agree with your discussion. I for one believe you made resilient points about creating a strong opening in one’s presentation. By doing so you will keep your audience participating into your presentation rather than lacking the attention you need to continue. Overall, I believe you used prodigious points in this week’s discussion and I enjoyed your post.
High school- the transition between being kids to becoming independent adults. The time where we learn all our values and lessons that set us up for life. Good morning Daramalan staff and executive members. Today I will be presenting a film that I believe should be studied in the Daramalan College year 10 curriculum. This film was originally a classic Jane Austen novel called Emma, which is often studied in a literature classroom. Emma was first published in 1815 . The novel based in 1810s, is about 22 year old Emma Woodhouse, who imagines herself to be naturally-gifted at conjuring love matches, who then exposes herself to a world of conflict, miscommunication, stereotyping, and perception. This classic novel was been retold in a 1990s
This week complete I feel have got me more motivated and have me excited about moving forward in my journey towards my degree. This unit enable me to use two research that will help me tremorous in m writing. Smarthinking gives me great advise on what is wrong or need improving on my paper. Paper Rate is excellent in breaking down my paper and giving me helpful points to increase the quality of the paper. These two research are just two that will help me on this journey.
Ariana, you are cheerful and motivated. You are not afraid to be vulnerable. You were the first one to present PPP and you were not afraid to question your team. You were not afraid to tell your team that you felt like an outsider. I think having this conversation helped you to be a part of that team and continue the good work. Your goal was to engage in conversations and experiences that make you feel vulnerable. I think you have made yourself feel vulnerable. You hold your teammates accountable to their work. I like that you share your progresses with the class. I have noticed that even when other groups are presenting, you ask them questions and give them good feedback.
I submitted my essay to SmartThinking and received a quick response. I had some difficulty composing this essay, so I was definitely open to the suggestions from my tutor. I requested assistance with my thesis and content development. Overall, I recognize my opportunities with this essay. This assignment shed light on some of my weaknesses when it comes to writing. It was hard trying to come up with material to write about. I realize that this type of assignment is going to be quite common, so I’m going to have to step my game up.
