The allurement to Hofstra come in a myriad of ways that make it a top college and a prospective place to apply. It is the largest private college on long island, New York, which is beautifully situated on a 240-acre campus. The thing I love about Hofstra is the dedicated faculty and the way they aid Students and make themselves available to everyone. The student faculty ratio 14:1 shows the personal attention devoted to students. In the past few months, they have reached out to me and helped me in the most cooperative manner. You can almost feel the love resonating from the campus. The wide range of majors and minors that are offered on campus – 140 undergraduate programs – gives the sophomores a variety of programs to choose from while shaping
I would like to get a teaching degree from a university. The two universities that I really love are UNC Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University. When comparing UNC Chapel Hill to Wake Forest I find they are both similar, yet different. Looking at cost of tuition, the number of students, graduation rate, location, admission rate, room and board, financial aid, and flexibility for both universities it will help me decide which college I would most likely attend.
This paper explores the history of Charleston Southern University located in the heart of the Lowcountry in Charleston, South Carolina. With its core Christian values, Charleston Southern achieves an atmosphere that most universities cannot. The history of this school can be pinpointed back to 1964 when it was initially founded (University History and Milestones, 2015). The early years were fairly rough, with low enrollment rates and very few majors being offered (Joslin, Merkling, & Strubel, 2014). However, the university went through countless changes that drove it to be the successful school that it is today. Now, Charleston Southern University is an academically excellent school and also a member of the NCAA Division I Big South Conference. This school started as merely an idea and expanded into a thriving university full of thousands of students.
Last but not least, Texas A&M has a really great cost and financial aid program for students. The In-state tuition and fees were about 10,176 dollars while out-of-state tuition and fees were about 28,768 dollars. If I was an In-state student, this would have been a great opportunity not only because of the students life and academics but also because of the tuition fees. However since I am not an In-state student, the cost is pretty expensive.
The Harris-Stowe State University began in the year 1857 after the St. Louis Public Schools decided to establish a school meant specifically for white students. Initially, the state named the school Harris Teachers College. The naming of the school was in regard to the honor of William Torrey Harris who served as a St. Louis superintendent of schools as well as the Commissioner of Education in the United States.in the year 1920, the university had the opportunity to offer a four-year bachelor’s degree for arts and education courses. Furthermore, the St. Louis school system established an educational system that trained black teachers in 1890, changing the university’s name to Stowe Teachers College. The latest name was on the honor of Harriet Beecher Stowe. In 1954, the Supreme Court under the case of Brown v. Board of Education ruled the integration of Stowe and Harris colleges to form one institution under a merger that saw the creation of Harris Stowe State University (Wetstein, 2010, p.16). Consequently, the university entered the state system of public higher education.
As a senior in high school the time has come when people begin to ask big and sometimes overwhelming questions like, “Where are you going to college?” and “What will be your major?” These questions, of course, lead to college visits and decisions. The two colleges that seem to meet my criteria are The University of Findlay and Ohio Dominican University. Both colleges have positive aspects, such as having the major that I am interested in as well as being close to family. However, The University of Findlay seems to be a better fit than Ohio Dominican because it is closer to home and I am familiar with the campus and I grew up on this campus.

On Thursday evening, February 9, 2017, my mother drove me to Georgia State Perimeter College Clarkston Campus which is located in Clarkston, Georgia for my second mandatory encounter for HUMN 1000. Due to the fact that I was going at night, it was quite a boring drive to Georgia State University Clarkston Campus (GSUPC); however, on the way to GSUPC, I had the anxious feeling of not knowing what to expect from the play I was going to watch, SHE. SHE is a play that was written and devised by Shirlene Holmes and Anastasia Wilson. Eventually, I would reach the Fine Arts building at GSUPC with my anxiety at full throttle. Although my mother drove me to see the play, she did not stay to watch driving away while wishing me good luck. I then

May had come around at long last, and my first two semesters of college at Florida Atlantic University were over. Not only had I survived my freshman year, I also thrived, passing eight of my nine combined courses with A’s and getting an A-minus in the other one. If casinos all over the country made it achievable for people to place bets on the odds of any given student in any given college emerging successful at the end of any given semester, chances are I would’ve been a far greater underdog to come out smelling like roses than “Neon” Leon was to beat the recently departed Muhammad Ali in February 1978. But the same way Leon shocked Ali I defied my own hopes and those of some among the closest friends and family I know. Did I soon find
