School lunches are important because it affects the health, lifestyle, and education of kids. Kids need nutrients in school lunches because then they can become healthy and grow up to be strong and healthy adults. School lunches are also important because by eating healthy, it will give kids energy throughout the rest of their day. Kids will also be able to focus in school because healthy lunches will help kids stay alert and their grades will improve. Healthy school lunches will also give kids energy throughout the day. Kids will have more energy to do more activities and focus in school when kids are getting the nutrients in the food. If kids were eating unhealthy lunches, they would not have a lot of energy throughout the day and would not be able to do a lot of different activities (Izenberg, 2015). When kids feel great after eating a healthy lunch, they tend to give off contagious energy to which others will react to that energy (Benjamin, 2015). Healthy school lunches are important because then kids will do better in school and get better grades. Kids will be able to focus on what they are doing and will be more alert in school. Kids will be able to think more clearly and they will process information better when they eat a healthy school lunch (Wittman, 2012). Kids who eat healthier lunches will receive better test scores. Kids who eat a healthy lunch will work more quickly and improve on their test scores because kids are more focused on what they are working on. Kids will not be able to think as clearly and they will have trouble processing information if they do not eat a healthy school lunch (Clarke, 2011). Kids who are eating more fruits, vegetables, protein, and fewer calories from fat, improved on their literacy tests compared to children with a high-fat diet (Fisk, 2015).
