If your younger siblings get to have free time, why shouldn’t you? Recess is a time of a school day when elementary students get to play outside and have fun. They get the energy unused when sitting inside all day used for doing something fun, so they aren't jumping around and fidgeting while testing. They can get exercise from playing games, rather than staying inside to do worksheets all day. They also can talk to their friends without disturbing class. I think we should have recess so we can be with our friends, release the stress of trying to get all their assignments done, and get some exercise instead of sitting in a classroom all day. Socialization is a good thing, but teachers don’t need students interrupting class for one student
Middle school students should be able to have recess. For instance, “ she dragged herself off the bus and into our kitchen—exhausted “. ” break she'd had during her six-and-a-half-hour school day was for a 22-minute lunch (quiet talking only) “. The reasons kids should have recess is the main idea of this article. Kids don’t get anytime for recess in middle school, but they should, to exercise and stay happy.
Kid zone, the most family attracted location that provides fun for all ages. Setting up kid zone is really easy and we do it 2 hours before the game starts because gates open an hour and half before the first pitch. The bouncy house needs to be inflated, each game has to be set up, and also our main table where we sell tickets for a dollar each has to be brought in from the press box. Kid zone, the most enjoyable experience for kids of any age. Kid zone is located by right field and is filled with games and a bouncy house. Games such as fast pitch, bean bag toss, and corn hole. If you knock all the cans down, get over 60 in fast pitch and get one bag in, then you win a free ticket to a Jackal’s game. Kid zone can become a little bit crazy
I heard the Mavericks ball kid team is the best in the NBA, and I would like to be apart of that team. Being a ball kid would be amazing, incredible, and a fascinating person to be! I live in Abington School district, and I would have attended Abington schools if I did not attend a charter school, so I was pleased that it worked out that on April 11th I could attend a school board meeting there. Because I had to work that night, I arrived twenty minutes late to the meeting, but my father, who is a middle school band teacher in Phoenixville school district, went there early to save me a seat and let me know what happened.
One major reason why people support structured recess is because, “Recently, policy makers and funding organizations have called for more opportunities for daily activity as a means to address childhood obesity.” (Text 1, Lines 4-6). Structured recess lets students be able to play the same activity. This means that there will be less conflict because students often don’t agree with playing the same activity. For example, one group of students would want to play basketball while another group would want to play football. This doesn’t work out too well, and structured recess would fix that issue. “More children can actively participate in regular activity, irrespective of skill level.” (Text 1, Line 22). Structured recess can also be “a time for the child to make a personal choice between sedentary, physical, creative, or social options.” (Text 1, Lines 14-15). By allowing a structured recess, “Older elementary children may benefit from game instruction and encouragement for total class inclusion.” (Text 1, Lines
have you ever been at recess and it's over in a blink of an eye? The subject I will be discussing is if we should get more time at recess. The issue I chose is relevant because kids doesn’t get enough time in recess. The purpose or reason why I chose to discuss this topic is, because we need more time to get to the places we need such as a class or office. I am a credible speaker because of how this issue affects me. this issue affects me because I am a kid who wants and needs more recess. I think we should have longer recess, because we need more time to go to the places we need to go. we can socialize more with friends. Then we can get ready for the next class.
Ultimately, middle school student should have recess. Although some may say that recess takes away learning time for play time, which they can do during gym class they are wrong. Recess helps student be able to concentrate better in their afternoon classes, so that they can learn things quicker. Which overall they will learn more in the school year if they have recess. It may take away learning time but without recess by the end of the day teens are daydreaming. And will take way longer to learn things that should take them 5 minutes. Recess also gives students a time to make their own decisions and learn how to communicate with others when they get jobs. It also keeps students active and healthy so that they are able to come to school healthy

At the last Local Board of Education meeting, it was stated that the "Grade Buddies Program" is in the process of being eliminated. I was deeply sadendd and disppointed that the school district has decided in moving fowrd to cut the Grade Buddies cirriculium. This is the very class that promotes connectivty to both elmenatry and middle school students. The program was created to ease the trasnsiton of the lesuires of elemtaryty school to the hectic and merciliss world of Middle school. The social interaction, maturity, and ablity to provide inshight on higher level edcuation make a profound impact on the younger elemtary school students. The Grade Buddies Program, has been in place for over fifteen years, and has been overseen by both the Elemtary and Middle school parents
We need longer recess in school because recess plays an important role in learning, social development, and health of children. My first reason why schools should have long recess is it is good for your health. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics,”Free unstructured play is healthy and is essential for helping children reach important social, emotional, and cognitive development milestone, as well as helping them manage stress
Many students upon entering middle school are surprised to find that recess if no longer part of their day. Recess has positive benefits for students. I think kids from 1 -12th grade should have recess. A few examples are: exercise is great for students, kids need time to socialize with their friends and socially connect, and recess reduces stress.
However schools should have recess because students can be less stressed. According to Pathway outside the classroom students can be loud and animated, they do not need to be stressed. This supports my claim because students only
Many students wish that there would be a time for recess in middle school. I think there should be a set time for recess. I think there should be one because it would help kids to get their energy out, and would also give the teachers a break from teaching.
The time is 12:30. The middle schoolers and high schoolers are watching the elementary students in envy on the playground, wishing they could have recess. They have had no chance to talk with friends, be creative, or just have fun outside. Every student needs a chance to do these things, not just elementary students. Middle and high school students should have recess despite all evidence to the contrary.
What a horrible horrible day it was. It all started the first day of 6th grade here at Memorial Middle School. My mom walked in with me to get my schedule because we didn’t go to open house. I went up to my protime and it was in the art room with Mrs. Teerink. My mom sat down at a table with me and I was really scared and embarrassed. Then, to make it even worse, I started bawling my eyes out. While a lot of people walked in, and by a lot of people it was like 20, but it felt like it was a million.
