Vitamins are a class of nutrients that contain carbon. Vitamins are needed in small amounts to maintain health and allow growth. There are two types of vitamins fat-soluble and water-soluble this means that they dissolve in fat and water. There are 4 fat-soluble vitamins A,D,E,K. Vitamin A keeps your eyes and skin looking healthy. It also is needed for the growth of bones and teeth. Vitamin D is the sunlight vitamin and helps absorb calcium. Vitamin E protects your cells and vitamin K clots your blood. All of these can be stored if you have extra as fat. The water-soluble vitamins need to be replenished daily because any extra will be discharged as waste. Water Soluble vitamins are any one that was not mentioned above. We can go weeks without food but we can only go days without water. this is all because of the fact that water makes up 60 percent of your body and is necessary for every function of your body. Doctors recommend 8 glasses a day. You many not feel like you need that much but you do you lose water every way including waste, breathing, sweat and other ways. Water is never stored so every day you must replenish what you have lost. There are many ways you can get water including the food you eat, you don't just have to drink water. Cetian things will affect how much water you need including caffeine and salty foods. Too much water can make you feel sick and have to go to the bathroom a lot but if you do not get enough water then you can have major issues that may result in death. Dehydration is the lack of water or a water deficiency. Dehydration even when mild can affect your performance. It can interfere with your mental and physical abilities. Dehydration can make you feel thirsty,can create headaches, can create tired feeling. It can also contribute to loss of appetite, and both dry eyes and mouth. As the dehydration worsens it can cause nausea disorientation, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Although you may lose weight when you are dehydrated it is just water weight you are no healthier. You are actually less healthy because you are not capable of do more exercise and so you can’t lose as much fat weight and then as soon as you are hydrated you will gain that weight
