I would love the opportunity to pursue The Scott Hamilton Chase Fellowship. Being the daughter of an immigrant, I understand the existence of the knowledge and language barrier. I would love to teach a class for canal moms. I would help the adult learners, who are not fluent and literate in English, to communicate in English; so that they can not only meet their personal goals, but their employment, community, and academic goals too.

Jeff Karpell was a standout outfielder for the Fairleigh Dickinson baseball program. His freshman campaign he posted the longest hit streak by reaching base safely in seven consecutive games. Karpell also led all freshmen in hitting with a .313 batting average. Karpell really stood out as a sophomore earning All-Northeast Conference honors with a .337 average, which put him 3rd on the team and 9th in the NEC. During his senior season Karpell threw out 9 base runners, which is good enough to put him first for most single season outfield assists. Along with his single season achievements Karpell is also 7th in career batting average (.343), 7th in at bats (571), 5th in hits (196), 3rd in triples (9), and 2nd in RBIs (145).

Craig Sanders was not who you would call an honest man. He was born into poverty in the outskirts of Chicago and, at the age of six, saw his mother stabbed to death by his father. Soon after he found himself swaddled with attention by concerned strangers and neighbors. Churches started giving him more things than he had ever had in his life- New clothes, meals that weren’t PB&J sandwiches, and a TV with movies to watch.

The Dred Scott Decision of 1857 ruled that African-Americans, even ones who were not enslaved, were not protected under The Constitution and could never be citizens. Scott was born on November 7, 1928, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Kenneth Leroy Scott and Mary Eliza Whittle. When he was five years old, the family moved to Washington, D.C., where his father worked in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.[2] His father was not a member of the LDS Church at the time, and his mother was marginally active, until the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture in the Eisenhower administration, church apostle Ezra Taft Benson, named Kenneth Scott as Assistant Secretary of Agriculture. Benson's influence led to his father's conversion and the reactivation of his mother. In 1988, as church president, Benson would later appoint Richard G. Scott as an apostle of the church.

If one person got sick, it wouldn’t be that bad for anybody else in her class, but for her it would be very serious. She still loved to go to school and learn, but she barely got to go. Her school, Penn Wynne Elementary School in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania was very nice and sent a teacher to the hospital or her house a couple days a week. Alex was able to catch up even though she didn’t have five days a school, eight hours a week. Four years after Alex was diagnosed, she went to preschool. She
