"The resignation of Tim Hunt only sends the message that sexist men should hold their tongues, not change their beliefs," (McMullen, Not a Sign...). The quote stated summarizes all in all about the universal problem that is quite controversial, however isn't given genuine attention: Feminism. As a female wanting to pursue the STEM field, Tim Hunt's statement isn't a sign of progression at all. It's not only an insult, but a setback in the progression of women's rights.
Chicago has a long history of magnificent and eye-catching buildings. They have forever been ingrained in the memory of all that live in the Chicago area. One of these is the John Hancock Center. Not to be confused with the John Hancock Tower, the JHC stands at 343.7 meters. When it was finally built in 1968, it was the tallest building in the world (outside of New York City.) It is currently the third-tallest building in Chicago, after the Sears (now Willis) Tower and Trump Tower.
The Dred Scott Decision of 1857 ruled that African-Americans, even ones who were not enslaved, were not protected under The Constitution and could never be citizens. This brings up questions that will be answered in this paper. Should slaves be American citizens? Is it morally correct for one to own another human? Does the Dred Scott decision contradict The Declaration of Independence which states that every man is created equal?

During the 1780s, I spoke out against the idea of expanding the power of the national government, I was viewed as the leader of the anti-federalists. In 1787, I was elected, along with John Lansing, Jr. and Alexander Hamilton to represent New York at the Philadelphia convention, the goal of this convention being to revise the Articles of Confederation. Both I and Lansing soon left the convention as we felt the real purpose of the convention was to produce a new form of government, not to revise the articles of confederation. Soon after this I wrote a letter to Governor Clinton, the governor of New York. In this letter I gave explicit reasons for my departure from the convention and informed him of my strong opposition to the constitution. I am most famous for writing many essays, under the pseudonym of Brutus, in which I argued federalist ideologies; I began each of my essays opposing these views by addressing these essays to the citizens of New
The south for a good while was always fond of using slavery as a cheap source of work. The increase in the number of slaves was when John Rolfe became one of the first to cultivate tobacco in the so called “New World back then in the 17th century. There was good money to be made about the amount of labor that went into the tobacco cultivation was harch, hence why slaves were used. Ever since then, it is obvious to note that slaves dominated the aspect of southern life. Whether that be economically, socially or politically, slaves played an important role in each category.

I sat down with Randy Hoover, a veteran and retired state trooper now conducting private security for a retirement village in Tennessee. I’ve known Randy from going to the same church and having him as my youth counselor while I was in High School. I didn’t really fully know Randy until I sat down with him and asked him about his career. He has always been a mentor to me and always made sure life was good to me. Having been given the opportunity, I sat down with Randy to see what the average day of a trooper is truly like. Since being involved in law enforcement is my current career interest I found him to be the perfect candidate. After talking with him, I came to the conclusion that the life of a law enforcer is very different

Neuroblastoma is “a life threatening cancer that affects the nervous system (Make-A-Wish 2012).” Sam always has this passion for baseball and his wish was for a baseball field to be built in his backyard, which would allow him to play with his friends whenever he wanted.
