Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan

Satisfactory Essays

Robots. Giant, fabricated beasts. War. Trickery. Kings and queens. What more could you want? The novel Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld, has all this and more. With a strong story line, plot twists at every turn, and before mentioned beasts, and the machines. The story is about two people. A boy named Alek, and a girl named Dylan. Alek, an orphan prince, on the run after his parents death, with his country and others at war. Dylan, a girl with a fake name of “Deryn” pretending to be a boy to get into the military. When her airship crashes, her and Alek’s fates intertwine. Only madness ensues, it being a war and all. With the Clankers (machines side) after both Alek, being a runaway prince, and dylan, her being on the other side, it’s an odd pair.
