Big Decisions All great stories have a big decision that is made by a character; that character may have to think hard and long about what the decision is going to be. In the four stories that were read, there was a big decision that changed the course of the story. Based on the text, all the stories had a problem, for instance, “The Judgment of Paris” the three goddesses had to find out who was the most beautiful. Through this problem the decision maker, Paris, caused much more harm than good to himself and others.
