Scrooge goes through an amazing journey in one night to see if he can change his fate at the end of his life. The Christmas Carol explains in a creative effective way for you to be happy, nice and giving person.. Scrooge’s doesn’t want to end with the chains weighing him down for eternity like Marley so he has to change his way that he is living his life. By analyzing Scrooge’s Transformation, Childhood Innocence, and Social Justice; it becomes clear that without these three themes the book would not have the same outcome or meaning.

One quote is “they had better for it, and decrease the surplus population.” (6) This evokes feeling with mood by showing that scrooge wants the poor to die. This is at the beginning of Scrooge's Transformation, this quote goes with the theme because scrooge doesn’t care if the poor die, he wants them to because there “polluting” the space. Another quote is “you have yet a chance and hope of escaping my fate. A chance and hope of my procuring, Ebenezer.”(15) Repetition is being used here the words chance and hope are repeated over to show significance in them. This is in the middle of his transformation, Scrooge is being told to change how he is or else he will end up being in the same place of where marley is. He needs to change now before he turn into how Marley is after he died, and make Scrooge regret everything he has done, and that he needs to change his ways or he will be as bad as Marley is or even worse. The final quote is “It's Christmas Day!... The Spirits can do anything they like. Of course they can. Of course they can. Hallo, my fine fellow!” Repetition is being used here, Scrooge is saying “Of course they can. Of course they can.” Making this repetition cause the reader to think of these words more than the others.
