Sean Patrick Maloney was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada on July 30, 1966. He moved to the United States to attend college, following his interest in politics. He later married Randy Florke, which named Maloney the first openly gay congressman, and the two are currently raising three children in Coldspring, New York. Sean Patrick Maloney works on the 113th United States Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District in which he is very successful and a member of many committees, which serve as a platform for his ideology and contribute to his electoral results. On the other hand, Maloney’s assignments in the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee play a major role in New York’s 18th district. Maloney strongly supports investing in infrastructure to help with economic growth in his district. He seeks the opportunity to open up a number of construction jobs. He also wants to work to make roads, bridges, and mass transit systems safe for all Americans (sean maloney.com).
Sean Patrick Maloney was also involved in the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Frontline Program for the 2014 election.
