Our second trimester The second trimester was both cool and fun. I learned about, water treatment plants, water around the world, and water distribution around the world. It was cool because I got to learn about water and how we only have so much fresh water. It was also fun because we got to make posters about water around the world, CA water, the water cycle, conservation, and water crisis. I tried to be a risk taker by raising my hand very often. During these last trimesters I will try to be a caring person by consoling someone when they're feeling down. I'm also looking forward to the third trimester.
If I was the defense attorney trying to defend either one of these two cases. I would not bring it to trial because of the fact it would be hard for me to prove to the court that individuals was in there right state of mind when the incidents occurred. Furthermore it would take intensive amount of time for the psychologist to do this if he or she is not
The first trimester consists of all embryonic development and the primary month of fetal development. By the end of the third month (end of 1st trimester), the cartilage skeleton is beginning to ossify, the kidneys as well as liver are operating, teeth have formed, and determination of whether male or female can be concluded. In contrast, in the third trimester they eyes open and shut, the sucking reply evolves (numerous fetuses initiate to suck their thumbs or other fingers), and loud noses begin a startle response. The lanugo is vanished, and a layer of protective fat initiates to develop.
The prenatal period is when quick changes in the fetal organs are vulnerable to organizing change and stability but also building internal working system to trigger emotional responses (McEwen et al. 2013). It is a critical time for brain development and the PFC (McEwen et al. 2013). It exposes a selection of long -term modifications on brain development and behaviour (Entringer et al. 2009). Prenatal exposure to stress affects hormones in the body including the physiology and anatomy that relate to increasing drug levels, cortical communication and more (Entringer et al. 2009). Fetal stress is any event that interrupts a fetal process in stability in the body. (Entringer et al. 2009). During pregnancy, maternal stress impends the fetal nervous system and shortens the length of maturation due to many issues and concerns affecting the mother (Entringer et al. 2009). During pregnancy, maternal psychosocial stress threatens the fetal nervous system and contracts the length of gestation (Entringer et al. 2009). High levels of placental corticotrophin- releasing hormone
What physical and/or emotional challenges women face during pregnancy especially during the third trimester? Unlike the trimesters of pregnancy, the third trimester is the most challenging period experienced by women. In class, the teacher provided some students with the Pregnancy Profile Simulator (PPS) to experience what the eighth month of pregnancy feels like. The Pregnancy Profile Simulator is a weighted pregnancy vest included along with a water bladder, rib constrictor belt, and weight bag which gives the wearer of it the understanding of ” the physical, emotional and social impacts of pregnancy and its impact on life goals, finances, relationships and more.” I used to believe that the eighth month of pregnancy only brought physical
Abortion is the intentional termination of a pregnancy after conception. It allows women to put an end to their unwanted pregnancies, by killing their unborn baby For this reason, it is a very controversial subject in America. Abortion are typically done during the first trimester but you can get a abortion during the second trimester, and certain condition they will allow you to have a abortion during the third trimester. During the first trimester you will usually have one of two options which are a medical abortion procedure or a surgical abortion procedure. The types of abortions performed in the first trimester are a Methotrexate which is medical abortion procedure that is only used up to seven weeks of the pregnancy. Mifepristone
In the last 20 years the hopes of survival for neonates have seen significant increase, almost all of the causes of perinatal mortality and morbidity have decreased. There is only one threat unmoved, still standing above the rest- Preterm birth. Prematurity or preterm birth is defined as the birth of any child between 20-37 weeks of gestation. Delivery prior to 20 weeks of gestation is considered a Natural abortion.1 The survival rate of low birth weight infants has significantly increased from 15-80% in the last 20 years. However, the incidence of prematurity has not seen any change, neither decrease nor increase. Currently the average incidence is 10-11%.1
It sounds impossible to take a nice, long nap while you are pushing your new baby out into the world, but that is exactly what happened to this new mother.
So you’ve planned a baby, or maybe found out you are pregnant and it wasn’t exactly on the ‘to do’ list.
In the video titled Fetus at 12 weeks, in which I observed, it is really hard to tell how big the fetus is but it is the size of a plum. Which is only a few inches long. The fetus has only begun to use reflexes really well. The fetus is actively squirming in the beginning. Though the mother will unlikely feel the fetus move at this time for at least a few more weeks. The fetus is moving well developed arms and legs which mimics a child running outside the womb and putting hands and fingers to his/her face. We note that fetal activity is an early sign of milestones to come. These milestones are important in normal development.
Prematurity is the name give to infants born before their full-term date of 37 weeks. There are different levels of premature births, which can include late preterm babies (34 weeks), very preterm (32 weeks) and extremely preterm (25 weeks). The more prematurity your baby is, the greater the risks increase.
Premature birth is becoming more common among women. And according to the newsweekly, since 1940 premature birth is happening twice as much. What is interesting about this article is that they believe that premature birthing is linked to women giving birth at a later age. This brings up questions like why? We will get back to that questions, but let’s first discuss some previous reports regarding premature births. Studies have shown that smoking and c-sections have almost no link to prematurity. Scientist has suggested women not to smoke and doctors not to perform c-section. According to their data analysis, there were no signs of dropping in premature birth. However, it could lead to other birth complications. They also found that some type of bacterial infection can be part of this cause,
According to Kyla Pratt, An Actress, “Being pregnant is supposed to be the happiest time in your life.” I must admit I she is right I had a share of experiencing being pregnant three years ago with my baby boy. Everything was not always easy it had a few bumps throughout my pregnancy. I experienced a lot especially in my first and second trimester well all my trimesters actually.
Everybody wants to do something different for an occupation. Military, sports, medical, there are thousands of jobs in the world to do, so think.. What do you want to do when you're older? Me personally, I want to be a midwife, here is why.
The most important thing is that the fetus is a person and every person has a right to life. Even though the majority of people disagree with this point, and say fetus is not a person yet but rather it’s a bunch of tissues or cells. The counter argument to this that she says a fetus is a already become a person before birth, by tenth week for an example the fetus has human characteristics already such as a face, arms and legs, fingers and toes along with detectable brain activity. Upon this statement since every person has the right to life, so does the fetus since it’s a developing human. But what about the mother doesn’t she have right to decide what happens to the fetus, since it’s her body. Everyone would agree, but surely a person’s right
Everyone knows that a mother’s prenatal care and all the things a mother needs to do to make sure she has a healthy baby. No one ever thinks about the father’s role in prenatal care. It is starting to be brought to light how important a father’s role in prenatal care actually is. Not only is there health important while trying to have a baby but even after their spouse is pregnant they need to still focus on being healthy and safe for the baby. Not only physical but also mental health is a big factor in prenatal development. The importance of knowing about a father’s effect on prenatal develop is that people are aware of everything
