After taking all of these assessments, I learned a great deal about myself. I am now able to pinpoint several strengths I possess that I was unaware of beforehand. Competencies index: For me, the Competencies index was the most difficult because it is a self-assessment in which I received no input. Therefore, I had to spend extra time really thinking about which areas I excelled in. After some time analyzing myself, I found that that I have a strength in Organization. I like to keep things organized as well as help others stay organized too. I do not work well in a cluttered environment, so throughout the years I have developed routines and tricks that help myself and others around me keep an organized workspace. I enjoy

I also feel that I have well-balanced Written Skills. Putting words on paper has always come easily to me, and I believe that I am successful at fluidly transferring my thought into written form. My peers have always come to me when they have needed someone to proofread their papers, or when they need tips on improving written work. I am also somewhat analytical, and like to understand problems at their roots. I enjoy learning new things and constantly find myself ‘Googling’ things which I would like to know more about. Strength’s Finder 2.0: I learned a lot from taking this assessment. My top 5 themes are as followed; Harmony, Consistency, Analytical, Adaptability, Intellection. Although I was unaware that I held these strengths, I am now confident in saying that I indeed excel in these areas. As far as Harmony goes, it is true that I do not like to spend all my time in one area. I also do not like to take sides in conflicts and would rather stay out of it. I am not good with confrontation, unless I have to be. Consistency is also something that …show more content…
I will not go through all of the individual listening skills, just a few that I find the most relevant to myself. The assessment showed that I got an 8 in avoiding interruption. I never interrupt anyone while they’re speaking. I always wait for them to finish before I speak out. I scored a 2 in maintaining interest. I find myself easily getting distracted if the speaker goes on for a long time, or starts speaking about something I’m not extremely interested in. My score in showing interest though was a 9. I try to at least make sure the speaker feels comfortable when they are speaking, and feel that they are being heard. My total for this assessment was 28 out of a possible 45 points, which shows that I have a lot to improve when it comes to my listening skills. Emotional Intelligence: I got a 75 in this quiz. I feel I can read people fairly well, but there is a lot I need to learn about the appropriate emotional reactions in different
The first quiz I took was the “Emotional Intelligence Quiz.” My score was a seventeen out of twenty. The interpretation states, “You seem naturally well-attuned to others' emotions--a vital skill for forming compassionate connections. You scored well above average but still have room for growth; research suggests that people can improve their emotion recognition skills with practice.” The easiest part of this quiz was identifying the emotions that were presented. The most difficult part for me was understanding why my answer was incorrect because when my answer was incorrect, my choice was very similar to the correct answer. For example, at one point I picked shame instead of embarrassment, and the two look very similar. The main thing I learned from this quiz was
Skepticism at its finest has been overturned. As I was taking the Clifton StrengthsFinder survey, I found myself questioning how accurate the results would be; however, as I read the descriptions of each strength, I found myself looking right back at me. According to the StrengthsFinder survey, my five greatest strengths are achiever, strategic, responsibility, learner and relator.
I have taken a number of personality tests and surveys throughout the years for one class or another. I’m usually not very impressed by the results because I rarely feel that they truly capture who I am. When I took the Strengths Finder 2.0 quiz I wasn’t expecting very much. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I have never had a more accurate synopsis of how I operate and communicate as a person and a leader. My top five strengths according to Strengths Finder 2.0 include: Adaptability, Relator, Intellection, input, and restorative.
I think I scored high in this assessment because of the challenges I have overcame in my life, the therapy I have received and self education. I have survived physical, mental, and sexual abuse. I have survived being bullied. I survived growing up extremely poor. I survived discrimination and sell abuse. Most of all I have survived my own fears. I may have agoraphobia, P.T.S.D., social anxiety, bipolar and a host of medical issues, yet I could wallow in the pain, the past or the struggle, instead I choose to move forward. I chose to make my life
On the emotional intelligence quiz, I received a 70 out of 100. I learned that in most situations, I’m the calm one, who is usually trying to talk sense into someone else. For example the question about the angry customer on the phone, I choose the answer about talk to him, and offering him options that could help with his problem. I learned that I’m a problem solver, which I would have never have pictured myself as being. I think of myself more as a listener, than a problem solver. It does make sense though since being a problem solver and listener do go together. You have to listen to someone to help them solve their problems. I know that people will come to me, if they have problems with anything. So I’m a lot more savvy than I thought I
I have found the test really interesting. All the questions were answered honestly and with great curiosity for the output. Although I had an idea of how my behavior and my attitude is, in some parts the results really surprised me. I know for example, that I am not really the best person to hang out; therefore the grade for Gregariousness was really high. I had also found out that I can be described as a little lazy, which I cannot say it is true, or although I feel a terrible sympathy for blind people (I really don’t know why) instead of another group of disabled people, nevertheless the test indicated that my level of sympathy is low, which was quite a big shock.
After reveiewing my results from the self assessment test, my scores improved except for communication. In communication I scored one point higher than before. I dont think the test is accurate but it has definitely made me more aware of my practices and actions. Since taking the first assessment Ive been more mindful and have tried very hard to improve personally and professionally. My attitude/behavior is my professional strength. Im always positive and I keep a smile on my face no matter the situation. My knowledge and skills are reflected in all of the work that I complete. Through my actions my patients can see that I have a passion for helping others. I hold myself to a high standard and expect nothing but the best. Im always
Do you feel that the scores accurately reflected your emotional intelligence on these four domains? Why or why not?
4. What did you learn about yourself from the Assessment? (What were your major strengths and weaknesses? How
The self-assessment test is a test to rate where you stand on certain skills. I am not really sure on how I felt with this considering I had more low numbers than high, I would have to say that I feel weakness. I learned that with taking this test I have weakness and strengths, also made me realize that I need to work on more than I thought.
I always know how to handle the feelings of other individals and put myself in their shoes and understand them more. 4. I am very happy that I was able to take this test and to read my results. I always knew what type of person I was and this test was very helpful. By taking this test and knowing my results I will be more prepared than I already am to handle all people with many different personailities.
I was confidence that I will complete the assessment to the best of my ability, thus it will provide me with an honest reflection of my emotional intelligence abilities. The assessment enlighten me about what I needed to know to support my emotional intelligence developmental and communicating interpersonally. Because I am inquisitive about people I do not know, that makes me very outgoing and have a willingness to meet new people. I naturally tend to ask people vast majority of questions after I have been introduced to someone. That said, I believe I have a certain degree to display empathy, which is considered to be a component of emotional intelligence. I believe I have a high EQ not just for my personal relationships, but professional
My listening skills need to be worked on and the self-assessment definitely re-emphasized that for me because I scored under a forty which is the line that determines a good listener compared to someone that needs to work on their listening skills. I think that I have a listening problem that stems from speaking and then immediately thinking about what I want to say next without really listening to the person I am having a conversation
The second test we took was the Multiple intelligence test this test helped me find my weaknesses and strengths that I have, which was interesting, my top 3 strengths are math/logic, which makes me like to solve problems and use logic to solve them. My other strength is body movement which is true because I do move around alot. The last strength is spatial which equals me to like graphs and shapes which is perfect for my job. My 2 weaknesses are music and language this is because I don't put them as priority. However I also learned that I can be a organized person but also a perfectionist. This test helped
Throughout this semester, I really enjoyed taking multiple self-assessments to understand my own personality, but I think the Types of Intelligence Assessment and the Educational Philosophies Assessment were the most helpful. First, the Intelligence Assessment allowed me to connect my way of thinking and the subjects I do well in with a type of intelligence. In my case, I scored higher in Logical and Mathematical Thinking and in Insightful Skills for Analyzing Others, which makes sense because I
