Self-Assessment III and VI In self-Assessment III the first sections talks about what type of organizational system I would prefer. Organizational Structure is a system that defines the levels of hierarchy within an organization. The organizational structure classifies each job, explains its function, and who it reports to within the organization. Based on my scores they suggest I prefer to work in a mechanistic structure rather than a organic structure. In a mechanistic structure people work separately and specialize on only one task. Also within a mechanistic the hierarchy of authority is well-defined. The first section also measures my ability to delegate in the work place. According to my score I need to substantial improve on my ability to delegate. Based on the analysis delegating authority are what many managers have difficult doing. My ratio for being able to give feedback is a four out four. This means my self-perceived strength and weakness are equal, but I could work to improve ratio to be more self-perceived in strength. In the section labeled careers it indicates that I my preferred organizational culture that informal, humanistic, flexible, and innovative culture. These traits fall under humanistic culture even thought my other score suggested I prefer a mechanistic structure. It also indicates that I’m not that committed to my job since my score falls below the mean. This is ok since not being committed to ones job is the new norm than it was
According to Conte, Weiner, and Plutchik, the average score for most people, regardless of age, is 8.5. My score shocked me a little because I would think I worry about death a lot but consider to this questionnaire I am not that concern. I scored a 3, it was lower than the average score that these researchers found. I believe my score was low because I am deciding to make plans for my future and if I decide to get marry and have children the will not have to worry about anything except live their life and work hard. I want to get all of my debt settled and pay out all the bills so that my family would not have to worry. I do not believe anyone would forget about me because there will always be photos and videos to remember me by whether it
To verify the first indicator, a survey will be used. Surveys can gather large amounts of data, and can be administered through mail, e-mail, or face-to-face. As this survey is in the process of being developed, it is essential that the survey undergoes testing to ensure the survey is measuring what it needs to measure. A method that will be utilised will be a survey with a rating scale used as the tool to measure service user satisfaction. The Likert scale is commonly used to measure a person’s attitudes or behaviours, using answer choice that ranges from one end to another (Kuma-Tan et al. 2007, p. 550) (appendix 1). A Likert scale survey can identify the different levels of the service user’s opinions about the staff’s cultural competence (Mellor & Moore 2014, p. 369). The survey will indicate the service user’s satisfaction, identify if further training is required, and improvements.
People are created uniquely and different one to another, which results in character and personality differences. The needs of socialising and workplace purposes, such as career development and organisation effectiveness have ‘forced’ people to be more aware and understand their potentials through self-analysis. It requires people to assess themselves as an object in particular event or experience, which enables people to gain self-awareness (De Janasz, Wood, Gottschalk, Dowd, and Schneider, 2007, p.8). Self-awareness is the ability of an individual in assessing others’ evaluations of self and incorporate those evaluations in one self-evaluation, which then would help determine his
As I arrive into the office the receptionist informs me that my new client has arrived. I greet him and ask him to follow me. In the office I introduce myself and ask him how he is doing today. He seems to have a positive outlook on things. I inform him that his visit today will take no more than an hour. First and foremost I have him read and sign off the consent form. Next I inform the client about privacy and confidentially. I also let him know it is okay to stop me and ask any questions. Lastly, although he has allowed his previous therapist to share his chart with me, I confirm with him once again if it is okay for me to take a look. The client agrees and I begin to conduct his assessment.
Everyday we ask ourselves, “Did I make the right decision?” Whether it is in regards to family, friends or co-workers we constantly do self assessments. Self-assessment is defined as a process through which individuals gain knowledge about themselves. This includes information about their likes and dislikes as well as their reactions to specific situations. By knowing more about themselves, individuals can be able to determine the work situations and occupations that are most appropriate for them. There are several lessons that can be learnt from self-assessment in relation to individual decision making. This research paper will examine reveal the lesions learned from self assessment. We will observe of the influence of the American
What do you believe are the primary purposes of community organizations, social service agencies or other government agencies?
In taking the 360o Refined Self-Assessment I have learned my five highest leadership skills are: communication, outcome concern, information sharing, credibility, and decision fairness. My five highest rated behaviors are: communication, communication, communication, outcome concern, and outcome concern. I agree that I do well in communication. Moreover, I feel information sharing is part of good communication. I talk with my employees as often as possible and sit down with each employee once a month to do employee rounding where we speak of how well their day is going, what I can do to make it better, and share any information I have to pass along. I also agree that I am concerned for outcomes because I am genuinely concerned with my employee’s
The world population all around the globe are continuing to age, and live longer lives and are striving to live healthier and robust lifestyles. According to American Physiological Association ( 2001) by 2050 older adults aged sixty-five years and beyond is expected to triple. During my Self-Assessment test that I took on Goddessflight.net and Humanmetrics.com it score me as an Extravert, Intuitive, Feeling/sensing and Judging/perceiving. Taking the assessment tests help me understand what job market would be great and how well I fit in with people when I get to work with them. Upon hiring they would like to see how well you work because they would like to see how well you work together.
Self-assessments can be beneficial, as they allow one to better understand how they communicate and how they form relationships. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Johari Window, and the pillow method are examples of these evaluations. In this paper, I will use these three self-assessments to illustrate the ways in which I communicate and interact with people.
I chose to assess myself positively in all of the categories because I felt that I did a good job of thoroughly responding to and completing each of the requirements. I came to the discussion with a several page response to each of the four questions that I posed in relation to the text, complete with a highlighted and annotated copy of the story to use as a reference point. During the discussion itself, I referred to how the specific actions of each of the characters in the story might be interpreted and related in a more broad sense to the meaning of the work as a whole. For example, I spoke at one point about how the actions of the wife seemed inconsistent with the continuous importance placed on the value of honor within the story, as her
Thank you for encouraging words. It was hard trying to find a real definition to behavioral blend because there are so many aspects that you have to take in consideration. When talking to family and friends you are able to speak freely because they know how you communicate better than those who we just meet. For me personally I have a close net family and we speak freely to each other when we meet new people it takes them some time to understand the tone that we are using friendly. In the self-assessment it states that I am “I know how to put myself in other people’s shoes. But it also says that I pay more attention to the message I’m receiving rather than how it was received”. And in the uniquely you, they placed as me a “S/c or a C/S”. But
I scored high which indicates that I am very involved in examining my interest, values, personality, and skills. The next test was career exploration and I scored a 4.5. my score indicates that I am very involved in career exploration and I understand what my interests and skills are. Finally, the last test was career planning satisfaction and I scored a 3.33. This is on the low end which can mean I am experiencing some problems with my career planning.
A regular self-assessment will help you to understand your individual performance. An excellent manager will always have healthy habits so that the employees that he is supervising will adopt the same behaviour. Employees who are tardy regularly are frequently absent from the office are unlikely to be meeting their organisational expectations. Poor punctuality means an employee is not performing their work to the hope of the organisation. The negative attitude they display may also be affecting their colleagues. An employee who disregards your expectations and presents a dishevelled or careless appearance reflects poorly on your management style and would not be meeting the performance standard of the organisation.
•After I completed all of these self assessments quiz, I learned a lot about myself. I learned that I am more of relate to art more than science. Even though I said that I want to me a Dentist for my future, but it was just a plan. Future can be change. Something that surprised me was the knowledge quiz because the occupations that listed were mostly related to my interests.
