Self-efficacy in the medical practice is a crucial consideration since the quality of services relies on how practitioners relate to each other. Recently, there has been increased the need for nursing attentiveness. Nurses are expected to portray superior communication techniques since the discipline requires the conveyance of information in between different departments as well as individuals. The commencing research will attempt to explain the importance of assertive communication among nurses and physicians. The research will also clarify barriers towards assertive communication. Background The subject of assertive communication has taken the nursing industry by storm. This approach argues that, there is a need to accept our own positive, negative, creation of more tolerant and less judgmental attitudes. Research has further established that, individual need to take responsibility personalities and acknowledge of personal needs, risking refusal, asking directly and having a good self-esteem. In addition, assertiveness explains that there is a need to set limits, boundaries, and self-dependency.
