Since I have been on my path to self independence from quite a young age, I have focused a lot in having a healthy mind in the aspect of learning about nutritional factors and being physically active. Since High School when I was assigned to fitness class I understood that it was important for me to be physically active, it made me feel better, more confident and exercising produced enough chemical in my body to keep it in balance. So I went on with that idea and a couple years after high school and not being able to attend College, I took a long distance program on Nutrion and Fitness, all while working at a natural foods grocery store. I was never a jock, physically neither genetically gifted but I set goals towards being a Personal trainer. After a couple more years and a few other unrelated jobs, with …show more content…
- I got the theoretical parts of the studies, but failed to get the practical, and as they say, practice makes it perfect, doing the basics on my own was not getting me to expand my knowledge. - I kept working on unrelated fields and focusing less on what I wanted, either for the lack of experience or for being afraid to lose the job I had, which was very financially needed for my basic needs, so opted to not pursue something I did not have fully confidence in myself in doing. - I kept actively, but the job I had was very stressful and time consuming wich in turn kept from eating healthy and adequately to balance the energy I was spending. - I did no visit doctors or had regular check ups. - I am not a motivational speaker, and neither was I trying to acquire skills to become one. Even though I had all these factors above going against me and after being so overworked and overwhelmed with my then job, I quit it, soon after only 2 weeks I still managed to get a job as Personal trainer with the certification I had, but the same factors above contributed for it to not
Since I was a little kid I had trouble with obesity, and controlling it. I wasn’t super active or athletic, except for in the summer when I swam for my summer league swim team, I didn’t like fruit or vegetables all that much, and I loved to eat junk food. And with my family, I didn’t feel like change was necessary in order to achieve success in life, so I didn’t really try to be physically fit,
Recently I have been motivated by my friend Adrian’s life changing decision of putting behind his desire of just letting go and being determined to live a healthy life. I have always had an active life and enjoy playing sports but figured that it wouldn’t be enough and I am currently on a diet which has cut down on my calorie and sugar level intake. Nowadays I take the time to read nutrition labels and measure portion sizes which make a great difference. Every now and then I have a break and consume foods that are not healthy but I now I am doing better now. It is a constant struggle to not get tempted into a delicious looking pizza or some perfectly rounded donuts but I stay motivated to achieve my
Making that decision lead me to make another life altering decision, this was to continue my education. The decision to continue my education allows me to build a brighter future for my children and intern to have them struggle less.
Have you shunned incorporating fitness and healthier eating into your routine because you’ve always regarded such dedication as something *other people do*? Appealing to all fitness levels is how we approach the needs of our readership because even those with just a few moments per day can utilize some of the guidelines we endorse. It is never too late or too soon to assimilate better living through exercise and diet. While not everyone aspires to be an Olympian, there is a bit of a health nut in all of us, and finding our inner athlete is most readily accomplished by defining what physical activities are enjoyable on a personal level. If a regimen is not at least somewhat pleasurable and easy to work into a busy schedule, it will likely
I consider myself as an active individual. Throughout my childhood, I was fortunate enough to be exposed to a variety of activities in different environments. As a result, my passion for physical activity has influenced me to become a health and physical educator because I want to coach others on the importance of being active. As I think about my future practices, the one burning question I have is: How do I engage and help my students who consider themselves as ‘non-athletes’ or ‘non-active’ to grow a passion for physical activity. This question matters to me because as a future educator, I will be challenged with students who will not have a desire to be physical activity and it will be my duty to develop a plan to engage these students and teach them the importance of making healthy choices.
When I was young, my mom told me that to hang out with someone, or I would be alone. I thought that was a reasonable person would do and try to be outgoing, but I grow more conservative with age. People call that a loner. loner love self-entertaining. And working more efficient with them and weird.
In general, Uber drivers in New York State are mostly classified as independent contractors. Based on the US Supreme Court tests and criteria (United States v. Silk, 331 U.S. 704 (1947) and NLRB v. United Ins. Co. of America, 390 U.S. 254(1968)), the Internal Revenue Services (IRS), the Fair Labor Act Standard (the Economic Realities Test), the National Labor Relations Act, the US Department of Labor, and finally the New York State Department of Labor, most of drivers working in the Taxi industry (Yellow Cab, Black Car Service) and particularly for Uber Technology are considered self-employed -independent contractor-. Indeed, for most businesses, classified their worker as an independent contractor yield multiple advantages such as money saving from the nonpayment of contributions for unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation funds.
As a person grows up they develop more and more independance. As a young child you have little to no independence. As you grow up and become a teenager you may get a phone or even start driving, and you begin to develop more and more independance. I believe independance can be both good and bad.
I would like to change my physical health behavior. Chose that because I’m in sports and I would love to learn more about what it takes to be health and what I can do to become a healthier athlete. Throughout this course I hope to learn more about what it takes to be health. I have many had habits, such as eating unhealthy, not taking care of myself when sick, and not getting enough sleep or too much sleep. I would like to break free of those bad habits and be a happy healthy individual! With experience I’ve been physical for as long as I can remember just have a few flaws that need to be fixed. Tomorrow 1/4/2016 will be when I start and 1/16/2016 will be when I finish and hopefully complete what I’m planning on achieving. I have downloaded
As someone approaching college graduation, I am completely proud of how far I have come. I have fulfilled my goals of being the first in my family to graduate, graduate with two degrees and travel the world. However, all the while I was looking for something more. Before university, I always loved volunteering. It brings me great joy to help others in my community and beyond. My first experience abroad was a sight-seeing and service trip to England. It was an amazing opportunity to realize how small one person is in a world of seven billion. Yet one single person can make a huge difference in the life of a few people, which motivates me to serve. If I can positively impact the lives of a few people, I will feel like I can help change the
I think it’s hard to define what being independent means to me. I think the classical: “You’re not under any other country’s rule” definition of independence is wrong. Even though Finland is an independent country, can you really call Finland an independent country? All the countries in this world are connected to each other and are dependent on each other. If China’s market would collapse, the end result would be catastrophic for us too, or if The USA keeps using as much nonrenewable energy as they are now (and yes other countries too) we are all gonna experience the consequences of each other's actions in the form of the whole world’s climate changing.
I have never experienced an intense passion to look, act, or think like someone. I believe that in a mundane world where as humans our genetic makeup aligns 99% with one another, we should strive to preserve any individuality we possess.
A college is a place where we go to a party, learn and of course get away from our parents, I’m here for that reason and more. Becoming independent is something I feel I should focus on because I can’t rely on my mom all of my life especially since I'm an adult now. Being independent means that I can make decisions for myself like picking my own classes, become a different person from how I was in high school, and try to join different organizations. Me doing these things should increase my chances of being independent and learn how to make it on my own.
Graduating and getting out on your own is a difficult step to make. There are a lot of things that you have to take into perspective. The choices that you make when you get out of highschool believe it or not are crucial and life altering. Decisions that you have to make are ones like what you want your career to be, where you want to live, and a big decision is buying a house. In making these decisions you have to do a lot of research and things to be prepared. I did a lot of research in hopes of finding a career that I would like and three things that I could see myself doing was owning my own spa ($100,000 yearly salary), managing a spa($60,000 yearly salary), or being an
“No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong.” This was a motto posted in a public bathroom, with no author to credit. We live in a world where self-reliance is the norm, and the worship of self is encouraged. In Christianity, our reliance is not on our own strength, but on Him who breathed life into me and works all things for my good. God is a gentleman and His invisible hand of guidance is the reliability we all need, for it is greater than we can fathom. God is our light, whom we belong to. Without Him, we are lost in the darkness of this temporary world.
