How are you? I hope you’re doing amazing. I just want to say thank you for allowing me to be your senior mentor and making you mentoring experience a great one. You are such a great person. I appreciate you for coming to most of the convocations that we had. Your presence meant a lot to me. You are a nice person and I hope you never change up. Instead of changing up to be a bad person just level up on being a good person. Don’t slack in grades and whenever you feel like giving think of all the opportunities you're blowing away.
Make sure you stay out of trouble throughout your high school years. Don’t get involve in anything that you know it’s bad for you and make sure you hang with the right people. Don’t hang out with people that don’t motivate
Senior citizens are the people who are most likely to take multiple medications due to the occurring chronic conditions as the aging process continues. Given the several medicines they take, they are ironically the age group that is very much sensitive to medication side effects, both therapeutic and negative.
Step 1: Make friends. Friends are crucial to surviving high school. But not just any friends, you need good friends. Friends that will drive to you if you have a flat tire at 1am. Friends that don’t make you want to do bad things unless they are good bad things.
The Senior Show is a relatively new concept at Pinecrest High School, where the seniors, and only seniors, who are part of the theater department produce, direct, cast, and star in a single play completely by themselves. This year the seniors chose to work on a play called Almost, Maine, by John Cariani. The show was performed on May 12, beginning at 7:00 pm.
Based on the analysis of the data collected for this research, academic and social assimilation was necessary to keep African American women college students in community colleges. Every mentoring relationship may differ student to student, but overall, mentoring helps students to develop self-confidence, educational goals, and the aspiration to be successful in an educational setting. As seen in the results of this survey, students thought that consulting was the most helpful service offered by the AASP, as faculty mentors were able to develop compelling relationships outside the classroom to contribute to their academic success. Students took advantage counseling sessions provided to them as 58% of students
This year I have taken the initiative and joined the Freshman mentor program. Every Thursday, I stand in front of my freshman class and try to guide them through their first year of high school successfully. I put myself out for them, telling them about my experiences, my mistakes. Not only do I tell them of my experiences, I show them others as well. This allows them realize they can exceed and become successful as well. Weekly, I engage them by asking for their opinions on certain topics , problems, and situations in school and encourage them to find ways to solve or improve those situations and problems. By allowing them to talk, express themselves, voice their opinions, I encourage them to start thinking, to develop problem solving
Number one : Your grades are above all most important. Don’t abuse free time, use it to get a little work done then laugh with your friends. Pay attention in class and please please please listen closely to your teachers. Number two: Love your class. It makes life so much easier. You're in a small school, as long as you're not completely weird you’ll fit in. Friends are essential to a smooth ride through high school. Plus if you get behind on an assignment they can help you catch up. Finally number three: Just keep going. High school will not last forever and it will get straight up depressing at some point, but by all means don’t give up, it’s gonna be ok, and you’ll get through it. It’s been a wild ride for me. I wish you and whoever reads this the best of luck and the funnest of
Don't judge any one because if you do judge people during high school then they may never be your friend and in high school there are a lot of group projects all so you may desperately need their help and they may not assist you because you were mean to them. Don't be like odysseus Don't brag to a Cyclopes and be rude don't think of yourself smarter than anyone else be kind and caring. Don't become an egotistical “hero Figure” and think you're better than anyone else.
Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. Keep talking to him, don’t let him get away from you. You have had it tough this year, but by the end of the year you didn’t let anything affect you. Your grades were A’s and B’s all year. You made some amazing new friends like, Chandler, Clayton Ecker, Collin and more boys

Welcome to 2017! As we leave the old year behind, I find it hard to forget the often turbulent and contentious public dialogue about…well, almost everything. But there are too many havens of sanity for me to lose hope. One of the things that impressed me about the Coalition’s community of survivors from the moment I first walked through the door is its openness to people from all backgrounds, all interests, all walks of life. Breast cancer certainly doesn’t discriminate; quite the contrary, it levels the playing field. As survivors, we find ourselves reaching across political aisles, economic barriers, and
There are people in everyone's lives who have played a significant role in developing their personality or have been a mentor or a guide or a positive influence all their life. My oldest brother, Kaleb Mortenson, has been all of these as he has helped me with life advice and inspired me technologically and musically.
As I am entering my senior year everyone has told me to make sure and slow down because it will be over before I know it. This year I want to learn how to build a strong support group for my emotional well being and grow closer with new people. I am striving to try and make the most of my senior year, so God will prepare me for the upcoming years.
I want to take the time to say thank you for all you have taught me about professionalism and the great advice you have given me along the way. I have sincerely enjoyed the time I have spent with you at Teach for America. It was such an amazing pleasure having you as my mentor. You were always available to help me whenever you can and consistently checking-in with me to ensure I was on track, which I really appreciate your kindness. I’m so happy that I got the opportunity to have a different mentor because it provided me with new experiences and new skills that I needed. It has been great getting to know you at TFA.
As a unsaved 19 year old young man, I joined the United States Navy, the Navy creed was drilled into our heads Honor, Courage, and commitment. Taken at face value, these are moral ideas in a less than moral environment. Picture this, young men fresh out of high school find themselves in exotic places far from the Wisconsin farms they grew up on. So, where do you turn? Some were smart and turned to God right away others find a Godly mentor to help them mentally and spiritually relate to this new world. Sadly still others fall slave to this lifestyle of work hard play harder, they fall to alcohol, they fall to prostitution, and all the shiny “things” the world has to offer. I was one of the middle guys; I always somehow seamed to run into a Christian to mentor me, guide me, and teach me what Honor,
When dealing with women and minorities in the work environment, there are challenges in training effectiveness. Women and minorities need mentors in order to be effective, because they need someone that can lead them in a direction that will help their career. Mentoring is a big factor when dealing with this type of employees. There is a great need for mentoring and helping these groups associate their goals with their careers. Some mentors are on the same level, but it is critical that they recognize the need in helping others that have been in the same situation. Counseling and career programs that help accelerate their goals while moving them up the corporate chain is a valuable need that mentors must utilize. “The fact remains that people generally seek out and maintain mentoring relationships with people who are like interns of race, gender,
