My first day of senior year had been just like every other year, except my schedule was very basic. The goals I had in mind were mainly outside of my time in school. I had been taking college courses online to better prepare myself for college and to eliminate costs in classes, so I had to make sure I passed all of them. Another goal had been to save money from my job to accomplish personal goals after I exit high school. The style I had when I arrived on campus was very passive along with my attitude. I have never been a fan of high school and was prepared to get through the day as quick as possible. I essentially had a “bad” attitude about the day and the year but had been turned around as I went through my classes. My expectations were
Despite the fact that the plans we make for ourselves will not always happen, there is nothing wrong with planning your future and having goals. My biggest goal for this year, that I plan to achieve, is to keep up my good grades and graduate with highest honors along with the rest of the Beta Club. I plan to work hard and focus on the important things, but not stress over the small things. Enjoying my senior year is extremely important, participating in activities and enjoying my last bit of high school should be a top priority. But in order to enjoy all that this last year has
Senior year: you never see it coming. Before you start high school, you are told that the next four years of your life will be the best times. You are also told that those same 4 years will go by faster than you expect. Going into highschool I never expected it to go by fast. I thought these amazing four years of my life were going to drag on forever. Now I realize that is far from true. I am now a second semester senior and the time clock is almost to zero. Joining orchesis was one of the best things I could have ever done in high school. Being involved in something makes senior year that much harder. Everything you do is your last. You know you're a senior when it is time for you to make the senior chant for show.
Senior year has been a great year so far, and I’ve made so many friends. It hard to believe that it’s coming to an end. This is by far the fastest school year for me thats ever gone by. So many things are going on that I have to keep track of. Life choices, figuring out where I want to go for college obviously, applying for jobs, and learning how to drive, have all been consuming a lot of my time. It’s stressful but I know I have to do it and it’s gonna be great for me in the long run. The start of the year I sat with my junior friends at lunch every day. After a while, some of the main people that I usually talk to left the group, so I was with left with only one friend and a bunch of other girls I didn’t know or talk to. My friend eventually
Freshman year is the most important year in high school because it determines your future in school and what it beholds. This year can help with so much in school and it can basically determine your whole entire future in school and even in life. There are so many little things that can be determined while you are a freshman and that's why I think it’s the most important year of your life if you do indeed want to succeed.
There comes one of the saddest times of the year when a girl must put away her bikini and shorts and trade them in for a knee length skirt and a shirt that shows no shoulders, we call this back to school time. I am luckily entering my senior year so really all you will see me doing is counting down the days to my graduation! No totally kidding this by far has to be the most emotional year of high school, you are realizing you probably wont be seeing your friends in the halls next year and you wont be going home to Mom's cooking and sisters screaming. Don't get me wrong there are definitely days (weeks, months, whole lifetimes) I'm excited to leave the house and never want to see the people from my school again but its also the realization that so much will change and honestly you are finely
Most students believe that they have it made when they reach their final year of high school. Most also conceived the idea that their year will go by leisurely; but as a senior you face the most challenging obstacles that will test your integrity. Depending on the kind of person you are these challenges will make or break you. In turn leading to your downfall or your success. The choice is truly yours and I have made mine.
Few transitions in life are as stressful and exciting as the first few weeks as a college freshman. Between meeting people with infinitely different backgrounds, having more freedom than ever before, and finding time to complete coursework, college can be a lot to handle.
Throughout the other grades in high school, there’s grades that are considered as the first priority in passing. Overall the other grades, freshman year is the top priority in passing because it’s a fresh start of building a future and preparing for college. When being held back as a freshman, there's a loss of self-esteem and lots of judgement. The ones who are being held back as a freshman find it easier to give up and drop out of school. Freshmen year is also considered as a make it or break it year which determines whether kids stay to finish school or drop out altogether.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” -Nelson Mandela. School can be stressful at times, even in elementary when all you wanted to do is play and forget about homework. However, as the person started growing up they realized that school is a responsibility and it is very important to go far in life. Freshman year can be a important year due to a new experience, coming of age, and it brings awareness of what will happen in the years to come. Nevertheless, senior year is equally, if not more important because it is the year you would prepare for ACT and SAT, apply for colleges, and to anticipate graduating.
My Junior started at Saint Paul’s High school, it was a semi-small school from what i thought. The hallways were small and always crowded when we switched classes. Everyone knew of everybody, but most probably never even talked to one another. There was so much drama, everyone talked about everybody, you just could not be yourself. The staff was not really understanding, I was constantly feeling stressed and worried. I Eventually decided to go to my sister’s school, Highlander Academy.
Freshman year was interesting. I was entering a new environment that I had no idea about and meeting people that I did not grow up with was hard. I was also having to deal with finding out who I was which proved to be the most difficult. For some reason I thought I was going to be the loud, edgy girl because I was the quiet meek girl my whole life. Turns out I don’t play that part very well because I went back to being my quiet self sophomore year. I have to say though, freshman year was the most exciting year. I was getting good grades, enjoying the on top of the world feeling, and getting to restart myself. When sophomore year came around, it went downhill. I was placed in a class I did not choose and could not get out of. I purposefully
An advice that I would tell to incoming juniors would be to take everything serious as it is a year that is essential to colleges and universities. The first step to make a great year is having the capacity to have work done. Many say that junior year is the worst year of high school, but it does not have to be unless procrastination takes upon you. Proceeding to enter senior year, some advice that I would give myself is, do not panic and take things easy. Applications for colleges and universities are around the corner and the need to have everything done on time will be stressful, give yourself some time off to adjusting to an accumulating period of time and effort. Time is precious but so is my health, relax and ask for help in hard times,
In the second semester of my freshman year and for the first semester of my sophomore year, I have many goals that I would like to accomplish. In one year, I want to have most (if not all) of my academic, personal, and agriculture related goals achieved that I made for myself. This time period not only allows more time to achieve other goals that I made, but it also will show me who much I grew over the year.
Just this year thousands of kids started their freshman year of college here at NIU. Like many, I was terrified, but instead of letting my fear get to me, I used it to fuel my confidence instead. That is my belief, that instead of hiding when you are afraid, you should use the fear of the unknown and turn it into a reason to experience more.
A humanly fear is when everything is going great in your life, you're healthy, losing weight, in a first new relationship, a star player in the outfield varsity team and just simply having the best highlight of my junior year in high school. Everything seemed to be going great, amazing! Then suddenly i start to feel really ill.
