“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” -Nelson Mandela. School can be stressful at times, even in elementary when all you wanted to do is play and forget about homework. However, as the person started growing up they realized that school is a responsibility and it is very important to go far in life. Freshman year can be a important year due to a new experience, coming of age, and it brings awareness of what will happen in the years to come. Nevertheless, senior year is equally, if not more important because it is the year you would prepare for ACT and SAT, apply for colleges, and to anticipate graduating. For instance, in the article “SAT/ ACT Prep Online Guides and Tips” created by Prepscholar, it states “Your Act score is how colleges compare you to other applicants,” What this quote is trying to say is that these scores are what make you stand out from all other applicants. Furthermore, it helps colleges know how you are doing, wich makes this test important because you have pressure on you to have a decent or good score. Additionally , in the article “ How to study for the ACT Or SAT” created by the Princeton Review, it states “Start early. In fact, we recommend starting your test prep the summer between sophomore and junior year.” …show more content…
In addition, to writing and filling out these papers people still have to plan how they are going to pay for their dorms ( if they are living on campus) and their school tuition. Also you need to figure out transportation, clases, and an optional tutoring
Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. Keep talking to him, don’t let him get away from you. You have had it tough this year, but by the end of the year you didn’t let anything affect you. Your grades were A’s and B’s all year. You made some amazing new friends like, Chandler, Clayton Ecker, Collin and more boys
I was very excited to start my junior year of college. I had a great year my second and third year and now was excited to see my friends, play soccer and work hard to improve my grades like always. I am m not very proud that I end my junior semester year with a 2.5 GPA. This was my hardest semester because I change my major from Physical Education to Business Administration.
Sophomore year had ended, and my summer had just begun. After a long wait to gain permission to go on a backpacking trip. My father gave me the approval. I took my love for the outdoors and began to explore it even more.
Even though some people have a belief that teens should “mature”, or graduate high school before they are able to legally drive without adult supervision, I strongly disagree on account of the following reasons.
Do you think that seniors should be allowed to skip senior year of highschool? Is senior year unproductive and not as educational as the previous years of high school? Is skipping senior year and going straight to college the best for the students.
My first day of senior year had been just like every other year, except my schedule was very basic. The goals I had in mind were mainly outside of my time in school. I had been taking college courses online to better prepare myself for college and to eliminate costs in classes, so I had to make sure I passed all of them. Another goal had been to save money from my job to accomplish personal goals after I exit high school.
Senior year of high school is finally here. I am quite nervous about this year and especially what follows throughout the year. Most seniors in high school are excited for the year and have a plan and just know what they are going to do when they graduate. But honestly, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I'm just worried about today, and my health, and lifestyle and just trying to make my senior year a great year.
As I am entering my senior year everyone has told me to make sure and slow down because it will be over before I know it. This year I want to learn how to build a strong support group for my emotional well being and grow closer with new people. I am striving to try and make the most of my senior year, so God will prepare me for the upcoming years.
If someone ask me what is my favorite memories in high school for now. I’ll says that is my sophomore year. Because sophomore year is the year that changed my mind and my life, the year that I meet my awesome friend and everyone look at me a different way and here is what happened to my sophomore year.
Time flies. I will soon finish high school and move to college. The first semester of senior year is the most important period during my life, but I still have a Dragon I need to beat. The Dragon is called Procrastination. He has troubled me for my whole life, and I have never killed him before. During my senior year, I have to try to combat him, beat him, and destroy him.
This year in Student Government has been a great time. All of our hard work and commitment has definitely reflected in our success and outcomes of our events. I have learned so much in such a short time. Since I have more experience now from Freshman year, I am eager for what is to come my Sophomore year. In order for this next year to be as rewarding as this past one, there are a few things I think we should do to make the transition of a new teacher as smooth as possible. I think if we adjust the commissioner jobs, are open to new ideas brought by our new teacher, and have specific goals set at our summer meeting, we will have no problem staying on track next year.
My senior year is coming to an end, high school is pretty much over. With the finish line quickly approaching, I reflect on all the things I’ve done in these past four years and, more importantly, all the things I did not do in the past four years that I probably should have. In retrospect, I never did feel like high school was going to be where the best time of my life would be remembered, but now that it’s pretty much over I think maybe I should have treated it like it was. I would love to be able to say there is nothing I didn’t do that I wanted to and that I didn’t have any regrets, but there is a fair share of both. When I think too much about the end, I get sentimental about the experiences, friends, laughs, awkward moments, and more.
Freshman year is not to be taken lightly. When teachers and staff tell you that freshman year is a crucial part of high school, they mean it. Students who dive into freshman year with the notion that it’s insignificant because it’s the first year of high school are alarmed at the effect it has on their following years. The years following grade nine are almost entirely determined by your achievements and effort during freshman year. How you grow and progress will define what classes you take in your sophomore, junior, and senior year at Durfee, and what kind of opportunities become available to you.
Freshman year is looked at as if it will be the hardest time of anyone’s life. Being a new freshman can be a pretty scary thing, but there are some upsides to it. You get to meet new people, play high school sports, join all kinds of clubs, and many other things. Being a Freshman is not as hard as society makes it out to be. I found that if you work hard, balance your extra curricular activities with your school work, and stay organized, you will find that freshman year is actually no different from any other.
As everyone knows, freshman year can be very rough. Last year, i learned that the hard way. Over the Course of time, I learned a lot. It all started When i was the typical, naive freshman girl, and started to give into pressure, and started to go downhill and pushed myself towards the wrong path. I was so young, and so stupid, little did I know it’d lead into a year and a half of self destructive behavior and tendencies.
