Senior project, the highlight of senior year. An event that most look forward to in hopes to gain experience with a project of their choice. An opportunity for students to use a skill set that they have acquired throughout their high school careers and apply it to their passions. When I initially began planning for my personal senior project, I had so many things going on in my mind as to what I would like to complete that I didn’t even know where to start! Initially, I wanted to learn and gain experience with welding. Then, over the summer prior to senior year, my father and I traveled up north to visit old friends and spent quite some time out on the sea. I developed a passion for sailing and our family-friends sea adventure stories and hoped …show more content…
With BMW's successes in the late 1980's DTM European touring car championships, drivers such as Roberto Ravaglia pushed their boxy wheel flared machines to ultimate victories. Many films have been made celebrating the successes of the BMW M team Kissing walls and cutting the apex of turns in 1989. Being a cult classic, the e30 m3’s are raising drastically in price. Just ten years back or so, one was able to find one for under fifteen thousand dollars. Today, finding a rust free example would fetch over forty thousand. Their prices are claiming, and I obviously couldn't afford the average tag on a student budget. However, what I could afford after I sold the Subaru, was its little brother; a BMW 325is. The BMW 3 series from 1984 to 1991 housed the same chassis, similar suspension work, and shared many parts as the m3, but lost the box flares, boot wing, independent throttle bodies, and a few other changes in hopes to civilize the design. My goal for senior project was to adapt the knowledge I have gained from working on the Subaru, and learn a new breed of car. I would be taking on the challenge of restoring and modifying a BMW e30 to fit my taste and desire, commonly known as a “Resto-mod”. I wanted to not only get it in tip top shape, but build a car for myself that would fulfill my needs. This would be a challenge I would take on whole heartedly for the next six months; spending countless hours up late scouring internet …show more content…
Now much less of a car, rather an investment that someone can chuck around a corner with the biggest grin on their face. Like the m3, the lower end e30's are also climbing the classic car “tax” mountain. The bottom end range for an e30 325e or 318 could be under $500 if you have the right connections. However, it probably won't be running and would be a waste of your money. The real value lies in the 325i/is and the 318is, where a pristine coupe could go for as much as ten thousand dollars. I knew that I wanted a sportier, more powerful model since I had a background with a fairly quick car, so I had to go with the 6 cylinder "i" motor with a manual gearbox. I also knew that I'd like a post 1988 "late model" which featured plastic bumpers versus the older style metal "diving board" bumpers. I wanted it to be a two door coupe and refrain from purchasing a car in the ugly bronze color available in the 80's. I had been searching for over a month as near as San Francisco to as far as Arizona, checking craigslist nightly with no luck. My high standards and picky laundry list of needs were no match for the generic, subpar advertisements for trashy cars that craigslist has become infamous for. Thinking back to when I had my first car, I was a member of an online Subaru forum where members would sell parts, talk tech, share events, and ask questions. Surely there had to be something similar for the e30! I
Don’t totally embrace factory components as the only upgrade option. With that in mind, support and streamline custom-built aftermarket products to modernize your vehicle. When it comes to updating the interior and exterior of your Chrysler 300, be careful to overindulge. A dash of some of the suggestions above is all you need to refresh or transform your vehicle. In the end, modernizing your Chrysler 300 is not a permanent affair. Rightfully so, new ideas and new concepts constantly pop up every now and then. And as such, leave room for minor changes as you drive
Out of all the cars made today most people still love to restore old classics, and in my opinion there is none better than the 1969 Chevy Camaro SS. With a factory engine in either a 327 or 350, it was a true muscle car of its era. I would love to be able to rebuild one of these cars, I would paint it burnt orange and have black racing stripes. There is so much that could be said about this car but the fact that it is still one of the most sought after classic muscle cars says it all.
Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. Keep talking to him, don’t let him get away from you. You have had it tough this year, but by the end of the year you didn’t let anything affect you. Your grades were A’s and B’s all year. You made some amazing new friends like, Chandler, Clayton Ecker, Collin and more boys
I was very excited to start my junior year of college. I had a great year my second and third year and now was excited to see my friends, play soccer and work hard to improve my grades like always. I am m not very proud that I end my junior semester year with a 2.5 GPA. This was my hardest semester because I change my major from Physical Education to Business Administration.
Sophomore year had ended, and my summer had just begun. After a long wait to gain permission to go on a backpacking trip. My father gave me the approval. I took my love for the outdoors and began to explore it even more.
I cant believe that I am finally a senior in high school it seems just like yesterday I was beginning high school. As I begin my final year I am beginning to realize that this year I will be faced with many responsibilities and will make tons of memories. But I hope that I am able to make my senior year the best yet. Through this final year I hope to have passing grades in all of my classes, to win pep rallies, and to have perfect attendance.
Do you think that seniors should be allowed to skip senior year of highschool? Is senior year unproductive and not as educational as the previous years of high school? Is skipping senior year and going straight to college the best for the students.
Senior year of high school is finally here. I am quite nervous about this year and especially what follows throughout the year. Most seniors in high school are excited for the year and have a plan and just know what they are going to do when they graduate. But honestly, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I'm just worried about today, and my health, and lifestyle and just trying to make my senior year a great year.
Koenigsegg Agera R, McLaren F1, Bugatti Veyron SS and Lamborghini Veneno. These are some of the best, most flashiest super cars out there, and cars that are the subject of envy among many. And who can blame these guys? These supercars that have defined a generation are known for their shocking sticker prices, thus making them status symbols, they move from 0 to 60 mph in a zip, and they get attention and any time, anywhere especially for local Casanovas. Because these trimmings and promises, many people dream about owning and driving a McLaren, a Koegnisegg or Lamborghini and enjoy the magical ride. But is it worth the hype, the attention and your time?
My senior year is coming to an end, high school is pretty much over. With the finish line quickly approaching, I reflect on all the things I’ve done in these past four years and, more importantly, all the things I did not do in the past four years that I probably should have. In retrospect, I never did feel like high school was going to be where the best time of my life would be remembered, but now that it’s pretty much over I think maybe I should have treated it like it was. I would love to be able to say there is nothing I didn’t do that I wanted to and that I didn’t have any regrets, but there is a fair share of both. When I think too much about the end, I get sentimental about the experiences, friends, laughs, awkward moments, and more.
Senior year of high school is often thought of—by many older people—as the year you slack off and take easy classes. Well, why not? I mean, they’ve worked hard to get here, so why not go easy on yourself, as a reward. Contrary to the belief of those people, senior year is when you should be taking the most challenging classes in order to be prepared for college coursework.
If BMW is the car you've always set sights on, it is essential to consider certain factors, which will enable you to get the best
Freshman year has got to be the craziest year out of all of highschool. Seeing some of your closest friends go to a different school then you. Going into a new bigger school unaware of your surroundings. And Making and hanging out with new friends and teammates. The first day in high school in my freshman year i had no idea where i was going or where my classes were. The building looked big outside and even bigger on the inside. Everyone looked older and taller, even the girls. We actually got to text and have our phones out in the hallways. I heard tons of myths about high school. One was to never eat at lunch alone because people would think you were weird or a lame. Another one i heard was if you're going to be late you might as well be extra late and go get
Introduction: It has always been the desire of BMW to create automobiles of unmistakable identity. As you can see by the price of one, this has posed no problem to them over the last eight decades. But what you cannot see is the one thing that has always been true about BMW automobiles both in the past as well as in the present: a BMW is always "the ultimate driving machine".
To the casual observer, the BMW Z8 looks like a 1960s roadster, its swoopy retro-esque lines belying the fact that it first saw light of day in 1999. BMW wanted to create a car to celebrate the turn of the millennium, bringing together its past and future in one design. Therefore the aluminium bodied Z8 draws heavily from Z07 concept car seen only a few years earlier at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show, which in turn pays homage to the original BMW 507 from the 1950s. The car was met with great excitement by both the motoring press and customers alike, an appearance in the James Bond movie, The World is Not Enough cemented its place as a desirable exotic.
