The dark air began to weep as he sat there and faced the ordinary gravestone. Mother nature seemed to feel the pain that rocked deep in his bones every minute of everyday. The whistling and russling of the air as the leaves jumped through the cemetery rang in his ears. “Huh.” he snickered. Ash of the thick cigar fell fiercely towards the stone. “You know, those things will kill you.” A female voice snickered from the darkness.
“Ah, you can’t even leave me be on the anniversary of their deaths, can you?” He snapped. A slender figure appeared in the moonlight. She wore black leather pants that conformed to her legs, showing skinny, but strong legs. An equally hugging black top clung to her upper body. Cherry red nails shinned in the white light as she moved her hands to whisk back her long, silky black hair. Next to her sat a creature that barely looked human. Bald and wrinkly, this man squatted near her with a flashing smile on his face. Big, bold brown eye looked up and cowarded at the sight of a massive man. Kai

The women was Davina Edwards, a daughter of one of the most hideous thugs the city had the unlucky pleasure of having, Doug “The Devil” Edwards. Rumors say that this man would call his enemies forward and make them beg for their souls, or rather their life. He would burn them alive if they dared cross him. The Devil was number one of Kai’s hitlist. However, Davina has intervened, causing Kai to second guess his
Although serial killers come in all shapes and sizes, there is a general profile that criminologists go by when trying to profile a criminal. The typical serial killer is a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, kills within his own race, his targeted victims share specific characteristics, and his method of murder is “hands on” in means of strangulation. The types of serial killers include visionaries, missionaries, lust killers, thrill killers, gain killers, and power seekers. Depending on the type of serial killer, their profile may change; for example, certain clues from missionary-type killers can help decide their religious affiliation. Also, certain types of serial killers may generally have different age groups. Most serial
The term serial killers has never really been defined until roughly 1998 when congress passes a Children Protection act from Sexual Predator Act of 1998. This Act defined serial killers as a series of at least three or more killings. However because of the definition of serial killers, they often get confused between serial killers and a spree murder. The Difference is that spree murderers often get killed or seriously killed, however spree murderers have also killed themselves. Although serial killers are extremely rare event that is estimated to constitute for less than 1% of all murders committed. Serial killers mostly kill over a time period killing more than three victims, however many serial killers often get arrest or never get caught.
To begin, one must understand a serial killers background to get an understanding of how childhood trauma could lead to their need to kill. Although there are no exact factors that would absolutely cause a child to grow up into a serial killer, research found by Laurence Miller in “Serial killers: II. Development, Dynamics, and Forensics,” suggest that there are several common factors found in multiple serial killers’ childhoods. For example, some of the leading childhood characteristics found among serial killers include being adopted, being the sons of a prostitute, and have underwent sever physical or sexual abuse (Miller, 2013, p.13). This demonstrates that such experiences, at a young age, can be very traumatic and create this need of comfort that most serial killers satisfy through the murdering of multiple innocent individuals. However, the most shocking yet prevalent form of abuse comes from the mothers. This can be noted as Miller states that an increasing amount of serial killers had, “…intensely ambivalent, smothering relationships with their mothers that were characterized by both maternal abuse and sexual attraction to the mother (Miller, 2013, p.13). Miller also noted that many of these individuals came from dysfunctional families that indeed had a history of either psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, or legal problems (Miller, 2013, p.13). With such information, one begins to understand where these individuals turned cold but even then, nothing justifies
According to an FBI study, “there have been approximately 400 serial killers in the United States in the past century, with anywhere from 2,526 to 3,860 victims (Hickey). No one really understands serial killers. It is actually quite difficult to comprehend how the mind of a serial killer works. Some believe that a serial killer feels strongly attracted by a specific physical characteristic in the victim. It could be his or her appearance: facial features, clothes, or even personality. On the other hand, many individuals believe the connection is within an ethnic group, gender, or age. As for serial killers not only do psychological components contribute to their upbringing but also the environmental atmosphere. Although society is intrigued by the so-called celebrity monster the prevalent information and media coverage is accountable for the real-life serial killer transfiguration.
It’s hard for me to produce a humorous essay without delving too deep into philosophical matter. Often criminals make all kinds of mistakes resulting in getting arrested. That’s because they relied more on their impulses rather than their heads. As a result of their bad judgment they wind up in penitentiary.
Are the majority of sexual serial killers white males, between their twenties and thirties? Do they have an above average intelligence and psychiatric diagnoses? The authors expected outcome for this research is to prove these questions correct, using a a case study of twenty-one male serial killers.
The concept of the psychopathic personality originated in the early nineteenth century with the research of J. C. Prichard, who formulated the notion of “moral insanity” to refer to a number of mental deficiencies that led to violent or undesired behaviors.
Some can say killing is a form of art. For serial killer, that’s how they see it. They plan the kill and how the event will unfold. Serial killers always have some type of childhood trauma that takes over their mind sets. The mind set a killer is unstable, meaning they don’t have full control of themselves. In my essay, I'll further exam the act of a serial killer.
We shape our lives with our behaviour and our day to day interactions with the people around us. What we commonly forget is that many of the people we interact with change their behaviour depending on who they are around without realizing it. For example, a person you work with could present themselves in one way, but if you were to encounter them with a group of friends they may act differently. While this is the case for many and possesses no threat of danger; this is not the case when it comes to serial killers. In those rare cases, this behaviour of acting differently depending on who they are with can quickly turn deviant if the person in question is searching for their next victim.
I am infatuated with Ana. I met her when I first moved from England to America and she was one of the first to meet me. She has beautiful white-blonde hair and prepossessing blue eyes and skin so ghastly pale. But most importantly Ana is a ghost. In Colorado I lived on a mountain called Lookout Mountain which is absolutely breathtaking and a popular tourist place but what I had never known is that there has been an abundance of murders there. At night my dad and I took a walk around the mountain and as we reached the top we stopped to take a picture. In the photo you could see ragged blonde hair draped over my right shoulder which clearly was neither mine or my dads and nobody else was visibly there. Terrified, we start running back to the house.
What drives the killer? Is it his genetics or is it something from his past? The answers is presented as being as simple as black and white, but in reality what drives a serial killer is more of a gray area. It is a gray area because of every mind is different and every experiences is different. Most of the information used in identifying comes from family history and brain scans. Dr. Raine one of the world's leading criminologists has been studying the mind of killers for many years. One of the main ways he studies the brain is through brain scans. Dr. Raine stated in his paper entitled The Criminal Mind, “Those who plan their homicides, like serial killers, tend to have good prefrontal functioning...In 2009, Yaling Yang, Robert Schug and
Are serial killers born with genes that play a part in their killing tendencies, or do serial killers because murderous because of their surroundings as kids? Before we can understand that it is important to know the difference between a one-time killer and a serial killer. Are most serial killers male, or female? Study shows that more males are serial killers than females, and that their motives are way different (Johnston,2012). That doesn’t really tell us the answer to the original question now does it? But the thing is there is no definite answer, because as we all know there are two sides to every story. I’m here to tell you what I believe is the answer and what examples I have to back it up.
Interviewer: Although these women are sentenced 10–20 years is there a possibilities they are able to commit these crimes again when released?
I like that you have seen the show in its entirety because your perspective was more knowledgable of the event and circumstances then mine own. I think it's interesting that this particular serial killer is never mentioned in the show because with this knowledge it makes the transmedia assessment slightly easier for me. I think it falls under chewy and east coast especially since the ARG to my knowledge was deactivated before the premier of the show. Either way, as you suggest, I think it wouldn't have been as big of a success without the notoriety of the show.
It was a very clear night the night that the occurrence happened the full moon staring right through me as if it was a serial killer stalking, waiting for its next victim to pounce on. But nonetheless my stupid self went out there anyways.Call it what you will,I may have wanted social acceptance or you could say that it was stupidity that led me there that night but whatever it was it sure saved us.
