While everyone generally knows that fast food is not good for their health, however people still eat it for various reasons. Most people that buy fast food have low incomes, are uneducated, and/or are people just trying to save a couple of bucks. Most people trying to save money are buying fast food and it is costing their health in the long run. This will eventually end up costing people even more money.

Some schools order fast food. The reason why some schools eat fast food is because they don’t have enough teachers or time to cook. The students will be use to eating school lunch than fast foods. Fast food caries more calories than school lunch.

In America almost two thirds of the nation is overweight. That is about 79.6 million people who are obese. Fast food is without a doubt the problem why these statistics are so high. Fast food has a harmful effect on society because it can cause obesity. The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry believes obesity “Overweight children are much more likely to become overweight adults unless they adopt and maintain healthier patterns of eating and exercise.” (parag. 1).The causing and treating of obesity is complex but it is the most recognizable disease. If you were offered McDonald's or Subway during school, what would you say? Duh, you would say yes. Rather than that nasty cafeteria meat, which you don't even know what animal it comes from. Or those nasty cardboard mozzarella cheese sticks, no thanks. I would rather eat fast food, and know where my food comes from. Saying schools lunch is spectacular, is like saying I hate chocolate.

In Schools all over the state, students complain about the quality of school lunches. As a result, many schools have decided to let fast food restaurants like Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Pizza hut into their school's cafeteria. This was an extremely bad idea. I think schools should allow fast foods options to be sold at school because students should be allowed to decide what they eat and can less food and money can be wasted.

They sell the fast food just to make money and do not regard the health of the students and teachers. While others believe that schools should be able to sell fast food. They believe that the schools do in fact care about the health of the students and teachers. The schools that sell fast food obtain more money the state doesn't provide for them. The eighty percent of schools make seventy five percent more money than the twenty percent of schools that do not sell fast food.

According to Ohio State University and University of Texas researchers, students who ate more fast food had test scores that were 20% lower than those who didn't eat any fast food. Lead Author of the study, Kelly Purtell believes that this can provide evidence that fast food consumption is to blame for the deleterious academic outcomes of children.

Fast food has become a significant staple of American culture and has increased dramatically over the past three decades. In the most recent years, fast food chain’s growth has skyrocket. An industry that begun as a simple hot dog and burger stand has spread to any location paying customers can be spotted. Having a healthy diet have long term benefits such as weight loss, better sleep pattern, a lower risk of diseases…etc. For most people fast food has become a necessity due to their fast paced lives. Although food is an essential part of our dietary system and gives us energy and fuel our bodies need, it also has a down fall. Food has been responsible for countless deaths and diseases because of the manipulation that fast food companies has made to their menu items. The manipulations and developments of fast food companies has not only increased obesity rate amongst children but has cause those children to suffer from lifelong health problems. Although fast food grants our desire for instant gratification, Grade school should eliminate the regular consumption of fast food diet from lunch menus to prevent health issues among children such as obesity, heart disease, behavioral problems.

Having fast foods at school has two sides a great one and a poor one the nice one is that the kids wouldn’t want to miss school there would probably be one hundred percent of attendance if there was fast foods at school. Another, great reason why school should have fast foods is because the school can make a little more money by having fast foods.
