I’ve never been the kid to have a lot of friends, but my all time favorite friend is Shauna Golec. Shauna is my best friend because I can talk to her about anything. Shauna and I have known each other for close to four years now, we weren't best friends until last year. Shauna tries to help me in every way possible, and every problem I have. When I was getting bullied Shauna was the one that helped me and actually the only one that helped me. Shauna’s friendship is important because with out her I don't know what I would do. My mom is always busy and my step parents don't really help me. My dad is the only family member that I can talk to, but I rarely get to see him anymore. So the only person left is Shauna. The qualities that make this friendship

When people think of Oklahoma, they usually think about flatlands and waving wheat. The thought of terrorism would never come into mind. This is exactly what the people of Oklahoma City would’ve been thinking if asked about terrorism. Sadly, on the day of April 19, 1995, Oklahoma and the nation was shocked as the unthinkable happened. The rest of the world stood still, and watched as people were rushed from the building. Families received information about their loved ones, and soon learned that they were no longer living. Parents were also sickened by the fact that their children would never be able to go to daycare again. As for the man in charge of this operation, his slow but authorized death was watched by families and friends of the victims. The rest of the nation should’ve been able to view this great punishment along with the families who were affected.

Everyday life is great at making you who you are or what you have become. It is amazing how one choice or event can change someones life. This is especially true when it comes to the Vietnam War. There were so many lives that changed during this time. The Vietnam War brought us the end of the draft and instated a volunteer army which we still have to this day. This war also helped give the right for 18 year olds to vote which was a big help to Nixon’s second term as president. With this said the Vietnam War has greatly affected America and Tim O’Brien is one of those people. When most people think of their childhood they remember fond memories of traditions they had with friends and family, such as Christmas Eve or something as simple as a family game night. Many of these traditions are carried down through generations and have a significant role in communities and teaching youth important values. These traditions shape our culture and allow us to generalize a country or area by simply listing off common traditions. However, it seems as though the values these traditions teach, both religious and social, seem to be evolving to fit an ever changing and more connected modern world. The question that remains, however, is if these values are evolving fast enough for a more forward thinking generation. Many would say
Friendship is an essential part of life to everyone. To me, I interact with my friends closely everyday, we chat, we play around, and we work together on homework. For teenagers like us, we like to interact with friends, with people at our age. Without friends, we won’t be able to do anything.
