My attitude about writing is quite positive because writing places your thoughts in front of you. This attitude comes from my mental attitude. My past writing experiences were English, Writing, Composition, Communication. Taken those courses helped me build confidence in both writing and communicating. During those courses I've wrote Haiku's, Biographies, Persuasive, Narrative, and many more specific papers. I love to read, except chapter books because i feel I rather watch a movie. I read Sports Magazine and articles for pleasure, such as: Sports Illustrated, ESPN, The Vertical, Players' Tribune. Also, fashion and music magazines, such as: GQ and GQ music. I personally prefer to write with soft music in the background, usually with my legs
Luckily for me, writing doesn’t require any of those traits. All anyone needs to be a writer is inspiration, and the ability to transpose their thoughts to a written language. Personally I find it much easier to describe a picture, than it is to create mirror image, for the world to see. But in spite
Firstly, when it comes to my strengths in writing, I do not believe I carry many. Of the few I possess, my word selection is a constant advantage for me. I try not to settle for undereducated vocabulary. I see this as taking the easy way out and I do not believe I learn from this. Another one of my strengths when it comes to writing is my adequate spelling. Accurate spelling is strongly in my nature. When I am reading I can sense when a word is spelled incorrectly. My final strength in writing is organization. I believe my work is clear to follow. This is important so I can get my message across to my reader. Although I am solid in these aspects of my writing, they
I believe that one of my greatest strengths when I write is how well I can clearly comprehend a prompt, and answer it correctly and thoroughly. I take time to think about what I am going to write, and structure it well. Along with structuring my writing, my use of vocabulary
Although my writing doesn't sound smart i do think I have a very creative mind and because if that i can type or write a story or a paper pretty quickly.
I have some strengths and weaknesses as a writer that I am aware of, but honestly it is not an easy task for me. My only strength in writing is my thought process, not the actual writing itself. I have never considered myself to be good in the subject of writing, but I always try my best.
I received my writing abilities from my family, specifically the women’s side of my mom’s side of the family. Throughout the years writing had been a way for me to bond with my mother. Considering that we both shared the ability, any
I thoroughly enjoy writing so I feel confident in my writing ability. One of my high school teachers had told me that I am a gifted writer and my writing has a lot of voice in it. The only things I have found that I struggle with when it comes to writing is grammar and transitions between paragraphs. My reading ability is just as strong as my writing ability, although I do not enjoy reading nearly as much as I enjoy writing.
My greatest assets as a writer are proofreading and research. I have a wide area of interests and it’s hard for me to decide which thing I would like to write about. I love to research and study politics, and coming from Alabama I have a front row seat to one of the most corrupt governing bodies in the United States. Another thing that all Bama people know about is college football. I started following the games in elementary school and they are as much a part of my life as any comic or book I have ever read. My greatest interest is writing for comics. Since I was a small boy I have gravitated to the world of superheroes and super villains. I enjoy taking a character and making them fight an injustice or stand up for a cause. The best characters always have a mountain to climb; I enjoy putting higher and higher peaks on that mountain.
I’m a persistent person, which means that I have the willingness to dwell with particular tasks until I found it satisfactory. I can spend a lot of time to do researches before I begin to writing. I have to make sure that I already read adequate resources and really understand about the topic that I want to write. Furthermore, it helps me to gain interest in the
One skill that I have as a writer that I think is my strong suit is being able to think creatively. In my opinion fiction writing is one of the best type of writing there is. For me it’s easy. I can use my own ideas and think of some crazy plots and twist within the story. I’ve written stories before right off the top of my head, like it was just a second nature.
First and foremost I would like to introduce myself, my name is Jordan Kaufman, and I am very excited for the 2015-2016 school year. For me English has been one of my stronger subjects, as it comes natural, and is something I enjoy. For my strengths, I would say I become a better writer when I can relate the topic back to the world. I really enjoy writing when I can relate it back to my life. As for my weaknesses in writing, I find that I have a harder time trying to stick to a side in argumentative essays, because I can’t chose a side I can write about or the topic I find isn’t necessarily interesting.
My strengths as a writer are: I love to do research and create outlines. I absolutely enjoy to learn about anything, whether it is something I know or like, or if it is something I don’t even know what it is. Obviously, technology these days make it a lot easier to find anything you ever wanted to know about something. I can always find enough references through research to write any paper. I also really like doing the outlines to a paper. I can do a main topic and all that follows very easily and know where to put everything in my outline to make the paper flow and stay interesting.
I can also write fluently, accurately and legibly on a range of topics. I use spelling and punctuation accurately in order to make meaning clear.
Writing is a skill that takes time to develop. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is very important. Being aware of your strengths can help you stand out, and your weaknesses show you areas where improvement is needed. Like everybody I have weaknesses as well as strengths, and being conscious of them helped me improve my writing skills.
