Taking the work of Walter Mosley and Sir Conan Doyle, we can see that the protagonists live in distinct worlds. We have Easy Rawlins from “Devil in a Blue Dress” by Mosley. Easy is a former veteran of The Second World War, he lives in the segregated part of L.A where he struggles to pay off his house mortgage. He takes on a job offered by Mr. Albright to look for a woman, turning his peaceful life upside down. We also have Sherlock Holmes from “The Sign of Four” by Doyle. Holmes is an exceptional detective who can notice little details that can get him a big win for his case. In crime fiction, we have a perfect world, where the detective, in this case Holmes, has the power to access any resources needed and the imperfect world in which the
No matter how well Holmes and Watson get along, they both seem to “get” each other in difficult times of crime solving. Watson and Holmes compliment each other when it comes to crime solving. Watson thinks of things in a different way than Holmes does, and vice-versa.
Sherlock Holmes is an incredibly intelligent man. He has seen uncountable mysterious criminal cases and been the only man capable of solving it. I believe this gives him the experience necessary to declare who would make the best criminal. Holmes stated that "Doctors make the best criminals" at the conclusion of The Adventure of Speckled Band By Arthur Conan Doyle. It is entirely realistic that Holmes can make this conclusive statement because he is a well known detective whom has a lot of experience with criminals.
There’s an eerie silence as dawn draws closer in the Whitechapel District of London. A sudden scream cuts through the night like a knife cuts through butter. Jack the Ripper had claimed his first victim. As the police scrambled to find the criminal, Sherlock Holmes made a stunning entrance into the minds of Victorian Era readers. His ahead of the time methods and purely scientific ways of solving crime captivated audiences and showed up the current police force. Although Sherlock Holmes, a fictional figment of Sir. Conan Doyle’s imagination that kick-started a revolution in detective work and Michael Cordero, a fan favorite who rose to fame through the CW show, Jane the Virgin utilize a few of the same methods, their personalities and overall approach to criminal investigation differ greatly. However, they are both amply supplied with the skills and experience to successfully solve criminal cases.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a British physician and writer, mostly well known for his stories “Sherlock Holmes”, which are generally in the field of crime fiction. He was a prolific writer whose other works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays and romances, poetry, and non-fiction.
The legendary fictional character Sherlock Holmes was constructed by a basis of a French criminal expert and a famous police investigator. He is known for his prowess in perception and analysis. On the other hand, Holmes sympathy towards people is near absent. Holmes loves to breakdown the story of each person he comes in contact with it. However, he does make a mistake occasionally. Although, there are many positive representations of Holmes, the Downey-Holmes is the best.
Sherlock Holmes is a character created by British author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock is a legendary detective who solves even the most baffling and meticulously puzzled cases with astute observation, abductive reasoning and with little to no people skills. As a "consulting detective," he favors reason and logic above all else and rarely makes personal attachments beyond those that benefit him. He calls himself a "high functioning sociopath" because he does not make any acquaintance or understand emotions very well, beyond what can be studied.

There are groups called LGBT groups which in other words are lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders. LBG's have fought for their rights for years and were accepted in serving in the year 1993 under President Bill’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Act”, (DADT). The act never allowed transgenders to serve, which was the only group that was not taken part of the act. In the year 2016, former President Obama reversed the rules and allowed transgenders to start serving the military. That did not last too long after the newest in office President Trump has once again banned transgenders from serving completely and his words were:
Sedentary living is one of the biggest obstacles public education is facing right now. In fact, according to Nilofer Merchant, a board member for both public and private boards, and a professor at Stanford University, “Sitting is the smoking of our generation” (Merchant). To combat this issue, gym class has been implemented nationwide. Gym class is one of those courses every student must take at some point, but never enjoys. For a while now, students and parents alike have argued against the course, but is it more beneficial than they may realize? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Children and adolescents should do 60 minutes (1 hour) or more of physical activity each day,” something many children are unable to achieve otherwise (Centers). From its educational aspects, about both the individual student and about healthy living, to its required exercise components, gym class should continue to be mandatory for all students.
