After experiencing a stay at the house in Charlottesville, I’d say that the title fits. The house in Charlottesville was really amazing. It was a large four story house with a huge backyard that had a privacy fence around it. When you walk into the house you are in a foyer where there are quilts hanging that have been made especially for the Ronald McDonald House of the foyer there are offices discreetly placed so that they do not take away from the feeling of home. The kitchen is huge with tables at both ends and counters on both side walls with sinks and dishwashers, coffee makers, toasters, and microwaves. In the middle is a huge island with stools on both ends and stoves on both sides of the island. There are always two or three bowls on the island filled with quick snacks. There is a huge deck off of the kitchen with a gas grill and tables and chairs. There is a quiet room off of the kitchen, it consists of a real fireplace and a computer, and it is so much like a home living-room. The two floors above the kitchen is where the bed rooms are located each room has a queen size.bed and a twin size trundle bed where two can sleep. For every two bedrooms there is a bathroom between them. Down in the basement is a large family room with a big screen television and a large play area with everything possible for children to have

The west façade of the house will be facing the Botanical gardens to be able to enjoy the view. Another addition to the house will be a swimming pool. The pool will keep with the theme of being connected to the outdoors and to be able to cool down on those hot summer Oklahoma days. The pool will be constructed on the northern side of the house. There will be a door added to the north side of the house to access the pool. The doors that are going to be added will be tall sliding glass doors to give the feeling of being outdoor while you are actually indoors. The last addition to the house will be a breakfast nook on the opposite side of the tall sliding glass doors, since the crossing of the transept is the dining room. The dining room has a table that seats six, and a tall cabinet containing dried and canned foods. The kitchen has a refrigerator, a dishwasher, microwave, and lots of counter, and cabinet space. Out of the kitchen is the main hallway which is tiled. Leading up the stairs to a full size bathroom and two bedrooms on the right on the left is the master bedroom and bath. The hallway bathroom is decorated in soft beige and red colors with simple wall hangings. The bedroom on the left is the bedroom of CED, the 5 year old daughter, and the bedroom on the right is the bedroom of LRD, the 3 year old son. Back down the stairs is the lower level. When you first go downstairs you see and big open family room that has a couch and two lazy boy recliners. The downstairs is all carpeted. To the immediate right is a second full bathroom and next to that is the master bedroom. Opposite the master bedroom is the fourth bedroom which was converted to a toy room for the children. The downstairs is where the family spends most of their time. There is a big screen television and there is a game station connected to the television. BAD has taken the time to child proof their home using child safety locks on all cabinets, and electrical outlet covers. The children have a lot of toys, and it seems they do not have a lot of storage, yet their home is kept very tidy.

It was a cold Friday evening, i was walking home from school and i heard a scream coming from my neighbors house. i walked up the drive and knocked on the door, but nobody answered. i slowly opened the door and creeped in.the house looked empty. i looked around and noticed a blood trail leading to the upstairs hallway. in the hallway there was a kitchen knife on the little corner stand by the stairs. i grabbed the knife just incase i got attaked. i heard crying coming from the other side of one of the upstairs doors. when i opened the door the first thing that i saw was a body lying on the floor and a young girl was hovering over it crying.She looked lke she was either 3 or4. The girl said “ i had to or he would have killed me.” i examoned

Sinclair Ross wrote the short story “The Painted Door” in 1939 for Queens Quarterly, a magazine, in Canada. Within the short story Ross emphasized the struggles of experienced by those on the 1930’s Post-Depression Canadian prairie. He does this by describing one day where a farmer named John makes the nineteen-mile march across the snow-covered hills to his father’s home, to make sure he is okay before the blizzard. Meanwhile John’s wife Ann is at home with their young neighbor Steven having dinner and playing cards. As the night wares on the two sleeps with one another and John, who has finally made it home, turns back out to face the blizzard and freezes to death. Through this harsh and realistic short story Ross highlights the importance of loyalty, sacrifice, isolation, and aging.

When we started to unpack our stuff we headed inside. I was amazed at the marble countertops and the modern, yet rustic look the building had on the inside. I also got a glimpse of a pretty cool looking espresso machine. There was also a built in oven that went into the wall, I personally think those are the best. My brother and I slept on the couch while my parents slept in the room next to us, with a much bigger bed.

The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what I want; it’s the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind.

It looks as if it’s the same size as a football field. . As you step in, you immediately sink a couple of inches because of how plush the caramel colored carpet is. The long glamorous chandler hangs from the high vaulted ceilings. Immediately to your left is a marble sink, with silver pull out fixtures and deep sink bowls. On the sink there is an automatic soap dispenser on the right and an automatic hand dryer on the left. Both made of sterling silver. The burnt orange and brown colors on the wall are so bright, it looks like the sun is shinning directly above the room. The walls are covered with many paintings. Some of famous artists that color the walls are Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Pablo Picasso. Many of the others are from unknown starving artist. To the far right of the room there is a solid wood bar hutch that looks as tall as an oak tree. Any drink that you can think of, is there in that bar.
