"I will answer your questions under one condition."

Aang whooped and flew 2 feet in the air with his fists raised high above his head. Zuko rolled his eyes at Aang's antics.

"Just answer some of my questions first," Zuko said. "Where are we and how did I get here?"

"I . . . um . . . I'm not sure where we are actually," Aang said sheepishly. "But I do know that we are not that far from Crescent Island."

"Right, so we are lost." Zuko grumbled under his breath.

"I wouldn't exactly say that we are lost-"

"Whatever, just tell me how I got here."

"I found you on the island, you were inside this huge rock in the volcano and you somehow broke out of it. And there was this bright light shooting out of the rock. And then I found you lying in the …show more content…

Great, now I'm stuck with an insane airbender. Zuko thought when he heard Aang's fantastical tale. He couldn't believe that such an unrealistic story could be spun from the airbender's mouth. How could anybody get stuck inside a volcano anyway? And how did the volcano even erupt? It's been dormant for years, so that seems unlikely as well. Unless . . . No, don't think about it.

And wait, did he say Crescent Island . . . "Can you take me back to the island?"

The airbender, feeling uncomfortable, shifted his weight from feet to feet. "I don't think that's a good idea. It's dangerous to go near an erupting volcano."

Zuko sighed, frustrated. "I just want to see it for myself."

"Alright, if you say so." Aang reluctantly agreed. "But we should eat something first, I'm starving, and I wouldn't be surprised if you were …show more content…

"Buckle up Zuko! Appa, yip yip!" Aang shouted as he snapped the reins. Appa gave a loud roar, swinging his tail up and down giving him enough momentum to soar into the sky. Aang looked back at Zuko, who stared in wonder at the beautiful view of the ocean and the island as they grew further away from both. "The view is amazing from up here, don't you think?"

A small smile tugged at the corner of Zuko's lips. "Yeah I guess it is."

Sensing that it was the end of the conversation, Aang left him alone to indulge himself on the view. One thing he learned during their lunch break is that Zuko was not much of a conversationalist so Aang decided to keep quiet . . . for now. After about half an hour, Aang could not keep it in any longer so he asked the one burning question that has haunted his mind. "Why are you taking that rock wherever you go?" Aang blurted out.

Zuko gave an exasperated sighed, amazed at how long the silence lasted and upset that it couldn't last any longer. "It's not a rock, it's a dragon egg."

"Really? I've never seen a dragon and I don't think anyone's seen one for a hundred years."

Zuko stared at the airbender like he grew another head. "What are you talking about? Dragons are everywhere in the Fire Nation, you can't miss
