Chapter 3……... I don’t trust them Cree ………... Cree said she did whatever the “thing” was, but I couldn’t stop thinking about what she said about me being one of “them”. One of what I thought I’m so confused I mean I’m just an ordinary kid right? Maybe not. Cree’s hand slipped from mine because of the arguing everyone was doing and I wanted to shut it all out and run but first I had to know what Cree ment. “Cree what do you mean I’m one of you?” she looked at me and said “You’re a caster like me and Emmie”. “What’s that?” I asked. “Someone with power to do a lot of things a normal person can’t.” “ Yeah powers someone should earn like the rest of us not be given for free Cree.” Emmie said. By then everyone wanted nothing to do with each …show more content…
“ Cree don’t you dare bring him here we don’t know if we can even trust all of them.” “Well I feel loved.” Dustin mumbled. Cree ignored Emmie and continued piling up the leafs and branches to do something that I’m guessing involves whatever a Foogle is. When she had finished she put her hand on the pile , started to whistle a small song and soon enough something less than a foot small shot out and hid behind the nearest tree scarring Abby, Hunter, and Dustin half to death. Cree walked over to the tree and bent down to whisper something to the small creature and as soon as she did the little guy walked out from behind the tree. It was so ugly that in a way it was really cute. He was only a foot tall with little stumps sticking out of his head and really big sad eyes. “His name is Fooglie and he’s my pet Foogle. Emmie has one too and her name is Rosie and if she loves me she’ll call for her to show you.” she smiled.

Emmie rolled her eyes and did the same thing except with rose petals that she made come out of nowhere. Pretty soon a cute little Foogle came out from under the petals holding a red rose and gave it to Cree then ran to Emmie holding her leg. Rosie was small too only about a foot tall same as Fooglie. She had wings little antanas and little hearts that stuck out of the top of her head. She was a cute little thing. “As you can tell,”Cree said, “they can be very she towards new people.” As soon as she said that Rosie and Fooglie
“He said he would protect us.” The child went back to organizing the flowers she gathered that day. A daisy was handed to her mother with a smile.
Hinton, an amiable tobacco planter in Virginia, inspected the mill infrequently and trusted him to make an honest trade. There was no way to forecast when loggers would arrive, depending on the weather and the wind and water currents so Matthew remained available year-round. He was tall, burley with bushy, red hair, and freckles that almost connected into a solidly tan face. People never forgot him because his freckles were such an assortment of colors, red, brown, tan, beige, pink, auburn, rust, black, and orange. He entertained visitors with stories of animals and men fighting themselves and each other along with spine-tingling stories about ghosts and Indians that intimidated the settlers. If they were true, it did not matter.
I sit at the kitchen table going over the eviction papers. But we have done nothing wrong I think in my head. My husband John paces beside me furrowing his brow. “I just don't understand. Why us? Why would they come after us?!” exclaims John.
“This is it,” Theron said, leaning against the holotable. Everything had been powered down and packed up. All that was left was to pile onto their ships and go their separate ways. Theron had a shuttle standing by, a simple, one-manned vessel to deliver him to his mother’s command ship.
She lured them into her delicious house made of desserts. The children were so excited about the house created by pure sugar that they did not pay attention to the witch’s intentions.” “The witch planned on eating the children after she ate every last piece of them all because they were not aware of their surroundings.” Ollie and Oscar began to laugh as loud as twenty sirens. “Oh Odette, don’t be paranoid, that story is a fib.” So Odette listened to Oscar and Ollie and began to sing once again. A few hours passed by and Odette had completely forgotten about her worry. Suddenly, Smokey ran up the tree quietly, but in a hurry. Smokey gulped Oscar and Ollie up in one bite. Before he could get to Odette who was sitting on the far end of the branch, she saw him and took flight. Odette said, “I knew I was right, I should have paid attention to my instincts and looked around better.” Odette found another tree to sit on, crying for the loss of her friends. But Odette didn’t realize that Smokey’s feast was not at an
There was a noticeable shift in temperature as the sun began its slow descent toward the horizon, the impending dusk transforming the western sky from faded blue to an artist’s palette of muted pink and orange tones. Across from the aquatic center, Tom and Dennis loitered at a bus stop, their teenage attire helping them to blend into the urban environment. However, despite his outwardly composed appearance, Tom was anything but calm. His eyes scanned the street, searching for any sign of their suspect. Tyrell Carson was an unknown quantity, and therefore, he needed to stay alert and not become too complacent. While Booker had voiced a certain amount of skepticism, Tom knew all too well the dangers of dealing with teenage felons, and he
“...call this meeting to order?” A deep, masculine voice spoke. Triven wasn’t quite sure who it belonged to. He hadn’t heard it before.
Zolah leaned against the terminal and coughed. The ground forces had finally beaten Revan’s army back. She hoped that the distraction had been enough to give the temple assault team enough time to deal with Revan. Reports poured in about a beam of light flashing through the sky, some claiming to have heard a voice. The possibilities of what it could mean send a cold shiver up her spine, but she refused to accept failure without concrete evidence.
Xion emerged from the dark portal into an alley. 'It's super quiet...' Wasking out of the alley, she found day that the main square outside of the Collisuem was empty. 'Where is everyone?' She wondered.
Kylo had returned to his sanctum, his personal quarters. A great many thoughts and emotions were swirling around in the Commander's mind. Far more than he could voice in a single conversation. He was excited beyond words to have finally found a way to destroy the Rebellion, excited to see just how strong Zyra were and could be. But all of that excitement were overshadowed by other emotions, new emotions. Desire. Lust. Attraction. New emotions that had surfaced only hours previous, when he felt the warmth of another being finding it's way to his very core. Just being near his new apprentice sent shivers down his spine. It fueled him, fueled his power. He could feel himself more powerful now than yesterday just because of a few short but
She started walking towards the sound, and thought that she was imagining things because she could see two very ugly little creatures that were about a foot tall running around in the brush on stubby legs. She continued to inspect the little creatures until one of them saw her watching, and ran over to her to grab her hand. It pulled her over to the other one, and she noticed that both of them had big round bellies, tiny brown backs covered in hair, and the kindest green eyes she had ever seen. These two creatures kept making the clicking noise, and as they did this, she realized that they were actually speaking to one another in a language she had never heard before. As she stood and listened, the creature that had pulled her over started making the clicking sound towards her, and she had to shake her head to signal that she could not understand
Jake Fontaine didn’t want to visit the ranch—didn’t want to voice the words, but he trudged up the steps to his grandfather’s porch, the rough-hewn planks echoing his arrival. Near the front door, two spit-bottom chairs leaned against the clapboard siding. He hesitated and removed his hat. The sweltering July breeze fanned his bloodstained shirt, and its sickly sweet stench stabbed at his guilt. How could he tell his grandfather?
The lock jiggled, and the door opened. Wildly, I looked for a place to escape, but even as I searched, I knew it was too late. The lavender robed figure was racing down.
“Hey Kat, I have and idea of where to look first.’’ Kat looked at me with her worried eyes and I told her my plan. “We can first check Salim’s favourite place to go,” I said. We ran around the corner and down the street to the nursing home where our great uncle Frederick resided. We burst into Frederick’s castle like room and tore it up like a bull would in a china shop. Salim didn’t appear to be anywhere in site, but neither did Frederick.. He could barely even walk let alone escape his room. We called Frederick’s son Sebastian to see if he knew.
Few hours later she was awakened by the scratching. She hugged Emily tight and pulled the covers over herself. "No such things as monsters!" She repeated. The covers slowly started to slide of and at the foot of her bed she saw black finger nails pulling on the covers and a shadowy figure creeping up. "Mama..." She whispered. The figure snarled and it's pointed white teeth shown causing Eve to scream.
