some other junk were rotting to his left, vines from the outside had left the interior wall and a nearby cabinet with multiple holes that exposed the wooden supports and left a green hue of color. The floor had holes that showed the inner piping, some of the holes went all the way through to the first floor. The floor squeaked and creaked with every step as Marcus tries to sneak around. As he looked at the other rooms he saw some light coming from the master bedroom along with a silhouette of a person. He readied his knife and sneaked into the master bedroom, as he entered he didn’t see the man anymore he only saw an old bed with a moldy mattress, another makeshift fire pit, a closet to the side, and a desk with a cracked mirror above it. …show more content…
While running Marcus got his foot stuck in one of the holes, it was jammed between a pipe and a plank of wood. Marcus tried to wriggle his foot free but only made it worse by having his leg go straight through the floor. The old man’s shadow was starting to move. I don’t have enough time, there’s just not enough time. Thought Marcus as he was trying to pull his foot out. The old man was getting closer, Marcus grabbed the pistol he took from the and fired. Instead of a bullet, he heard a click. “Sorry kid, nothing’s in there.” said the man getting closer and closer. Now in a complete panic, Marcus used all of his might to push himself out. It was working, he could feel his leg getting free. Almost there, i’m almost there. He was about to fully pull himself out, but then he heard a large crack and saw the wood his arms were on had finally gave up and broke. Then he heard another crack and all of a sudden felt a bit weightless as he saw the floor he was just on start to rise up, then he felt a sudden jolt of pain along with broken wood all over his body as he lands on the kitchen table. He was in pain and couldn’t really move at that moment, and then everything went completely black… Marcus woke up to feeling some tightness around his wrists and ankles and saw himself tied around a chair. He looked around and saw that he was in the master bedroom, he saw his backpack and all
His stomach was rotten, his chest was tight, and his legs could no longer move. He had been shocked at what he had just seen. It must have been a metamorphic transformation. His body began to tremble as a very terrifying reality engulfed him. Frozen against the carved mahogany staircase his eyes strained excruciatingly wide, imprisoned by the vision before him. Floating in the air was a deeply victimised entity that anchored itself around him with the thirst of revenge. Its vengeance had been astray till
-My head cleared the top of the ladder and I nearly lost my grip on the ladder as my eyes took in the horror before me. Human heads in varying states of decomposition adorned the slanted walls of the attic. The only source of light came from a small, open window. A slight movement in the corner of the room pulled me back to the present situation. Find Jenny. I moved towards the corner, my right hand tightly gripping the crowbar, and found Jenny lying on an old bloodstained table. She was unconscious with a head wound and it appeared as though something had been gnawing on her foot. Suddenly the trapdoor slammed shut behind me and I heard the metallic click of a lock sliding into place.
I press my face against the icy cold window. I watch one by one the snowflakes fall in the moonlight. I can tell it’s Christmas time even though nobody here says anything about it. It’s as if the ward tries to drag us away from any traditions a normal person would do. I think about the Christmases I spent with my kids.
Driving back to my Grandma's had become the norm due to the lack of wi-fi at my house and minor, yet constant disagreements between my stepfather and I. Owning a gray Jetta that sparkled once it hit sunlight, had an aux cord to play music that changed as much as my mood, and worked perfectly fine filled me with gratitude every time I started up its engine. On May 11 my dismal playlist blared from the partially rolled down windows in the car as a few humble tears rolled down my cheeks. This day pressed hard on my chest knowing my biological father should have turned another year older, not stuck at a young 32. Life happens and you have to keep going; however, I could have never predicted singing "If I die young" by The Band Perry and having
''Aren’t Joe and Cisco going to help us?'' Asked Barry, noticing that his foster dad and best friend were still absent as the rest of the team was preparing their plan of attack back at the lab. ''I thought you guys said they were supposed to join us here.''
“You weren’t supposed to go in there!” There he was again. “What do you want from me?” “Nothing, now.” replied the young boy. There I was in drenched clothes. I was so lost. I was sleeping and now I'm awake. Nobody told me I wasn’t supposed to go in there. “Yes, I did.” I felt this gut wrenching feeling, as if my heart was getting yanked out, and I fell. 13 floors. Every floor was different. I met all of these people. They were so nice. “It took you long enough.” said the young girl. My hands were so rough and freezing. 13 floors was a long stomach dropping feeling. “You’re finally here.” Wait no, this wasn’t right. none of it. I was confused. Well, that’s my life story. Life seemed good down here though. Nothing mattered really. Wait, no, this wasn’t right. Just when I thought it was over, it was just getting started. Where was I? Where is my family? So many mind boggling questions ran through my mind. “You did it” and that was when I knew. The young boy was back and this time he didn’t leave. Freezing hands and numb fingers. I can literally see the purple veins running through my arms, and can feel the blood flowing through. I could see it too. It was like the color red that you only see in
Remus, seeing strait through the fake interest growled and let Moony take over his mind. He said nothing but instead rammed into the door. He bounced off it and went to do it again, this time he let his magic aid him and swirl around him as he came in contact with the sturdy wood.
constantly picked flies out of my milk pail and had to be careful that one wouldn’t land in my opened mouth. I once killed a fly by smashing it between my lips. I became desensitized to the tingling of their legs dashing up and down my skin. Maybe that’s how I built up an immune system that tolerated germs and made me less susceptible to getting sick. Like how a child would hold out a finger for a butterfly to land on, I would do that same with my hundreds of fly friends. The continuous buzzing sound of the flies throughout the farm almost became therapeutic to me.
“The Outer-Ring,” he said, laughing at the irony as he braced for impact. “A new step for mankind.”
I walk to the garage which is giant , filled with nice cars with pretty colors. Not me though i hop on my baby a black Ducati since I was the leader I got choice of what car I wanted or whatever so I got a sexy beast.
The trek from Abertawe home had taken longer than expected. One of the injured men needed to stop and have his broken rib re-dressed by Merlin, and the young man got sick from the pain. They'd had to slow the pace after that, and as such, King Arthur's army did not cross the border into the Lower Town until well after the middle of the night. Normally, residents lined the streets to welcome knights home from battle, but this time, the streets remained silent. However, the people had left candles and lanterns outside to illuminate the steep path to the castle. To Percival, that act had been just as meaningful as waving banners; it was a way to guide them all home.
In a fever pitch of need and lust, Alayna pulled Arthur back to her a newfound passion burning between them as their mouths connected. This time she found no hesitation from her knight as he responded, readily to her touch. Hands roamed unexplored the firm plains and supple curves of each other’s bodies as their tongues danced. A content sigh bubbled up in Alayna’s throat as his body pressed, soundly against hers. The hard shell of his armor both a comfort and an obstacle, she was more than willing to remove.
There wasn't a thing on television. I shut off the TV and lay back on the bed with a sigh. You'd been in the bathroom for over twenty minutes, making me wonder what could be keeping you. As if in answer to my unspoken question, the bathroom door opens, and the sound of footsteps approaches. I glance to the doorway and spot you. I sit straight up in bed.
The group concluded that, at nearly five-past, the gnats would have to go hungry and they filed out of the booth. They slipped past Evan without much more than a cursory word-- whether the presence of two known staff members assuaged him or it was just in his nature to be completely unperturbed by a quintet of off-the-clock individuals stepping confidently past the Employees Only sign was unclear.
(Y/N) let out a frustrated growl and absent-mindedly stared at her screen full of code. She grabbed Kwehvin Lockhart, her rubber chocochick, from her desk and tossed it between her hands.
