James appears in a slowing fashion facing the box. He fires at it. The box opens, projects a bright glow.

The captivated Necklace emerges from the box, and rest on it. We-neg crosses over towards the necklace, admires it.

Incredible little Protector, now my wife will finally rise from the darkness, are you ready for our victory festivity?

JAMES
It wasn't my intent, but after you've finished with your prize, what are your —?

WE-NEG

JOCELYN

JAMES

My folks are vacationing, and you'll have time to recover. I heard plenty of tales about the wizard I can share.

JAMES
(becomes excited)
That's neat Jocelyn. We'll bring him and his wife a present later.

Jocelyn nods. James reflects, runs a finger along the seam line of his pants. She motions to wave her hand. His eyes widen.

JAMES (CONTD)
No! I'm running from my fears again. My dad needs me, and my dying planet needs Star-Child.

James shoots. He recovers the ball and throws it to her. Jocelyn catches it, becomes tense. She throws it against the wall.

Trenton's statue falls, scatters. James becomes frantic. He motions to run in a circle. Ropes SHOOT up through the floor.

They wrap themselves around James and pull him to it. Jocelyn runs toward James. Ropes SHOOT up through the floor.

JAMES (CONTD)
(becomes frantic)
I didn't realize the wizard powers could activate themselves.

JOCELYN
It's one of his purple enchantments. Once cast, the spell must complete its role.

JAMES
Wow, who would imagine he had trigger-happy powers.

Jocelyn shows two fingers on her left hand. She moves one. The ropes wrap themselves around her tighter. James struggles. He stops his effort. A tear rolls down his face.

EXT. PETE'S HOUSE – DAY

The wind blows wildly with eerie noises. Pete's truck CRASHES into his house as Lightning STRIKES.
